2 starsQuoted for a level 5 job (most expensive) invoice came it it was a level 3 job. Asked for the price to be lowered to reflect that. No they could not lower it. Debris supposed to be picked up no later than 48 hours it's been 4 days the limbs are still laying in my front yard. Ended up be $1000.00 an hour job. They said it would take a day maybe a day and a half to complete job, it took 3 hours.

It took nine to pick up the debris. this not acceptable. I am still not happy that the price was not reduced to a level 3 job. But I see others have complained about you over charging and not giving a corrected amount for the job. That is just being a crook. Bee sure we will not need your service ever again, and I will make sure to tell everyone not to use your company.Review fromEvelyn P

1 starI sure wish I had read the reviews BEFORE hiring Tri-State Tree Service and I am here to warn others about them. The Tree trimmers did a good job on Sept. 23, 2024, but left the large limbs and debris on our grass saying it would be picked up the next day (Sept. 24) between 8 and 12. They did not show up nor did they call so we called them back. They said they would definitely be there on Sept. 25 but again they were a no show and no call. We called back and asked to speak to a manager. A man named Alex called back and said they had a crew quit but he was putting it on his calendar for pick up on Sept. 26. AGAIN, they were a no show and no call. It was then we discovered ALL phone numbers listed for Tri-State had 850 area codes; ********* ********* ********* ********* ******** and ******** ALL go to a "call center" or answering service. We spoke to Shana who apologized and said they would be returning $225 for the inconvenience and it would arrive in 5 to 7 business days. She also said Alex would call us back to arrange for debris pick up. He called back and said Shon would be picking up on Saturday, Sept. 28. He was a NO SHOW and when we called one of the numbers above, we got a recording saying they were closed on Saturday. On Monday, Alex called and gave us the phone number for Shon. We called and got a message saying the mailbox was full. He finally showed up on Oct. 1 and said his truck had broken down. By the way, we never did receive the refund of $225 (which we were going to send to a hurricane Helene relief fund), nor do we expect to after all the bold face lies we were told. Buyer Beware. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!

Please return deposit for the following reasons:
10:00AM appt. time given
My wife had to call around 12N to determine the status why no contact was made about the missed appt. time
Wife was informed that they would be at our house in 20 minutes
Wife called back around 2:00 PM to cancel job and return deposit
Un-professional job with no communication to customer regarding appt. status + you lied.
I will find another contractor who will show up when they say they will.
I am sorry there was poor communication. I'm not sure why that happened but the crew was in route & would have been there that day. Y'all were last on the list. Apparently the job the day prior was not completed & they had to finish it that morning. I do apologize. I will have it refunded.
Larry, can you help me out today? Pls reimburse my deposit. Thank-you.
I just asked about it. He's had it on schedule to do it today. So you should receive check earlier next week.
I hate to say I will be disputing my credit card charge with my bank by 3P tomorrow since I have received no check thus far
PS. Why could not my credit card charge be reversed instead of waiting for a check to be mailed to me.
Left check under mat at front door.
Received check for less than credit card amount
(21 minutes ago)
There is a 3% credit card fee of $5 & some change. The deposit was of the amount on the check. That's what we owe you on. Not the 3% you agreed to pay to pay with credit card.
I understand.
Thanks for all your efforts to not meet my expectations through the whole process of not meeting your appointment time commitment and taking over a week to obtain most of my deposit back.

1 starI arranged for tree services on my property in March 2023 that resulted in several issues that were not resolved adequately.
1. The agreed upon proposal was not completed and I was told I'd need to pay more for them to complete the job agreed upon.
2. My fence was damaged and no workers notified me prior to leaving. It was disappointing when I realized that upon coming outside my house after they'd left. I immediately emailed customer service and also left a voicemail. It wasn't until the next week did I get a response. Following that, it was a complete nightmare trying to get it fixed. After a lot of going back and forth, someone finally came out to "fix it". Unfortunately, it resulted in way more issues than a broken picket. When they "fixed it", they placed a picket that was too long and delved into the dirt and made it difficult to open/close my fence door. The only way to open it was by digging the dirt in the path of that one picket out. It also raised the rest of my door and made my latch not align properly. It went from a broken picket to a non-functional door. I immediately informed customer service and got a call back indicating that someone would correct it; however, no one did that week. I gave them an additional week prior to calling them back and Jeff who answered stated that he would come back to fix it personally. He never came. I emailed back and didn't get a response. I waited an additional week and emailed again--I got a response back and was told that it was the best they can do. The issue is, they never came back to shorten that picket, so I do not believe that "repair" is the "best" they can do.
3. The debris was left in my front yard and not picked up until I called back multiple times requesting for it to be picked up.
I highly advise anyone else to avoid them if at all possible. If my experience is representative of the norm, you can expect zero decency/professionalism/service if there are issues that arise.
