Hired ***** to detail my Cayenne Turbo. Did not inform me he was out of the country. His father showed up and quote went from $300 to $1k. I agreed based on the work we agreed would be done. He wanted to take the car back to his shop. This turned out to be his house. Called late in the evening as the sun was going down and said the car was ready for pickup. So lighting was not the best for inspection. He wanted payment online before I got there.When driving away into the sunset I could see the window were poorly cleaned and you could see where the rag was wiped and where it wasnt I got ***** on the phone and informed him and texted some pictures. It was bad enough to see in pictures. Made arrangements to return it the next morning. Turns out this was the least of the issues and it got much worse. Once I was able to inspect the car in proper lighting it was still filthy especially anywhere that you had to bend down or reach up to wash. And the car definitely was not **** ***ed and machine polished (paint correction that made this a $1k detail job). You could still wipe the dirt with a finger and see it. So I was told to leave it. Worst decision I ever made. They clearly did not properly use the **** *** possibly did not wash the car first or dropped it and contaminated it. But they proceeded to seriously scratch the cars paint. Very easy to see long scratches on all panels. I sent ***** photos I took when I went to pick it up again. Said they could be corrected and he would have another employee do the job turned out to be a friend of his that was just starting out in detailing and clearly had no business with a buffer. Even more damage was done. Then after conversations with ***** he informed me that neither him or his father had liability insurance. I took the car to Porsche and they took a look at it and attempted to correct one of the damaged panels only to tell me the car would need to be painted and to other shops said the same. $30k in damage
