Hello there, my name is *******************. Precisely 2 days ago, on July 13th, 2024, I went to Royalton Motors to purchase/finance a vehicle. After a couple of hours, around noon, I walked out with a 2014 Cadillac ATS, having put down a partial down payment of $2000. All I did was drive home. The car stalled on me, overheated, and had an oil leak immediately. Again, all I did was drive home. I have witnesses. Upon immediately returning the vehicle and not waiting any time whatsoever, Royalton Motors refused to give me back my $2000 right away. Today, I called them right when they opened, and two more times after that. Both **** and *****, the managers, refused to even speak to me, and I was hung up on each time. I promised myself and my family that if they do not pay me back today, legal action will be certainly taken. Deep down, I know these guys know that what they sold me was a junk car, and to their surprise, it was busted right away. Thank God I caught it. *********************** was the salesman, and all he had to say was dont involve me in this mess. At this point, it is 9pm, and I havent received any refund or any contact. i was not aware ************ called in today to speak to him or i would have taken his call. ***** has a credit with the dealership of his 2000. he can come pick out a different car if he is not happy with his current car. when he came back he said that the call was leaking oil. we had the mechanic check it and there is no oil leak. this complaint is the first i heard about the car shutting off or overheating. i will have that checked out in the morning. why wouldn't be get the chance to honor our warranty and fix it no cost to the customer? nowhere in our paperwork does it say if you have an issue with the car or change your mind that we're obligated to give a refund. in good faith if he's not happy we give him the option to choose something else or we can fix it under our warranty.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: On the very same day, when I returned the car, ***** the manager at Royalton motors said and I quote: Send the Cash App request for $2000 to the person you paid for the vehicle. If we discover that the oil leak was not your fault, we will give you a refund. Furthermore, when I continued my pursuit of the refund and finally spoke to ***** just 3 days later, ***** called me a liar and said there was never an oil leak, the oil was filled to the brim. Its obvious that they fixed the car and waited the LAWFUL 3 day vehicle refund period to speak to me. I also have a witness, my Step Father who was there for ************. These people are trying to keep my $2000, and they have no souls or morals. Im just trying to get my money back. I have filed a police report with the ****************** and am planning on taking them to court. The evidence is in my favor.

The dealership has kept a 2000 credit on file for the customer. He can put it towards a different car. The dealership sees no fault. The dealership offers a full 30 day warranty for its cars and is willing to honor. We don't allow customers to just change there mind as its a bad precident that anyone can go use a car for a weekend and return it monday.Customer Answer

In other words, I simply drove home and back, experiencing all of the issues it displayed, including the oil leak that they say never happened. Once again, I have witnesses to this entire story. I will be taking Royalton motors to small claims court, since they are refusing to give me a refund.

