I used this company to complete my roof in ********************************************************************************************************************************** my garage after they installed solar fans they keep giving me the run around and evading my issue . Saying that my 2years workmanship warranty is over however I have being complaining about this since inception of the first leak noticed . They charged my insurance almost thirty five thousand Plus convinced me to upgrade the underlayment . I wish I would have shopped around and did my due diligenceBusiness Response

In November 2022 There was an issue with the solar water heater which has been repaired and in May of 2023 there appeared to be a dent in the roof caused by some kind of impact to the roof. This was also repaired. Homeowner was informed that in the future she will need to contact her insurance company if this happens again.
On July 11, 2022 the homeowner signed a Certificate of Satisfaction which states "By signing below, I certify that the repairs and restoration to the subject premises preformed have been satisfactorily completed in a professional and *******-like manner, and the portions of the premises arein, as good or better, condition than existed previously. To the best of my knowledge and belief, no problems or complaints exist regarding such repairs. In the event a problem or complaint should develop in the future, I will notify Evergreen BCC immediately in order for the contractor to inspect and correct the problem or complaint, if necessary and appropriate, considering the period of time since the repairs and the applicable warranties."
Homeowner called again in July 15, 2025 at 9:41am because she has a leak and would like to schedule someone to come out and repair it. She's aware of the service fee since she's outside of her workmanship warranty.
We called homeowner back on July 15, 2025 at 10:19am and she became upset that she needs to pay $150 to send someone out. She said she will call back and hung up.
We have done all the repairs she has requested and because this new issue is after the workmanship warranty has expired, we charge a fee to come and inspect the issue. However, the fee will reduce the cost of any repair work that is required.Initial Complaint

This company keeps giving me different amounts for a total roofing job they finished 2 months ago.
They are scamming my insurance company. every time they get a check they add more money and gives us a new total. Roof estimate went from $15,000 to $17,000 to 20500 to 23700.Business Response
Date: 06/26/2023
The difference in the job amount is due to us
supplementing for line items that the insurance company did not originally
include in their scope. Those line items included code upgrades that are
required by the ******* ******** ****. We supplemented directly to the insurance carrier so that we would not have to charge the homeowner for those code
upgrades. Unfortunately, due to strict laws against insurance fraud we are
unable to adjust the bill and charge any less than what the insurance carrier has
agreed to pay out for the job.Initial Complaint

EverGreen BCC roofing company failed to tarp during the week of April 2021.
During that week in April 2021, they left our unit exposed to the elements.
During the Zero protection time period on the beach coast, it rained very heavy. The storm was also very windy causing some of the stone coated shingles to fly across the yard and parking lot.
Damages that were caused by Evergreens failure to tarp and protect our unit after they stripped the old shingles and previous tarp.
and our unit 302 received more water intrusions damages not directly caused by hurricane Sally.
Currently our unit has been gutted, they failed to replace the insulation. they covered it now our unit is gutted. We have been on military duty and much has been hidden from us. They have not replied and the contactors caused other extensive damages of unknown reason to our unit. Zero communication with us the home owners. WE can not move home after our military orders are over. The unit has been gutted because of water damage and mold.Business Response

We have already spoken directly with these owners. The husband is active military and we spoke about this back in October 2021. We explained to him we can only do work we are contracted to do. The ILL repair job they are speaking of is when we were hired to come out and fix a tarp that was put on by another roofing company. We completed this task and then had a very high wind storm that took off another tarp that again, another company had put on. NOT EVERGREEN. We are not responsible for any damages that occurred between the time that the tarp was not on their roof until the time we placed a new one on there. I also informed him that we were only ever contracted to do a retail roof job meaning anything that the insurance paid for the interiors caused by the storm was in no way our responsibility. We agreed to fix damages that occurred during the build which was not muchl. They did not have any of the repairs from the hurricane fixed as their carrier had paid almost 6,000 to get those done. They then contracted with our subcontractor to get work done that was paid in the scope and paid them directly. At this point their problem is with the HOA and not Evergreen. We have held up our end of the bargain and paid *** solutions the difference as discussed with ****. If they have an issue with poor clean up, they need to be reminded that they hired our subcontractors directly. We did not apply any overhead or profit and are therefore not responsible for keeping up with issues directly pertaining to work they did.Initial Complaint

