I have sent a complaint to the *************************************** about your shiesty, slimeball, and s***** services to my in-laws. Your company deceitfully conned my in-laws into a contract for $45,878.00. My father in law suffers from dementia and did not recognize the agreement he was signing. He was under the impression that the window replacements would be $4600.00. Not $45.878.00. Please fix this error. If not, be ready for legal action.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/04/2024

We take all customer feedback and concerns seriously and are committed to resolving any issues with fairness and transparency. However, your statements regarding the contract and services provided by Best Price Contractors are both inaccurate and misleading.

The agreement for the work was documented in a signed contract totaling $45,878.00, which clearly outlined the scope of work, materials, and associated costs. This contract was executed with proper consent and due diligence, and we have records to support that all terms were explained prior to signing. The claim that there was confusion regarding the cost is inconsistent with the process we follow to ensure clarity for all parties involved.

Additionally, the work completed was extensive and fully aligns with the agreed-upon terms. It is unfortunate that you feel dissatisfied; however, the insinuation that our company engaged in deceitful practices is both unwarranted and untrue.
If you believe there has been an error or misunderstanding, we encourage you to provide specific evidence or documentation to substantiate your claims. Best Price Contractors remains open to addressing genuine concerns, but we cannot entertain baseless allegations intended to discredit our company or nullify a legitimate contract.

Should you wish to discuss this matter further, please contact us directly **************.
Otherwise, we will respectfully stand by the signed agreement and the work completed.

    Sincerely,

I am writing to formally address a matter concerning the window installation contract I entered into with your company. As per your verbal communication, I was informed that I had three days to opt out of the agreement, and I exercised this option within the specified timeframe. The reason for my cancellation is that the details regarding the loan were not explained to me properly, leading to confusion and a misunderstanding of the terms. This misinformation was a significant factor in my decision to withdraw from the contract. However, I am now being threatened by ****** *********, a manager at your company, with the possibility of a lien being placed on my property despite the fact that all parties involved are not in agreement. I signed a contract that I later cancelled within the allowed period, and at this point, I believe this threat is unwarranted and unethical.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/22/2024

    Mrs. *******,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. At Best Price Contractors, we strive to maintain clear communication and adhere to the terms of our agreements, and we appreciate the opportunity to address this matter.

To clarify, the contract you signed specifies that cancellation must be submitted in writing within three days of signing. Unfortunately, we did not receive any written cancellation request within this timeframe or at any point thereafter. It was almost two weeks later, through verbal communication, that you expressed a desire to cancel the agreement. By this time, the custom windows had already been ordered, as required by the contract. Please note that custom windows are non-refundable once the manufacturing process has begun, and the manufacturer does not allow cancellations for such orders.

Additionally, after signing the contract, you participated in a welcome call with the financing company, Renew, during which the financing terms and agreement were explained to you in detail. This call ensures that all customers fully understand the financial terms before moving forward, and your confirmation of these terms was recorded during this process.

We take your concerns seriously and would like to address your claim that our manager, ****** *********, threatened you. We want to reassure you that no threats have been made. Rather, we have explained the necessary steps for addressing non-payment of materials already purchased, which includes the legal option of filing a construction lien, as permitted under state law. This is a standard business procedure and is not intended to be unethical or unwarranted.

We are open to discussing this matter further to work toward an amicable resolution. Please feel free to contact us directly at your earliest convenience to explore options for resolving this issue. **************

On September 9, I signed a contract with Best Price Contractors to do the roof, air conditioning, and electrical panels for my house. The contract was for $21,000. The next day, September 10, the company removed the roof without city permits and tried to increase the price to $32,000. I refused and wanted to cancel, but they told me I couldn't because the roof had already been removed. This is a tactic the company uses to scam customers, as shown in their public ****** reviews, which I unfortunately saw later.I managed to reach an agreement and raised the price to $25,500. The following week, they tried to install the electrical panel and air conditioning without city permits. Now they are asking for $27,500 to complete all the work. I don't have any more money, and they refuse to cancel the contract. I don't know what to do; they have even tried to charge the financing company and intent to record claim of lien to my property without having done any real work All I want is for them to fulfill the contract and finish the agreed work. Right now, I have no roof and no air conditioning. They are asking for $7,500 to cancel the contract or $27,500 to finish it. I don't know what to do! I can only pay up to $25,500! I beg for your help!

