On 11/09/2024, I went into Amped Fitness in ************* ******* to cancel my 2 year membership. I was informed by employee *********** ***** that I owed a late fee in which I argued as my card is on auto pay. However I ultimately paid the late fee, and also was informed to pay the ***** cancellation fee. I did so, and was informed that my account was current and I would lose access to the gym the next day on 11/10/2024. I then received a collection notice on 4/4/2025 for ****** stating I failed to pay the cancellation fee of *****. This is scummy business tactics and I need the collection dropped. I have sent the required documents to your collection agency, (in the form of my receipt paid on the day of canceling as well as my cancellation agreement) and they returned to me saying it was denied, citing that *** has sent me back documents proving I failed to pay the collection fee. The supporting documents they sent me were only in regards to when I started my membership. They sent no supporting documents showing how I did not pay a cancelation fee. So in case it was missed, my receipt of cancellation and also my SIGNED cancellation notice is attached. I will seek legal guidance if this is not resolved. Judging by the comments from this BBB thread, it looks as if a class action may be around the corner.

$1400 was taken from my account after I told them I never received personal training services at this location. I came in and ****** the manager showed me where my name was forged on the documents. He then told me I would receive a refund and he would take care of it hes discussing it with his regional manager. That was 4/22/2025. Since then I havent refund or a email a call I mean nothing. Everytime I call hes not in the building and a front desk clerk even told me he had other things to do and was so busy. Im due to move that was my rent and daycare money. My child cant go back unless I pay them. This is beyond an inconvenience my lively hood is at jeopardy.

I signed up for personal training for 6 months last year in April. During sign up I was never informed that the personal training would revert to a month to month charge. So unbeknownst to me I had been getting charged $100 starting in November. I had no idea these charges were happening as I wasnt informed and rarely check my bank account. I canceled my membership with the gym in February, which terminated my membership March 8th ***************************************************************************** was mentioned during cancellation. So as of March 8th I was no longer a member of the gym. I finally noticed the charged in June and immediately contacted the gym for a resolution. The resolution being they would cancel the training, and reimburse only $300. I have a voicemail on my phone stating this from the gym. I got charged again in July. In which point I contacted the gym again and spoke to the ** this time. He claimed he his *** would never offer financial reimbursement, again I have the voicemail proving he did. And the gym is unwilling to reimburse the $900. I have asked for the contract I supposedly signed to show this clause and it was never provided. So in short I was lied to multiple times. Told I would receive partial reimbursement, then denied reimbursement at all. I would like the money for the personal training they failed to make me aware that I was being charged paid back to me. I was under the belief that once my 6 months were up I would have to renew since auto renewal was never mentioned to me at any point.

I joined amped fitness in ************* in April of this year. By the end of April, I was having medical issues which kept me out of the gym. By June I was still not well and scheduled for an August surgery. I went in to cancel my membership and personal trainer. I was able to cancel my membership but I was told I need a note from my doctor to cancel due to medical reasons and avoid a hefty cancellation fee. I don't know how hefty it was because I was never told. I can't get a note from my doctor until after surgery I'm told. I'm no longer a member of this gym. My last day was July 29th. But they are still billing me for personal trainer sessions that I haven't received since April. I went in to ****** in June when I realized I was not getting better and couldn't physically work out. Shame on amped! I just want to cancel my personal trainer membership. I don't even have a gym membership there anymore, how can I go there for personal training?

I went in to gym per contract to cancel membership. Was told by worker it was canceled then later find out it was not. I did this specifically on that day so I wouldn't get another monthly charge. This company makes it impossible to cancel and I suffer with some social anxiety. Also the company has uncomfortable sales tactics for their members making it hard to want to enter when you will be asked and made to feel bad if you don't get training or do classes. Someone really needs to reform these gym scams that don't allow you to cancel over the phone or in their app. Some customers just want to be left alone.

all members are told at the time of signing and in their initial sign up documents that cancellations are done on a 30 day notice, so when they come into the establishment they sign a 30 day notice of cancellation which this member did, and the membership was effectivly cancelled within that 30 day time period.

I became a member of this gym early last year with a contract to have a personal trainer meet once or twice a month. Over the course of the next few months I was routinely denied the service due to the company being unable to keep employees, the management forgetting to assign me to a trainer. In October I decided to cut ties to the company and stop paying for a service I wasn't using or being provided. I was told after paying a final payment that I was done and wouldn't be billed anymore. Today I found that I have been billed consistently for the last 8 months with out my notice, last month the billed me triple the amount I ever paid monthly and this month they billed me triple what the billed me last month. I have instructed my bank to stop all payments and disputed the transactions I was able to through them. When I called the gym the number went straight to voicemail and the mailbox was full so I couldn't even leave a message. This has been with out a doubt the worst customer experience I have EVER had and will tell everyone I possibly can how this company treats it's customers and keeps billing them after telling them to their face in person they wouldn't be billed again.

I had an amped fitness membership and I even paid for the personal training. After about 4 months of personal training, my trainer (congrats to her - she was amazing) got promoted and moved to the another amped location. I was then given an another trainer, but it was extremely hard to schedule with her because her available times were not times I could due as a result of work and school. There were no other accomodations that could be made and on top of that she barely reached out to me to assist in trying to schedule me. I don't believe I should pay for a service I did not receive after I got switched trainers. The new trainer already had her clients set and when I got moved to her, the level of service I had with amped dropped. I was unable to get scheduled at a time that worked for both of us. I am not paying for a service I did not receive, therefore voids any contract. Also, they sent me to collections when I received no contact from the trainer or amped staff.

I signed up to use the facilities at Amped Fitness ************* in February on 2023. I sent certified mail in January of 2024 to cancel my membership as I had moved. I had been called several times to pay an amount that was incorrect. I attempted to call several times with no voicemail. I attempted to email with no response. I attempted to send messages on social media with no response. I attempted to reach the owner with no luck. I attempted to reach the manager on duty multiple times. There is no voicemail to leave a message. There is no one to return emails or messages on social media. They have falsely reported a debt to a collector that is the incorrect amount.