This company was resistant when a leak in a closet was found after spending $35,000 for a stone coated steel roof. The original installation was installed with wood Batons (in the beginning) this means 2 inch square pieces of wood were nailed to the overall perimeter of the roof with very large nails, I have picture of the wood. Then the company sent 6 people to my house and made them remove the batons because it was also the wrong installation for a material that goes over existing shingles called CF shingles by ****** company in *****. The shingles were then installed over my existing shingles later after the wood was removed. ****** ***** showed up at my door, kind of upset because of the incorrect installation that had been started. Then the installation was started. Just a reminder that the integrity of the whole product is based on the underlayment which in this case is my old shingles, so the entire home at the peak and the sides has wood nailed with large nails and this in itself compromised my old roof. If for example the the new steel roof took on water the droplets would find their way into the sub roofing material and offered no protection. Anyhow it took a long time before the material was installed. After which an inspection by the City of **** ***** ** Fail three times for various reasons and the inspector explained what could happen as the material was a facade over the existing old shingles. A facade is an outward appearance that is maintained to conceal a less pleasant or creditable reality. That being my old shingles. (My old non-leaking shingles) Then there is a small flat roof which I mentioned before installation and the workers were going to walk away from it, I went to home depot and purchased tar paper and mastic and tinstalled it 8 months ago. Now a leak above the flat roof on their shingls was found and they claim it on a 1/4 wire they claim they foundfrom a camera They now have voided my 5 year
installation warranty.by ****** *****.Business Response

We went out and looked at the leak after the original hurricane. We found no visible leak and no stains showing a leak. The ****** Roof System can be installed with Battens, 1x4's, gutter risers, and other means based on the cosmetic look wanting to achieve. On this particular roof, yes we started to install battens. The good news is, we actually had the head of the manufacturer (****) providing insight on the installation of the roof. We continually have training on ****** products, codes and any other changes that occur. **** is the one that suggested we do the roof without the battens..so they were removed. However, this has no impact on the quality of the all inclusive roof covering that we installed. There are battens on ridges and some hips, etc. that also put nail penetrations through existing roof as again, it is a complete system, so those "holes" in the under roof are negligible. The entire install was overseen by **** the actual head of training for this manufacturer.
The homeowner called again about the leak, so we went out again to take a look. Upon arrival we found that the roof had been taken apart since we installed it and someone had run a wire of some kind all through it. The workmanship warranty is 2 years and if someone who did not install the roof makes any adjustments we cannot be responsible and the warranty is voided. We are a full General Contractor and we could have been called to install a wire on the roof for the homeowner. We asked the homeowner who did the wire installation and were told that it was there before we did the roof. That is inaccurate information. Our Production Manager was on this project many times before, during and after the build. There was no wire on the roof. The roofing crew would have remembered installing a wire through a stone coated metal shingle roof. When we came out again, the homeowner admitted to our crew chief that he himself had done the wiring and took the roof apart. When we confronted the homeowner again about it he stumbled over his explanation and ended it with racial slurs about the crew because of where they were from.
We do not honor warranties on roofs that were installed before a new named storm hits the area. This would be considered a new storm damage issue and the homeowners insurance company should be notified. It is not a workmanship issue, it is damage from a new storm.

July 22 2021 paid 12.235 1/2 of total for a Stone Coated Metal Shingle roof to be installed. Company started install Dec. 27 2021 was told it should only take 2 days this has lasted over 8 months. So many mistakes and short cuts made the county inspectors have given up and passed a final telling me I would have to settle any other issues in court. One of many concerns is the requirements to use a bonded washer screw required by the FL approval manual for my products profile The production manager showed up to the final with a copy of a different profile not requiring these screws and swore up and down it was correct. Unfortunately the inspector believed him. even after other inspections had stated the wrong manuals were on site in the permit pack. This roof is so poorly constructed I am ashamed to tell people I paid to install it . I also have a leak for over 2 months after one of the many tear offs and am told I have poked holes on purpose so they are going to void my 50 yr warranty. Now I am receiving the final bill for 200 dollars more than the contract states and no explanation why. What can i do To fix these problems an d many more.Business Response
Date: 09/23/2022
We have done everything we can to get this resolved. There have been multiple inspections because the homeowner was not satisfied. We even had the manufacturing company come all the way from ********** to check out the roof and the homeowner was told that the roof was installed correctly. Also the inspector called the manufacturer to discuss and was told the roof was installed correctly. Inspector passed the final inspection because the roof was installed according to code and manufacturers information. Homeowner admitted that he took his own roof apart and that is why the warranty is voided. We have also determined that the $200 was our mistake and we have taken it off his balance due.Customer Answer

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: statements are not true. Many fixes have been attempted for obvious defects noted by inspector and home owner. Examples are, covering up rotted wood under drip edges, not running underlayment up walls 4 inches, cutting drain holes too large. I was the one to call the product representative as suggested by the county inspector which is noted in the failed county inspection. ****** representative did find discrepancies and gave a training class to the crew. More training was supposed to take place after lunch. Evergreen representatives did not return after lunch leaving me hanging with the 3 ****** Reps. to discuss how unprofessional the production manager was treating me .The crew returned many days later after ordering new side trim and panels for the ridges. Not enough ridge panels were ordered, and trim panels were not installed correctly even after lengthy training from the factory Rep. During the next inspection the inspector questioned the height of the ridge caps and called ******. ****** stated the gap was too much. Evergreen tried to fix this, but has left me with a wavy and unvented ridge-line which still has unwashered screws poking through the cut out for ventilation where the inspector refused to climb up to see. As far as the untrue claim that I took the roof apart, this only came up after my questioning the validity of the ****** warranty due to the repeated tear offs, many scratches, foot traffic from the crew and incorrect installation. The insptector spent approximately 5 minutes on site and was miffed by the heated discussion between Evergreen's production manager and myself. The production manager brought an installation manual for Craftsman Shake and not the CF Shake and has never supplied the correct ******* approval manual for the permit pack. The inspection on 9/12/22 which is the most recent, was done from the ground only by the county inspector and would not dispute the manual that the production manager brought with him, which is incorrect. There are also issues listed from prior inspections. Do these failures not get fixed prior to a passing inspection? Inspector stated that any other issues will have to be settled by a lawyer. Please read the **** ****** inspections list of Failures for permit #********