    Dear BBB,

We are writing to address the concerns mentioned in the recent complaint. Please note that the information provided is outdated and does not reflect the current status of the project. We have been in constant communication with the customer and have gone above and beyond to ensure her satisfaction.

The roof has already been completed, and as per the contract and our rights as a contractor, the cancellation option is no longer applicable, given that the agreed-upon services have been rendered. We have worked diligently to resolve any issues, and the customer is now happy with the outcome. There should be no further concerns or complaints regarding this matter.

We value all our customers and remain committed to delivering the highest quality of service.

    Sincerely,
    Best Price Contractors

The roof was replaced, but the electrical panel and air conditioning unit are still not installed. Lack of Communication: Throughout this ordeal, the company has failed to provide updates, ignored my concerns, and offered only excuses or dishonest responses. This experience has caused significant financial stress, delays, and emotional distress.

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred yesterday, December 12, 2024. I was contacted by Ms. ***** ***** from Best Price Contractors, who placed me on a conference call with Mr. ***** ******.
During the call, Mr. ****** made several threats, stating that if I did not sign a document and withdraw my complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), he would refuse to complete the project. He also mentioned that I would be left without the electrical panel and air conditioning installation and that he would not cancel the contract either.
I believe this behavior is unethical and completely unacceptable. It has caused me significant stress, as his intent appears to be to coerce me into compliance while leaving me in poor living conditions.
For your review, I have attached a screenshot of the call, which took place at 1:55 PM. I kindly request an investigation into this matter and appropriate action to address these threats and the unresolved project.
Additionally, please note that moving forward, I will not be accepting calls from Best Price Contractors. Any further communication must be conducted via email or through the BBB.
Thank you for your attention to this serious issue. Please let me know if you require any additional details or documentation.

I also want to bring to your attention an example of Mr. ***** ******* behavior. When I informed him of my intention to file a complaint with the city regarding the attempt to install the new AC unit without the required city permit, his response was deeply unprofessional. (Please see attached his text message response)
My frustration with the situation reached a point that brought me to tears. The lack of professionalism and conduct demonstrated by Mr. ****** is deeply concerning.
I appreciate your assistance in addressing this matter and look forward to your guidance.

Subject: Response to Concerns Raised Regarding Contracting Services

    Dear *** *********,

Thank you for your email outlining your concerns. I would like to address the points raised and provide clarity regarding the timeline and scope of your project with Best Price Contractors.

    Project Overview:
You hired us on September 9, 2024, for three services: roofing replacement, ** installation, and electrical panel upgrade.
On September 10, 2024, we conducted a structural inspection, and by September 13, 2024, we had submitted the necessary Roofing permits to the City of ****************
Your Roofing permits were approved on September 19, 2024, after which we proceeded with materials procurement, engineering calculations, and scheduling.

    Roofing Completion:

After you hesitated to proceed with the project despite having an executed contract with us, we issued a notice of intent to lien to safeguard our position and recover expenses already incurred. This is a standard practice contractors use to protect themselves from potential non-payment. Following this, you reached out to our office and agreed to continue with the project.
Despite delays caused by project holds, your roof installation was completed on October 14, 2024, and it passed the citys final inspection on October 15, 2024. Permit details are available for public review City for *************** (Permit No. BLC-ROOF-WT24090060).
    ** and Electrical Updates:

Plans for the ** and electrical panel were prepared by early November 2024. However, after the plans were ready you requested changes to relocate the ** unit, which required updated architectural drawings and incurred additional time. We have documented evidence, including screenshots, to substantiate this.
As we are not architects, we engaged a third party for these services. While the original plans were completed within approximately seven weeksstandard for the industrythe changes you requested after plan completion caused further delays.

    Revised plans we
re subsequently prepared and are pending city approval. Until Final permit plans are not approved by the city we wont work on your ** or Electrical panel.

    Payment Status:

As of today, despite completing the roofing project, we have not received payment for the services rendered.
We regret any miscommunication throughout this process and acknowledge that construction projects can be complex. Our goal has always been to deliver quality services while adhering to contractual obligations and legal standards.
It appears that throughout the project, there has been consistent resistance that has contributed to challenges in its execution. The changes you requested have resulted in additional expenses, which is a common occurrence in construction projects where adjustments impact timelines and costs. While we acknowledge your concerns, it is important to clarify that seeking resolutions through complaints across multiple platforms such ******, BBB , Finance companies, ect.... does not alter the terms of the contract or the incurred costs. We remain committed to completing the project as agreed but must stress that unwarranted demands for discounts or free services cannot be accommodated.

