Wrightflood is our flood insurer and has been for many years. God forbid you are late in paying. Now 3 1/2 months after hurricane Ian, NOTHING. Can't get thru to them. We got all the way to proof of loss, which they sent to us. It was an acceptable amount. Then NOTHING, for the last month we have tried numerous times to get thru by phone. On hold for hours. Used the call back method they provide. Still no luck. The whole system is designed to stall and delay! We just want what we paid for for all these years...Business response

On September 28, 2022, our house was flooded due to Hurricane ***. The following day upon returning to my house, I filed a claim with my flood insurance company. By that Sunday, the adjuster assigned to my house was there to assess the damage. The adjuster assisted us in receiving an advance of $20,000 to get started on mitigating the house. On November 15th, the adjuster submitted his estimate to me and the insurance company and explained that I should see a payment in the mail within 10 days. Unfortunately for us, that has not happened. I have called the insurance company numerous times over the past 8 weeks (2-3 times a week) but no one ever answers the phone, I am prompted to leave a call back number for a representative to call me back. That call back has only happened once in the past 8 weeks. Last Friday, someone finally called me back about the claim. The representative explained that I should have seen the payment on the claim weeks ago, even stated that he would be expediting the claim for payment. I feel like this was a lie. No check has been issued and once again tomorrow there will be no check in the mail. The company has a text line set up to check the status of the payment. When texting the line, no payment has been issued. Without payment we are unable to finish the house enough to make it livable. We have exhausted our entire savings, maxed out every credit card we own, and put in 100's of hours of our own labor to get the house to the point it is at now, close to livable but not there yet. How long is the insurance company legally allowed to sit on this claim without paying it?Business response

Our flood insurance claim on September 28, 2022 due to Hurricane *** has not been settled. The field adjuster completed and submitted his work on December 3, **** but have not heard back from our assigned claim examiner. I have made numerous inquiries by phone and email without any response. The current state of our home has created a very stressful situation and we would like to begin remediation as soon as possible to return to some semblance of normalcy. Each time I call the 800 number they keep pushing out the expected completion time frame.Business response

My home eas flooded on 9/28/2022. Wright Flood was set up as my Flood insurance by my Insurance Agent in ********** **. I did not choose them. It is now going on 4 months sonce my home was damaged by the Hurrican ***. Foold and Wind damage. Wright flood is horrible with communication , they do not return phone calls or emails , in fact they will leave you on hold for 3 hours , I also had Colonial Adjusters , who was hired by ****** Flood to handle my claim as a 3rd party. They tries calling as well and gave up after 3 hours as well. When I try to log into their website it promps to an incorrect email for me , when I try to correct it , it will not let me. This company is the worst and does not care about its clients. Just read all of the complaints , one star says it all.I still have not received my check to begin repairs on my home , my neighbors home is rebuit and completed. All I ask for is my check , someone to reach out to me , I have been paitent and always paid my premiums. I am sure they will respond with the check was sent , well it has not been received and not one person has been in contact with meBusiness response
