I received a letter in the form of an invoice from Labor Compliance Assistance. This I believe is a scam. First of all, I am the sole owner and worker of my business so I do not need labor compliance posters. Second, they trying to be official as if they are representing the government. Then in fine print says they are not. The previous person that wrote a complaint and then retracted the complaint after only one day, said they received the poster is probably also a scammer since their own letter says it takes 2-3 weeks to get the poster. This company is doing business under false pretenses, asking for $130 for posters that you can get for FREE!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
You say you are providing a service but you advertise in the form of a bill/invoice which is purposely misleading a customer base that you say you value but treat with dishonesty. You may be legal and found loopholes to be such, but the intentions are scam-like and dishonest.
Sincerely,

First and foremost, if you work alone without employees, you are not required to display labor law compliance posters. These posters are only necessary for businesses with employees. Our service is aimed at businesses that need to ensure compliance with labor laws by having up-to-date posters displayed in their workplaces. You're correct that labor law posters are available for free on government websites like the *************** of Labor. However, when you download them from there, you'll receive individual laws and notices that need to be gathered and printed separately, one by one. This can be a challenging process because it involves not only federal labor laws but also state-specific requirements, each of which has to be printed in the required font size and format in order to be in compliance with the law. Many business owners find this process time-consuming, and thats why services like ours exist, to simplify the compliance process. Instead of having to fill a wall with multiple sheets of paper, our service provides a single, professionally formatted poster that consolidates all the required federal and state laws in one easy-to-read format with the required font size. This helps ensure that businesses meet all legal requirements without the hassle of having to find, format, and print each individual law. While our service is completely optional and you are not obligated to purchase from us, many businesses appreciate the convenience of receiving an all-in-one poster that meets the legal requirements without the risk of missing any important updates.
I hope this provides some clarity. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to assist you in any way we can.

Same complaint as everybody else. This company sends you a bill for labor posters that is VERY DECEPTIVE and markets this bill as an official government agency invoice. My bill was for $130.00. With the threat of a $7,000 fine if I dont comply!First, as the owner, Im the only employee, so these poster are not necessary. 2nd - The posters can be obtained for free for those that need them.I want them to STOP their deceptive marketing strategy that is both deceptive and THREATENING! Their bill ilicites fear in those that are not familiar with the laws or those that dont research this deceptive company. They prey on this fear and lack of knowledge as their scam continues and BBB NEEDS to take action!!!Get your magnifier out to read at the very bottom where they say they are a non-government poster provider. TEENY TINY!!!This company and their phoney bill IS A SCAM!!!Business Response

Thank you for reaching out regarding the concerns you have raised about the letter you received from us. We appreciate your feedback and apologize if our communications have caused confusion. First of all, we want to clarify our intention. Our communication makes it explicit that we are not a government agency and that our offering is a service, specifically, the creation of a labor law poster that complies with federal and state regulations. To provide more information, labor laws are accessible from the state. However, creating a compliant sign requires more than simply accessing these laws online. It involves a process that involves researching and compiling federal and state laws, designing an appropriate poster format, and printing it to meet necessary regulatory standards. It is this comprehensive service that we provide, so there is a fee associated. We hope this clarifies our perspective and addresses your concerns. Please feel free to let us know if there is anything else we can do to help you better. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.Initial Complaint

I am rejecting this response because: this business demonstrates intent to scare recipients into buying their products by designing their letter to present as a fine or bill from a government agency by citing government laws and codes. It is deceptive and intentionalas thet they print in bold the fines and legal codes on the letter. It is only in fine small print that they tell you it is not a bill they are sending at the very bottom. This means they KNOW their letterhead looks like a fine/bill sent from a government meant agency but legally they have to tell it is not. It is still deceptive. This reasons sounds like they are honest and naive but they know what they are doing and they have continued to do it despite all the complaints against this company.

I am writing to file a complaint regarding a deceptive letter received from a company posing as a government agency. The letter in question attempted to collect money for labor law posters under the guise of official government communication. The letter was misleading in nature, creating an impression that immediate action and payment were required to comply with legal obligations. As a business ******, I find this practice highly unethical and misleading.I believe such tactics can mislead other consumers into unnecessary payments under false pretenses. This experience has raised concerns about the transparency and honesty of the company's business practices.I kindly request your intervention to investigate this matter and take appropriate action to prevent further deceptive practices by this company. Please let me know the steps I should take to ensure that this issue is addressed promptly.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Initial Complaint

This company is trying to make themselves "appear" as though they are a government entity demanding payment in order for my business to be in compliance with the law. The act of appearing to be a government entity to get money from people is wrong. Also, they're claiming to be an authority on Federal law, and laws that regulate my business. They are not Attorneys and shouldn't be prescribing law regarding my particular businessBusiness Response

I received a letter stating that I'm not compliant with the labor laws for my business. Im currently running a 501(3)(c) Nonprofit business so, I'm not sure why they are making a fake charge against me.