Bought a 2017 *** for almost $20,000 1 month ago which has had non stop mechanical issues. When taking it back we are promised it will be repaired. They keep the car for the entire day and return it with the same issues. They warrantied the car for 30 days and now they are giving the run around to fix the issue. The name is under ***************************. We have both called ****** multiple times and have spent more than 4 whole days of lost work income to sit there to wait on the car to be repaired and it has yet to be repaired. ****** gives us the run around about parts being ordered when the engine light has been on since day 1. We have taken it to have the code read and it is the catalytic converter. All ****** does is reset the code and send us on the way for it to come RIGHT BACK ON!! Royalton Motors sells bad cars and all they think about is money money money. Worst experience ever. In February I put down on a 2020 ****** Altima. It had a cracked windshield and also no seatbelts I was told to bring the car back in the next day to have it fixed. I took the car back and nothing was fixed I was told parts was ordered but some of the parts couldnt be found. Down the line I noticed the car horn was not even working. I went somewhere and got a car fax on the car I found out that the car was in a severe accident which i still have proof of. All airbags were deployed. So the car had no horn, crack windshield, no seatbelt. No airbags and the list goes on. Royalton changed the car. The only car I was able to get was a 2016 ******* Elantra hatchback looking thing. I didnt even have the car for 1 week the engine lights came on the horn wasnt working and the car was running crazy. They changed that car also. The car I have now I thought was going to be the one that I would be able to keep and next thing you know engine light comes on, overheating signals keeps coming on the reservoir had a crack that I was blame for. The car been parked due to it overheating. Also the down deposit to the 2020 Altima was $4000 they changed the cars and never changed the down deposit. The car I have now deposit is only 1300 and they are making me pay $4000 down for it. I want my money back I have two kids under the age of 6 that I cant be walking on the streets with and I need a car to go to and from work. I was sent to their mechanics plenty of times and all of a sudden I cant go with the car to see whats wrong with it. I refuse to have them check the car without me seeing what is being done because these people are scammers. I have printed out so much evidence and so much paper work on this place and Im going to court. We work hard for our money for it to go down like this. I am rejecting this response because: Royalton Motors knows the situation was not handled. This dealership mechanic shop is 4 mins away from their dealership. I been sent there plenty of times for all the other damaged cars to be checked. I even sat in the car once while the mechanic checked the car to see what issues the car had. All of a sudden I'm not allowed to go to the mechanic for the mechanic to just check what problem the car has. with the history of this dealership I do not trust these people to check my car without me being there to see exactly what is being checked. so many complaints by different people with the same story. WE ALL CAN NOT BE LYING. a few weeks ago I went to the dealership and screamed to the top of my lungs at the manager ***** for having the audacity to say they was doing me favors for switching the cars out for me. But all the cars I'm getting are lemons. second he accused me of hiding from making payments I'm there complaining about the issues my car has and he's worried about payments. All they know is Are you going to make a payment? When are you going to pay? I was charged way more down down deposit than what the car deposit was for the 2018 car that i have now. i was accused of the one damaging the cars when the cars already comes damaged. the car i have now was in a crash in 2020. less than 1 month the car is giving issues just as the first two cars i had from Royalton. I don't trust this dealership at all. reading the issues others have will scare anyone. the way the two managers spoke to me that day makes me don't trust them at all. i have messages saved asking for my money back . i have proof of the cars i had and the damages that they had. the first car i had i took a trip to the tag agency and the car had a lien holder on it and i was listed as a second lien holder. Royalton can have their car back. there should be no way that I'm financing a car and in less than 2 months the car is already not able to drive due to car problems. I will continue to fight for my money. I have young babies i refuse to walk and catch bus with i refuse to lose my money that i work hard for. i don't have a money tree in my backyard. the same way Royalton wants their payment so bad is the same way us customers want our money also. I will continue to go to the police, i will contact ****************** of motor vehicles and will also continue with my small claims court. i will not give Royalton a free $3000 plus. I been to the mechanic plenty of times for them to check what problems the previous cars had, I even sat in the car one time for them to check the car. You people cant be trusted at all. Everyone has the same story. I returned the car because Im not going to continue to put money on a car that dont work. When I can go somewhere else that has honest people working there. I already spoke to the bank and told them I will not make a payment for a car that is parked and cant be driven. The bank been knew I wasnt going to make a payment with them. You guys moved so fast when it was time to come get the car but you guys dont have that quick moving energy when customers call for issues dealing with the damage cars you guys sale. I should have never came to Royalton. You guys changed the business name so many times before it became Royalton. Just rude, obnoxious money hungry ndividuals. Steal people money all the time. You guys even steal from the employees thats works for Royalton. The sales people has to pay you people $200 for each car they sell that gets returned back from customers. I SIGNED A SALES CONTRACT ON 01/05/2024, MY SIGNATURE WAS FORGED BY THE SALESMAN ON 1/19/2024. HE ADMITTED TO DOING SO IN A TEXT MESSAGE. THE **** THEY SOLD ME IS A LEMON. we have had open communication with the customer. the customer has been driving this "lemon" since januarey. she has already agreed to signing her original contract and spoken to the third party lender whom her current relationship is and acknowledged this. she has since made a car payment. there is a verbal agreement between the dealership and customer to trade her out as soon as a car of her liking comes into inventory. she has come to look at two or three cars and in the end chose against them. we are still committed to her satisfaction and she has been explained that as soon as another ******** of similiar value comes we will call her and hopefully be able to work something out. she has been in agreement with this. the customer has stated that she will only buy a ******** benz so this has slowed down the process.Initial Complaint

