    I am being penalized by being kicked out of my residence by this company after calling 911 when I was assaulted by another tenant on the property and subsequent intimidation and vandalism ensued against me by said tenant. This company, especially the operations manager, *************************, is extremely abusive and is participating in deceptive, manipulative tactics against tenants. There is clear discrimination and personal agendas at play to the detriment of tenants and inevitably owners as well, as they do not communicate legal, safety or structural issues or happenings to owners so that they are aware of what is happening on their property. I am also seeking legal advice as Im sure there has been some landlord/tenant law violations by this company as well. Professionalism is not a word which could ever be used in the same sentence as Sarasota Management & Leasing. I have called calmly to ask questions or make requests and have been screamed at on numerous occasions by *******, the operations manager. The other tenant who is of Latino ethnicity, cant even get a response from anyone in the property management company. Lying and deception are their main method of communication and blatant abuse of tenants and unethical operations seem to be their core value. I dont believe this company should be allowed to operate in this way while blatantly putting tenants and owners in physical danger and precarious legal situations.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I was offered a renewal at the discretion of the owner. The owner was fine with renewing me until ******* at Sarasota Management and Leasing, lied to the owner and weaponized me reporting vandalism and an assault against me by another tenant to remove me from my unit where I have lived for almost 5 years. She pushed the owner to retract my renewal offer in retaliation for this attack against me. ******* is extremely abusive in the way she spoke with me on multiple occasions and was entirely negligent. She was aware of a safety risk months before I was assaulted and yelled at me, told me I had emotional issues and then did nothing to ensure or protect the safe environment of the property whatsoever. She has continued to practice unethically and I believe, illegally, and negate other reports from other tenants stating they have had the same issues with this tenant who assaulted me. ******* has managed this property for less than a year and upon their take over, has operated in a rude, passive, abusive manner to serve her own personal agenda to the detriment of their companys customers and tenants. From what I can tell according to government resources, ******* does not have the licensure nor is she even a listed officer of this company to legally make such decisions or suggestions to owners per state and/or federal regulations.

    Please note: On 6/1/23 ************* entered into a 1 year lease for the property located at ******************************************. See attached lease which shows a lease date of 7/01/23 to 6/30/24. Sarasota Management & Leasing was hired by the owner of the property and was instructed to notify ************* that they have other plans for the property, and do not intend to renew the lease. Notice of the non-renewal was sent out per Florida statutes. We wish ************* all the best in her future housing.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    That 1 year lease was a renewal of my 3.5 year existing lease. It was not brand new although they treated it as such because they had happened to take over the property at the time I was renewing. I have now lived on this property for almost 5 years. Attached Is evidence of SOME of the continued vandalism, intimidation, aggression and abuse perpetrated by the other tenant which I reported to ******* and ************************* as he filled in for her during a week of her absence. They have done NOTHING to ensure my safety despite me having to call the police 3 more times on this tenant for aggression and intimidation, post-assault. Also attached is the owners approved offer for renewal AFTER I was assaulted and BEFORE I reported further abuse from the other tenant. This proves the owner was fine with renewing me until ************************* at SM&L intervened for the benefit of her own personal agenda and dislike for me. I had a phone call with the owner of the property, ***************************, stating ************************* (an unlicensed, unofficial officer of this company, since she is NOT listed on Sunbiz under their company nor does she have a realtors license to give the advice she gave per state law since this is a corporately owned property(owners put it into an LLC 1 year after purchasing)) gave him the suggestion to non-renew me because, quote, ****** and the other tenants personalities are not mixing. He was not aware that this tenant assaulted me and asked for the police report which I provided to him. He requested that I speak again to ******* because he thought maybe she did not have all of the details. However, she was fully aware of all of the details, even the fact that I reported fear for my safety before I was assaulted and she brushed me off and told me I have emotional issues and later apologized for her actions and words during that conversation once I was assaulted by the same tenant. I have records of this that I can produce as well. When I tried to call her again, re-this conversation with the owner, she began screaming at me, berating me, and acting entirely in an unprofessional manner. These phone calls are recorded on their part as a company, which is stated when you call in. She then stated, quote, Im not going to deal with your blah, blah, blah! and hung up on me. She called back again a few minutes later to continue to scream at me and berate me. *** requested a walkthrough upon my departure from the property due to the companys history of dishonesty 3 times, 1 of which was ignored, and I have been denied another 2 times. This company has continued to be highly abusive and conduct their business illegally in many aspects.
