Crown Roofing installed my mothers roof 6 years ago. We have found over 30 improperly installed nails. The nails are starting to rust and were not visible because of the color of the shingles. I am sure we will find more when more of the nails start rusting. Their workmanship warranty is only for 5 years and think they should take care of an improper install. i reached out to them, was scheduled for 10/16/2024 but they were a no call no show. I contacted their office, and was told that if we want them to come out, we will have to pay for an inspection. I asked for the manager to call me but never received any return calls. I had another roofing company inspect the roof and was told the only way to fix this is replace the entire roof. He said the shingles were in good shape but the install was terrible.

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your service request. We understand your concerns and appreciate the opportunity to assist you.

Upon reviewing your case, we have confirmed that the issue you are experiencing falls outside the timeline covered under our workmanship warranty, as you have mentioned. I am rejecting this response because: Installation was not done properly per roofing codes. Numerous times your representatives fixed leaks and should have seen the terrible install job and made the corrections at that time. A company such as Crown should own up to their mistakes.

      Sincerely,

Crown roofing did a complete roof tear off and install on our condo unit. My husband and i were there February 2-12th ***** and our wiondows were in perfect condition. The company (Crown Roofing) were set to begin work the following week. We use this home for a vacation property and did not return until the first week of May 2024. As soon as we starting opening windows and cleaning we noticed a crack in the back window. We knew right away that Crown was the only contrtactor working on ouir property during that time and they had a lot of tearing off to do and materials thrown everywhere. We founds nails and debris still remaining. We contacted the management and CROWN DENIED breakiong our window.

I am rejecting this response because: Crown roofing was the only company doing work on our unit. They tore off the roof, gutters and broke our window. Debris from roof was found all over the rear where the window is

I am the President of a homeowners association. We contracted with Crown in Dec 2022 for a new roof after hurricane ***. We were told that the job could be started as soon as the metal for the roof would be delivered. The roof material was delivered to Crown and they could not start because they failed to apply for a permit. It took two months to finally get the permit looked at by the county and it was rejected because they entered a PO Box as the property address. It took the county another 4 weeks to finally get the permit in May and they started shortly thereafter. The dry-in was done fairly quickly, but the rest of the roof was dragging on and as of the middle of November is still not complete. Frequent calls, texts and emails to the manager, supervisors, the President have not resulted to get the roof finished. We had a roof leak in October. Supervision changes constantly and false promises occur all the time. Nobody is in charge at this company and they have absolutely no desire to finish the job. When the put our roof on fire, causing a 2 alarm fire department response, the spread the rumor that it was caused by an electrical short, even though the fire chief report assigned the cause as the flame treating of the tar flat roof by Crown.Although on the surface they have a reputation as a major roofing company, they are completely mismanaged. I would never recommend this company to do a roof on a single house and definitely not on a 3 story condo building.
