************************* of Stuart Financial Planning fraudulently induced ** to sell a profitable ********** annuity and buy a seriously flawed annuity by a company Select Benefit, providing no adequate disclosure of the terms of this investment. We came to ******************** in October 2020 and showed him a ********** annuity which we were doing well with but ****************** convinced us this was really terrible product and he advised us to sell it and buy the Select Benefit plan. He never disclosed any of the critical features such as caps, spreads, participation rates, and didnt tell us we werent investing in stocks and bonds.! The ********** annuity ******* convinced us to sell had produced a return of about ****% per year over the time we owned it. The **************** annuity which ******* claimed was superior to ********** was capped at producing only 3.8% per year, much less than we were already making! We made a little over one percent per year on this product. We were never explained the extremely high cost associated with the **************** product, including upfront costs, internal costs, surrender, fees, etc. We also noticed in the contract papers which we reviewed that ****************** had doctored adding a provision in a different ink, and at a different time, than the original documents which we never saw or cosigned. ****************** never determined our cost basis was $50,000, resulting in a tax loss of $39,000 when we sell this horrible investment. *******************************, an expert on annuities, analyzed the two products, and concluded that it was extremely inadvisable for ****************** to have recommended we sell ********** annuity and buy SB as ********** had a proven track record, had a much higher appreciation potential, & a lifetime, income rider, guaranteed death benefit, none of which SB had. On an investment of about $185,000, we stand to lose over $70,000 due to Kirsners deceptive marketing practices and fraudulent inducement.
