The referenced firm agreed to price match the lowest bid received for the replacement of the roof on my home on July 29,2022 for a total sum of $14,900. This process from contract execution, permitting, demo, replacement and closeout took place between August 2 to September 15, 2022. Thereafter, I reached out to the roofing contractor regarding a few concerns that was resolved with an explanation. However, October 5, I noticed that the pool pump wasn't turning on and speaking with the pool cleaner, he noticed as well. The pool company tested the power source and noticed it had no power. Mind you, the pool was recently resurfaced and there were no issues then with power. It was suggested to get an electrician. I ended having to spend an additional $900 to replace the wire from the circuit breaker because the conduit at the junction box was damaged, severing wire. Prior, I performed a few critical replacement to address the issue to no avail. I texted ******* on 12/23 with the photo of the severed wire shown by the electrician, no response regarding the matter. I then emailed her, response was to deny responsibility. The location clearly shows that new plywood was installed in that location which was how the damaged occurred. I informed the roofing contractor that the final payment will be less the cost of repair and was intimidated with legal action. While the roofing contractor called on 12/26, prior to mentioning of legal action, I missed that call and when I called back, he didn't pick up the call. The balance owed is due to additional wood that was placed on outside the contractual amount and I wasn't informed of the additional work because they concluded it was what was required and I really didn't have a choice. Granted it was material that was needed but to send an additional bill without discussing the cost ramification was unprofessional. I would like to be reimbursed for the $900 spent to cover the repair cost.
