I found this car advertised on Marketplace. The picture showed the vehicle in front of a very nice house. It advertised a 2014 GMC Terrain Denali SLE2. When I got to the address, it was at a very small dealership. I asked if this was a dealership, they confirmed it was. I asked if there are any extra dealer fees and they assured me there were not. Looked at vehicle, I noticed it was not a Denali. They were a bit shocked, said his wife must have made a mistake. It ended up being a basic SLE. Was told they would do all the paperwork for tag and title. Gave them old plate for DMV. Was told there was a 30 day guarantee if I noticed anything wrong, they would fix it. After cash purchase, got home and noticed a hub cap plate missing. Called and he said he would get me one (still no word on that). My brother looked over the vehicle because the brakes were making a noise and there was grease everywhere on the brakes. I was told to have it looked at and tell them exactly what was wrong. I already told them exactly what was wrong in great detail. No offer to fix it. My brother spent 8 hours going over the vehicle to fix it. He noticed there was hardly any oil in the vehicle. thank God he noticed it and filled it with oil. I then waited for plates which never came. He said he tried to get plates, but wasn't able to - I would have to go to DMV myself. Several things I noticed during this process. Car is a 2013, not 2014. There WAS a $299 dealer fee and charge for plate transfers. The DMV was shocked he didn't do the tags as it is a law they have 30 days to get it done. They agreed to let me get the tags. I had to repay for the tag transfer again. I am a senior living on SS payments. I told him I needed a reliable good vehicle. This is why used car salesmen have bad reputations. Very disappointed.