To move forward, we are committed to addressing your remaining concerns regarding the ** and electrical panel within the bounds of our agreement. Communication is key, and we are happy to provide updates via email or through the BBB platform, as per your request. If you change your mind and you want to speak directly to me, here is my direct line ************
Please let us know how you would like to proceed.

    Sincerely,

    Complaint: 22327478

I am rejecting this response because:

    Dear ****,
On September 9th, I signed a contract with Best Price Contractors for three services: roofing, installation of a new air conditioning unit, and a new electrical panel. The following day, September 10th, the company removed the roof without obtaining the required city permits and placed a tarp over the property.
The initial contract was for $21,500 (please see attached documentation). However, the company attempted to increase the price by over $10,000, citing that the roof was in worse condition than anticipated. After pleading with **** from the accounting department, we finally agreed on a revised price of $25,500.
On September 12th, **************** was assigned to install the new air conditioning unit and electrical panel. Shockingly, Mr. ***** planned to proceed without city permits and attempted to reassure me by claiming he had installed over 150 air conditioning units that month without permits, insisting there would be no consequences. I refused to allow any illegal work to be done and immediately contacted Best Price Contractors to cancel the contract.
Following my refusal, I received a letter stating that a lien would be placed on my property if I did not proceed with the contract. This left me feeling panicked, distressed, and powerless. I communicated my concerns to Mr. ***** ****** (see attached text messages). In addition to the lien threat, Best Price Contractors also attempted to charge the financing company the full $25,500, falsely claiming that the project had been completed (see attached).
Feeling trapped and unsure of what to do, I was advised to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). This action prompted Ms. ***** **** to reach out to me, promising to take over the roofing project and assuring me that if I withdrew my complaint, the situation would improve.Trusting these assurances, I removed the previous complaint. Unfortunately, their treatment reverted as soon as the roofing project was completed.
On October 12th, Ms. ***** assigned a new person to handle the air conditioning and electrical panel project. That same day, I was contacted by *****, who asked me to get in touch with the electrician, ***,who would be responsible for the electrical installation. *** and I spoke on the phone, and he requested photos of the internal and external electrical panels of the house (see attached). On October 16th, he also asked for a copy of the property survey, which I provided (see attached). He mentioned he would send the survey to the architect for the necessary plans and that he needed to visit the house to assess the layout before completing the project.
Unfortunately, ***** did not follow up on this matter, leaving me to repeatedly call the electrician to check on the progress of the plans. *** consistently offered excuses for the delays. It was only on November 26th, over a month later, that the electrician confirmed the plans were ready and sent me a copy (see attached).
The alleged changes they claim I made were merely corrections. Since the architect never visited the house to verify the layout,he based the plans solely on the survey and intended to install the air conditioning unit in the primary bedroom. All I did was ensure that the incorrect plans were not submitted and avoid inspection issues with the city later on. The evidence they claim to have only reflects this correction, not any intentional alterations on my part. To support this, Ive attached the corrected plans and a photo showing the actual layout of the house. You can see that the kitchen is located on one side and the bedroom is next to the bathroom.
Best Price Contractors continues to present half-truths.Every time I communicate with them, a new person who is unfamiliar with the situation gets involved. Ms. *** ******* has never contacted me or expressed any intent to assist me. Additionally, the company owner, ***** ******, has repeatedly threatened me. Most recently, he stated over the phone that if I did not withdraw my complaint with the BBB, the project would never be completed.
It has now been almost four months since this contract was signed, and I am still living in a house without sufficient electricity to run a stove, washer, dryer, or water heater. Additionally, I do not have air conditioning. Because of this, my family could not visit for the holidays, and I have been unable to rent out the property.
This delay has caused me financial losses, stress, and emotional distress. If they had at least submitted the necessary permits promptly after the contract was signed, the project would have been much further along by now. However, from the very beginning of this ordeal, the focus has been on taking advantage of the situationby attempting to increase the price and even trying to install the air conditioning unit and electrical panel without the required permits.
I trust this email provides clarity on the situation. I look forward to your guidance and assistance in addressing this matter.

    Sincerely,

    ******* *********
