I booked a condo through ***********. iTrip apparently is the 3rd party who manages the reservations. Days prior to our stay I received a call from iTrip that the condo at************* was no longer available. (apparently they don't require that owners honor all paid reservations prior to ditching the horrible management company) The girl repeatedly said it would be an upgraded condo and building (I also have that in writing) and that I had limited time to approve the change as they were selling out. We basically felt we had no choice as we already had tickets to the race at Daytona Speedway and needed a place to stay. (she was correct that places were filling up) The new establishment was extremely old and outdated. The ceilings were stained, the smoke alarm was disconnected with wires hanging out of the wall, dead bugs on the floor, the unit smelled horrible and all entrances to the units were outside. (We had booked a beautiful newly remodeled unit on the beach with inside entry for privacy and security sake.) They stated it was an upgrade because it was oceanfront and had an extra room. We did not require either one. We were basically taken from the ***** to ******* and they called it an upgrade. When I asked iTrip for compensation of some sort they literally stated that I was to blame for not doing due diligence when allowing them to book us at the new condo (which they said needed to be rushed before there was nowhere else to go) and that I didn't appreciate what they did for me and would no longer correspond regarding the matter. I have pictures of both places and all correspondence to prove that what I am saying is true.
