I hired ******* ****** from Public Claim Adjusters for the flood damage I had in my home during Hurricane ******. ******* stated all my items in my downstairs floor was covered and told me I was able to throw away all my items as they would be covered. ******* had also referred ****** from Allstar West Servicing to do the mitigation. ****** and ******* both stated to me if Insurance did not pay, they would not get paid. ****** and ******* had all my personal items thrown away and I documented over $100k worth of items not counting the ones I had missed as they were quite quick to throw everything. Now, ******* told me insurance would not cover the any of the damages or personal items now that he had my whole downstairs gutted and all my items thrown away. I then canceled my contract with ******* within the Florida law and abided by the contract. I hired an attorney to handle my flood claim and ******* has now stated he would not give over any of my documents unless I pay $1,500.00. There was nothing stated on his contract stating I would need to pay this $1,500.00 to receive my own documents. Or how he had come up with this amount.

Mr **** is no longer a client of ours and is requesting proprietary information from our company.

We have no contractual obligation and we haven't charged him for any work we completed including meeting his insurance adjuster, preparing an estimate, coordinating vendors, and documenting his loss.

We had a right to charge for our services rendered as the 30 day timeline was satisfied by preparing an estimate which the insured received within 14 days of the loss. We didn't charge him to void the contract as a courtesy as we do not help anyone who doesn't want to be helped.

Additionally, I informed Mr. **** of the issue with his policy the moment I stepped foot in his door the first time I inspected his property. I even spoke to his insurance agent regarding this issue and we worked on this issue for over three hours. His insurance agent said he was covered when this was not the case.

Mr. **** is confused of the process for his insurance claim even though we have spoken over the phone and emailed him and spoke to him in person. We do not sell insurance or pick the insurance policy he bought before our involvement. We can only enforce the policy he already bought.

We cannot give proprietary information to other parties unless we have a contract which we are no longer in with Mr. **** so this complaint doesn't stand on any merit.

We expect this complaint to be void.

    Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:

******* ****** came into my home and stated all my contents would be covered. He had also given me a written statement that the whole downstairs of damage and items would be covered, which is why he chose the company to hire to do my mitigation as well as have all my personal items thrown away. Once all my belongings' downstairs were thrown away, he then stated nothing was covered causing me to lose $100k alone in items not including the walls being cut, etc. I did not fail to understand, ******* failed to be transparent and lied to me. The company he hired was a company he referred.

    Sincerely,

    *** Fast

The initial complaint is filed because the homeowner is requesting proprietary files from our company.

We have no contract with this homeowner and we have not received any money in exchange for our services, we have no financial or contractual obligations with this individual as such he does not have access to our proprietary files.

This is a homeowner who is looking to receive services for free which is harrassment and is the equivalent of walking into the grocery store and touching bread and demanding that bread to be for free because someone else touched it.

If he wants access to our files our services have a cost.
