I have had my computer in twice to Smart Guys Computer. Paid $100 dollars to them plus $200 dollars for extra hard drives on ****** as they did not fix the original issue. When calling to ask how to check for the second drive, as it did not appear, the man fixing computer was disgustingly rude. Told us to go f*** ourselves and the issue is STILL NOT FIXED. They also say they record their phone calls --- So this entire conversation is recorded:I want my $100 dollars back from Smart Guys.

    Business Response

Customer was charged one basic labor fee and did have to return a second time for an intermittent issue.

Here are the notes for this client
    Visit 1
System operating system corrupted and will need to be reloaded.
Reloaded windows 11 with all critical drivers and updates downloaded and installed.
Data transferred back and appears intact.
    System ready for pickup.

After repair the custoemr had the issue reappear. We recommended replacing their old drives

Customer elected to purchase drives from ****** and bring them to us. We installed both drives

    Visit 2
installed 2 new nvmes and reloaded windows with all critical updates and downloads.
System appears stable and checks out ok.
    Ready for pickup.

We did not charge for this service.

Now the problem. The first and main drive works fine the 2nd drive is not recognized by machine. Technician did forget to check the 2nd drive. It may not appear due to a compatibility issue. ********* attempted to resolve by phone to no avail. Customer was asked to bring back in for a free analysis of the issue and a resolution.

Conversation got heated and the technican did eventually curse out the client, this was not acceptable and he did talk to them again and apologized.

Not sure what the customer wants now. We have the lowest service rates in the area nad have been servicing the area for over 30 years now. We do not feel a refund is warranted as the original problem has been rectified and the new issue (with a 2nd drive) is a new problem we never charged for and we are willing to fix it at no charge.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Although we were not told of a resolution until after being cussed out, *** did apologize and told me what was going on. I made this before he apologized. I will forgo the request for a refund as I feel *** is going through a rough time and does not deserve anything extra on top.

I truly hope that he is able to get some rest and a break that he deserves. We all get flustered and frustrated. I hope this doesn't happen again, but I am glad it happened to me and no one else as I have been through hard times myself and can understand fully where he is coming from. Others might not have been so considerate.

Will be keeping him in my prayers

    Sincerely,

    ***** *****