i'm not quite sure what response you are looking for. the car was repossessed because customer was in default of payments. whether he had issues with the car or not had no bearing. he could have brought it in for warranty work but never came in because he most likely feared repo. there is no refund. if he would like he can come buy a different car.Initial Complaint

My name is ***************************** and I purchased my vehicle on October 30th 2023 the car already had things wrong with it they told me I had to bring the car in the next day so they can fixed them like the brakes,********* change & headlights well unfortunately they only did everything except my headlights. On November 23rd 2023 I was driving on the highway and my car instantly shut down at 75mph so I pulled over to the side to let the car sit for a minute then tried to crank it back up and NOTHING . I contacted the dealership to see if they can get a tow they said they didnt have any I had to come out of pocket to get it towed to the dealership, I waited 2 weeks for them to fix my car (while paying prom pay) I received a call on December 7th saying I can come pick up my vehicle but the insurance I had cancelled and they wouldnt give me my car back and told me if I didnt get any insurance they my car was going out for sale Im on a f****** fixed income they dont care at all I only had the car 1 month I just a refund thats it thats all.Business Response

***************** had a mechanic issue with his car in which we covered under full warranty with no money out of pocket. In between the course of ** fixing and him wanting to pick up his insurance cancelled. It is illegal in the **************** to drive a car without insurance as well as his contract he signed states and he acknowledges that he must carry insurance on the car. This was explained to him. I went to this business to buy a vehicle, was shown a 2018 ***** traverse. I had a trade in a ***** groom. They said they would take it and we did all the paperwork it looked fine I signed it they Made a promissory note for an additional 2500$ down. I took the vehicle home and looked at the paperwork they put that I owed 9500.00$ on my paid off motorcycle, and they would pay it off so I called and they assured me is was for the bank. I didnt think anything of it but had a bad feeling about fraud. I payed the 2 promissory payments and my tag expires. They tell me my tag is ready and its 600$ so I go to my local tag agency to see and they tell me there is no lien holder on the title so they cant give me a tag I called the dealer and they said they didnt have it. I filed with the dmv an investigation and they gave me a paper tag, a month later I go back and magically they have a Lein holder on file. On July 24th, 2023, I purchased a *** from this dealership and provided a down payment of $900. I was also committed to making subsequent payments of $1,033 every two weeks, with my first official payment due on September 7th.Regrettably, my experience took a turn for the worse just a month after my purchase. On August 23rd, the car failed to start. Initially, I suspected a battery issue and promptly replaced it, but to my dismay, the car still refused to start. I called a trusted mechanic, who conducted a thorough inspection of the vehicle. The mechanic discovered severe problems with the starter, alternator, and various other issues, deeming the car to be a "lemon." My attempts to contact them regarding this issue have gone unanswered. I made numerous calls seeking assistance and resolution, but no one from your here has reached out to address my concerns. It's worth noting that I was on the verge of making my final promised payment when this unfortunate incident occurred. Given the significant mechanical issues with the car, I want my refund of $2,996.00, encompassing my down payment and the payments I have made thus far. This request is entirely justified considering the car's dismal performance and its classification as a lemon. I want to make it clear that if my request for a refund is not promptly addressed and resolved, I will pursue legal action against Royalton to protect my rights and interests. I deeply regret not heeding the numerous negative reviews I encountered about this place before parting with my hard-earned money. I wanted to believe those reviews were unfounded, but my experience has sadly validated them. Please stay away from this place. It is evident that the primary focus of your this place is profit, often at the expense of customer satisfaction. When issues arise, the lack of responsiveness and support is inexcusable.
