  If I could give 0 stars I would. This insurance is an absolute joke. My bf has a scheduled surgery in two weeks and without any notice they are demanding $8,450 or else his surgery gets cancelled. What kind of joke is this? Whats the point of even having health insurance? To expect anyone to just come up with that money, especially on such short notice, is not only inconsiderate but unethical. Penalizing people for needing care and being greedy is so sad. Will NEVER use Ambetter and he wont be using this pathetic insurance anymore.

  This is a garbage insurance. I have been with this insurance under my mom's name for as long as I can remember. I (25F) wear glasses and my mom (62F) has vision problems and diabetes. thankfully I got a job that now provides insurance. You would think that my mom would now be paying less since I'm off her insurance.. WRONG. they charged her about $160 when I was on the insurance, and now that I'm off, they're charging her $180+. Ambetter refuses to pay for my mom's vision treatments for her retina, AND are constantly overcharging her for a monthly 3mL of INSULIN. this is my mom's LIFE Ambetter is playing with. This is LIFE SAVING CARE that she NEEDS. she has been diligently paying her monthly $180+ for NO COVERAGE in return. they even had the audacity to not pay my mom's doctor accordingly, thus making her switch doctors because of this. she got a prescription for her insulin recently at a completely different pharmacy (she was previously with ********* and they switched her to ******** and was told that her "insurance" if you can even call Ambetter that, was only paying $100 towards her insurance. And to add insult to injury, my mom now must find $600+ for her usual GENERIC insulin.. NOT name brand. and now i'm finding out that if my mom drops Ambetter now, the *** somehow could get involved. ****** me this. What is the purpose of insurance if paying taxpayers are not being covered for their HEALTH? why is it the norm for major insurance companies and big pharma can play with people's livelihoods like this? i read in a previous BBB review that Ambetter was taking away a 13 y/o child's autism treatment because it was deemed unnecessary. I others about suspended service and trying to get people to pay repeatedly. sure, Ambetter is aimed towards ********** individuals, but why must we suffer like this? all we want is to resolve our medical ailments, but instead ********** individuals are being punished for wanting proper care. if there's a way to sue, we would.

  If I could leave 0 stars I would I purchased Ambetter health insurance in Jan and my premium is ***** a month. Well every month I pay my premium and every month they tell me I didn't pay it. Even though I give them the confirmation number for payment they suspend my insurance for non payment. I can't afford to not have insurance so I keep paying the premium again, but I can't do this any more. Once again they suspended my insurance for non payment. I have called them many times and get no where. What can I do other than submit a review

  Ambetter has been a nightmare. They previously approved my autistic son's occupational and physical therapyservices that were clearly medically necessary, well-documented by his licensed therapist, and making a real difference in his progress. Then out of nowhere, they denied the renewal, claiming the therapies could be done at home by a non-licensed ************* son is 13 years old and cannot walk independently. He can't run, jump, or do any of the physical things other kids his age can do. How exactly is a working single mother supposed to replicate the specialized interventions and equipment used by trained professionals? It's insulting, unrealistic, and potentially harmful.Even worse, when we appealed the decision, they denied that tooignoring clear medical documentation. And now theyre claiming they never received the appeal, even though it was faxed weeks ago. This isnt just poor serviceits actively putting children at risk by cutting off access to therapies they desperately need.Ambetters policies are clearly driven by cost-cutting, not care. They hide behind cookie-cutter guidelines and ignore the real, human consequences. If you have a child with special needs, I urge you to think twice before trusting them with your care. Disgusted and heartbroken by how we've been treated.

  I lost my insurance plan because of Ambetter. I set up an auto-pay with them and my insurance was canceled by Market place for non payment. They chose do not take the money from my account and when I called them, they said it's Market place, not them.

  Terrible!!!!! They terminated my insurance for no reason. They dont have a proper communication with Marketplace! Their system is the worst! I regret signing up for this company. I wasted so much time, but the worst is I still dont have an insurance.

  **************** is a joke *********** is a joke can't log in I have no information yet I called customer service and they said I need to go online really Genius why are you customer service if you can't service your customers plus how am I going to get in the app if I don't know or have my membership number wth?

  Ambetter is a scam and not accepted by anyone because they dont pay their bills. They subscribed me without my permission and will be taking legal action.

  Called to cancel our plan. Why? because we never use and they bill us over $200 a month for a service we never use. The ***, Charm, kept us on the line for unnecessary reasons saying she need us to talk with some advisory service. All we wanted to do is cancel the plan because we now have it through work. The *** said she entered "notes" to cancel and said it would take 3-5 business days. The *** said she will transfer us to the marketplace to talk with them to cancel too. For what reason? Ambetter from SunShine Health managed the plan and is biling us. The *** asked us PHI information regarding our new plan. I refused to answer her questions regarding our new plan. Her questioning me violates PHI Act of 1996. Ambeter better get with the program and conduct some training of their CSR.

  Try using the rewards card f****** anywhere? It wont work. Its literally as waste of time.
