Vendor website indicates that orders over $199 will automatically be upgraded to 2nd day shipping if the customer is more than 2 days away by ground shipping. They are not. When contacted, the company stated that the customer may select the upgrade, but it is not automatic. I also verified that the nothing about the customer being 2 days away changed shipping costs. This is simply incorrect information.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/14/2024

****** from TKO Sales explained that his colleague ******** responded to the consumer's concerns and it is very complex matter. ******* was advised that he is correct about orders over $199 being eligible for 2-day shipping at the same price as their ground shipping option. However, ****** wants it to be known that normally they assist with placing orders over the phone to ask the consumers if they have a deadline to prevent matters like this.

****** advised that the consumer purchased online and since the order was eligible- the shipping section of their website showed the 2-day shipping at the discounted price but still has to be selected as the consumer's option. (Not automatically done as the consumer believed)

Thiago apologizes for this matter and the confusion it caused as they hate that the consumer did not receive the order in time. He advised the order was shipped on 07.19.24 and delivered on 07.26.24.

I am rejecting this response because: All they have done is confirm the complaint as correct.

The website says "Orders valued at $199 and up ship FREE via *** Ground". My order was over $199, so my *** ground rate was $0.

The website then says "If you live in a state that takes more than two days to ship to, our website automatically upgrades your order to 2nd Day Air for Ground rates." therefore still $0.

This statement cannot be interpreted as "you need to call us" or select something else. Calling or manually selecting something else has nothing to do with being "automatically upgraded" because I am than two days away. And yes, they did confirm that the actual package did not arrive in 2 *** business days, and yes I got to explain to a customer that a supplier error had effected his order.

They said "******** responded to the consumer's concerns and it is very complex matter." It is not a complex matter, the website shipping information just needs to read, "2nd Day Air shipping can be selected for a discounted price for orders over $199." It has Nothing to do with location and it is NOT automatic.

I didn't ask for a refund, I didn't ask for discount. I asked them to stop saying something is automatic when it is not automatic and that something has to do with location, when it doesn't. But instead they want to say it would have been handled differently by phone.

So they have acknowledge the problem but don't plan to fix it.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************
