    On the evening of August 19, 2024, I called Hamrick for an A/C repair based on a recommendation from a neighbor. The technician visited after hours around 830pm. He stated that the charge for after hours servicing of my A/C unit would be $139 which we agreed to and paid. Upon arrival, we advised the technician that we had a newborn baby and could not be without air conditioning for the evening as it’s dangerous for the baby to sleep in a hot house all evening. He assured us that he would clean the unit for an additional $350 but could not clean the coils until the unit defrosted the following day. We stayed at our parents’ house that night and agreed to have him come back to finish the work. After cleaning the coils the following day, he advised us that the temperature had dropped by 1 degree and should keep cooling after he left. Therefore, we paid him the additional $350. However, the house did not cool off any further and we called the technician to advise him of such. He states that he would not return for further diagnosis of the unit until we installed an additional return vent. We advised him that we had ice cold A/C for the past 10 years in this home and never needed an additional vent. He continued to insist on the vent and refused to come back to our home to actually repair the until. Therefore, we paid Hamrick over $500 and received nothing in return. This is consumer theft and we should be entitled to a full refund. We hired another company today to service the unit and they successfully diagnosed the problem in less than an hour. After a 2 hour repair our A/C is again ice cold with no additional vent. It only needed a Thermal Expansion Valve. I called and asked for a refund today but have not heard back from the owner of the company. We demand a full refund of this $500 consumer theft and will also file a complaint with the Attorney General of Florida if the refund is not issued immediately.

    I have been using Hamrick for several years with no issues. We prepay for our routine maintenance. The company always contacts us when it is time if i don’t contact them . I had an extensive surgery done and forgot about it until last month . When I called to schedule it the ladies response was yes it’s been a year … would you like for us to set a date . On 8-2-23 a service technician by the name of Colin came to the house to perform a service inspection that was ALREADY PAID FOR . It was explained upon Mr. Colin’s arrival that I had just had another surgery performed. He was rude from the beginning of the visit . He started his maintaince on the outside unit . I always watch any technician in my home in order to ensure I get the service I paid for. Colin was not our normal tech, while I understand any service tech can be utilized, when I asked about the gentleman that has always done it , Colin’s response was why is there an issue? Upon entering the inside he was wanting me to bend over and look at a portion of the AC unit inside I explained again twice that I couldn’t bend I had just had a surgery done , Colin’s response was “ I’ll figure it out myself.”. He did not clean the inside coils with a shop vac , when I asked why his response was it was to dirty that vacuuming would just make the situation worse . His suggestion was that they replace the evaporator coil for $1000 . When I asked for the photos he took so I could show my fiancé before dishing out a grand his response was I’ll send it when I get a chance. We are still waiting. My fiancé did his job for him and I have attached the photo of the cleaning with a shop vac. I own huskies so it takes a good cleaning . I attempted to call the office on 8-2-23 when he left , was told they would call me back , never happened . My fiancé tried to call same thing , We sent a email , and went to the office in person, all at diff intervals. l was told they would return our call and get back with us . It never happened.
