  On Sept 14,2023 I called Freedom Express Moving & Storage, I spoke to ****** who was genuinely nice, I explained that I was selling my house to move from New Jersey to Florida and would be needing movers possible the following month. At that time, we did a preliminary inventory over the phone, he informed me that if needed they provide 1-month free storage, I was quite impressed with that as I did not find a place to purchase at that time in Florida. I realized the estimate would change when a accurate inventory is provided, at that point he asked for a down payment to which I declined because of not knowing when my house would sell. Well low and behold my house sold about a week after so called back to book a date, at that time I spoke with ***** again took a preliminary inventory, I gave a down payment and another payment a little while after. I was told the balance was to be paid on delivery. Now here is where my problem starts, I was not aware that someone else would be picking up my property named A PLUS Moving & Storage so to say the least I was a little annoyed but had no choice, they said my property was going to be stored in Linden, N.J. Well about a week later I purchased a home and called to set up a delivery date of Nov 27th, 2023, to which I was the last drop off for the day. Well, I proceeded to empty boxes only to find some boxes were missing, the main box I was concerned about had all my personal information (birth certificate, bank records, medical records social security). I called A PLUS and spoke to ******* and was told he will check into it, he also said that those were things I could replace. I also called ****, who is the warehouse manager and was he would check, called ***** also to date no one has got back to me. The boxes were all numbered I just do not understand how they are missing unless dropped off at wrong place. Just an unpleasant situation so people BEWARE.

  ***** ********** the owner of Freedom Movers and is based in Sarasota, FL came highly recommended by a close friend of mine. She had used him for two out of state moves and was really happy with his efficiency and professionalism. So I booked him to move me from my 10 x 20 storage unit in New Orleans, LA to my new home in St. Petersburg, FL. On Monday, a day and a half before my scheduled move date with Scott, he called me to tell me his truck had broken down and he was waiting on parts to get it fixed. I asked him how long it would delay him and he said probably a day or two. As I was on a time schedule, a delay with an open ended date didn’t work for me. So I lined up another option for my move and asked him if he would do the unloading as promised on Friday morning. He made all kinds of excuses as to why he couldn’t make this happen. He didn’t want to do the unloading as he was only going to make a fraction of what he would have made if he did the entire move. His broken truck left me to scramble to figure out another last minute option, but he didn’t want to pivot and help me with the unloading on the same day he would have been doing the unloading with his original commitment. Bottom line, don’t use ***** ********* and Freedom Movers.