As previously stated, we have gone over and above for this homeowner. He
stated in his response that many fixes have been "attempted", we have
repaired everything asked of us multiple times by the Homeowner, and the
inspectors involved. He also states that we did not replace rotted wood, this
is also incorrect. We have been in his attic multiple times during pouring rain
and there is no current leaks nor any rotten wood due to the replacement of Mr. *******'s roof. Mr. ******* had us tear
off most of his siding (a very long time ago) because he was going to have
someone replace it. It is still not replaced and allows water to enter his
house. This has nothing to do with his roof replacement. He replied that ******
came out and found multiple issues and had to retrain our crew, and they didn't
show back up and ...This is also untrue. The ****** rep was called out by me
from ********** to satisfy the homeowner and 2 other reps from ******* joined
us. They found cosmetic issue that were corrected on site at the time. The
large holes he is claiming, were cut that way on purpose as asked to do by
the homeowner, where the water exits the rake areas and flows off the roof (and
were also corrected on sight). What he fails to mention is that the ******
install rep found zero issues with the install other than small cosmetic
issues, which he showed us multiple ways to install in the future. As far as
them "training my guys" we have had multiple ongoing training
classes with multiple manufacturers to stay up to date on their changes etc.
This case, or this house was not one of our training classes. **** ******
onsite inspector also spoke with the ****** Rep for over an hour weeks later to ensure the roof was installed properly. The homeowner asked us to do many
things to his roof then asked us to change them which we did multiple times. He
claims that the ridges were incorrectly installed. There are multiple
ways to install them according to the end look the homeowner is looking for. We
changed it to the way he wanted. He claims that we have been rude to him but
what he fails to mention is he cusses at us, and our crew, screams and is
threatening in tone, verbiage and body language. We have had the owner of our
company, the General Manger, the manager of production (more times than we can
count) out to his house to try and please this homeowner. We have had multiple
inspectors come out from the county and we have done everything they have
asked, even to the point of us calling the head of inspectors in order to
resolve the issues with Mr. *******. We, ******, the county inspector and
everyone involved feel that the roof is installed to code. Mr. ******* has also
admitted to myself, my crew, my crew lead, and on phone recording that he has
in fact, taken parts of his roof apart. Every time we have been to his house he
has been up on the roof, trying to instruct us on how to install the
product. As we have built many, many, many, many of these roofs, it is
easy for us to tell when we get on the roof that someone has changed or
manipulated it. Mr. ******* claims that we did not use the correct fasteners
for the install for the HVHZ zone, Mr. ******* does not live in ********** ****** so he is not in the HVHZ zones. The code for the fasteners is that they
penetrate the decking 3/8 of an inch, these fasteners penetrate all the way
through the decking so more than meet code. Mr. ******* thinks that screws
should have bonded washers, this is not the case for install out of the HVHZ
zones. All of this has been repeatedly told to Mr. ******* multiple times. At
this point we feel we have done everything we can do to please Mr. *******. Tell us why here...Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:Again
*** the production manager has spun stories. Any one person that
enrages you to swear at them is doing something wrong. I feel he does
this to avoid fixing problems. As a production manager he has done a very poor job I feel he is not truthful to me or his company to coverup the lack of planning and supervision. I still have rotted wood that needs replaced before siding can be put on, loose panels, drip edges that are not attached properly verified in a report by a certified inspection contractor and ignored by Evergreen, panels that need bent up under the side flashing, a leak that is not close to any wall but is where a repair was made as specified by the county inspector. pipe flashing that was sealed with large goop's of sealant rather than the acrylic paint mixed with sand specified in manual, and so many scratches they could not be covered by over 6 touch-up kits. Crew tried one day but quit due to rain storm. never came back to finish. The standard installation manual states method is good up to 120mph my county needs 130. The only difference in the FL .approval installation is the requirement of a bonded washer screw 130 and up also wrapping underlayment down the fascia 3"" for the H.V. wind zones. I am still at odds the reasoning why they did not just do this and make my roof safer. I do know I was shorted on underlayment and scraps were used from other job sites. I am so tired of playing this he said she said . It has effected my life and health the most I can expect from BBB is other people will not fall for unscrupulous contractors I have spent way to much time trying to fix this roof that only looks good if you squint real hard. DO NOT USE THIS ROOFER unless you want to waist over a year of any spare time!Initial Complaint
