Not worthy!!! Always looking to pass the problem off to someone else. Obviously, building a home from out of state is just not ideal, especially when your builder takes 2 years to build a standard spec home of 1800 sq. ft. w/ two car garage. Plus, the additional closing construction material costs of $60K plus for a basic spec home that should have been $350K. The workmanship was just average given the length of time to build our home. We did our own clean up throughout the home, as they left dirt, materials, etc. everywhere. Currently, having issues with Walker Homes to complete their construction defects that has been ongoing for a year now. They drag their feet until the one year construction contract is up, then they toss you to a warranty company that will 'not' cover the construction items that clearly are not under warranty from their process. Therefore, leaves you the homeowner in the middle to take care of these defective items that honestly should be covered under the construction build. Too many items to list here, but if you have a Walker Home make certain you get these defects taken care of prior to your home build one year warranty, as they are obligated. Oh by the way, Walker Homes is leaving the home building business October 1st, 2023. Several lawsuits pending against these guys, is my understanding.

I would strongly look into them. Their roof designs are flawed and they look pretty but they have flat spots and as a none builder u assume inspections are done. Walker can sign off on his own design flaws and it passes city code. Because the inspection process is north port will come out and walk around the house and look up they do not I repeat do not carry ladders. I am screwed all the way around. No recourse simple roofs are better the more peaks u have more room for design flaws. I will have to have a engineer to even think of an idea but once that's done and they see the flaws my insurance would drop me so I'm stuck. I guess selling to someone else. But I feel wrong for that mind set too

These people are the worst. Over 2 years to build a modest less than 1800 square foot house. They signed over a hundred contracts and never had the people, subcontractors or resources to build that many houses. Cut off communication with all their customers when people started making any demands. They claim during contract negotiations to get the house built in a year. Contract says 150 days after permits are issued. Permits were issued in June 2021. It is now Dec 2022.

We would express our highest praise about Walker Homes at this point.Right from the start, the planning and financial arrangements were exactly as discussed in advance. Since we live in Europe and due to Covid travel restrictions we we were not able to personally inspect the construction progress once. Nevertheless, the remote communication worked perfectly. ***** Walker and his team were very responsive, friendly and helpful for any requests. ***** himself even provided us with photos of the building progress regularly! When we entered the house for the first time, a dream actually came true. The excellent construction was evident after ********* ***, the entire house remained intact, not even a shingle was blown off. All in all it was a pleasant building process, we are very satisfied.
