    What does it take to have someone at the PNJ to read emails and call me. This has been going on since 2020. Why do I bother? My almost 90 yr old father in law who loves his newspaper and been a customer for over 50 yrs! At one point I made contact with customer service of Gannett, the company that owns PNJ. They were able to address the issues, but not much time went by and it was back to no customer service. I want to speak with someone that has already read my emails, reviewed his record and can answer my questions and resolve the issues.

    It took three days for the delivery to start after calling to let PNJ know delivery didn't start on time. They missed the paper again on 2/1. A nightmare to get a carrier back out with the paper. They missed again this week 2 days. Again, talking with people at the 877 number who say nothing except what seems to be on a script. "It's out of their power to do any thing. Can give the missed copy to you the next day". This is a daily newspaper. The only reason I ordered it was my neighbor's 75 year old Vietnam War veteran with illnesses caused by Agent Orange is visiting from Ohio for the winter and is "old school" and likes the daily paper. PNJ says that his house is out of the delivery area (evidently my house and the business across the street are on the border of the "area". So at 6 a.m. my husband takes the paper across the road a few houses and delivers to him. There's no one to help with insuring the carrier delivers the paper. The business across the street gets their three copies every day.... Go figure...
