Me and my fiance and kids were offered a 2 bed 1 1/2 bath apartment for 1500 down and 1300 a month we moved in feb 2023 when we signed the lease it was basiclly month to month because we wanted three bedroom and they had some coming available in june of 2023 so we took the 2 bed in hopes of getting the 3 bedroom in june. While we stayed there we had things that need to be fixed that never got fixed we complained to the office numerous of times to be told that mainteance will fix but never did. We was told at lease signing that if we kept the apartment in good condition once we move we would be able to get our full deposit back never mention any automatic deductions for cleaning would come out of the deposit so when we decided to move because rent was to high things were not getting fixed new management started saying oh well we have to take 350 off for cleaning fees we cleaned the apartment throughly and have pictures and video my fiance was able to walk through with maintanece to see if we would get anything taking off and they stated we were good and we should receive our full deposit back here it is 2 months later and we are still getting the run around about getting our deposit back we have tried reaching out to corporate no one ever call back the management cant tell us anything and keep saying we will receive it by mail and its been a month since they supposedly sent the check to use. They say they can not cancel the check and just write because they do not have a way to do that. All i want is our money its the holidays and that money sure would come in hand we have reached out to them on a daily basis and all we get is a bunch of lies and no one from corporate to talk too. The general manager alao expressed that nobody ever get their deposit back which i do not understand why not.

I want to move out because my car and several neighbors cars has been vandalized and they don’t want to do anything about it at all and at this point I don’t feel safe I have made sever police reports and still nothing has been done the property manager slammed the door in my kids face and told me they don’t handle those situations and to call the police I have done that several times and she was even nasty with the officers

I show this person has moved out as of 4.29.2023.  This tenant was on a Month To Month Lease and is still responsible for supplying the property with a written 30 day notice and to leave the apartment in good condition, which did not happen.  The apartment complex parking lot is a public parking lot.  Issues with vehicle damage caused by vandalism should be handled by the police. The tenants then can receive a police report to turn into their insurance. This tenant had not been sent to collections as of this date but move out photos have been taken and the apartment was left in terrible shape with lots of stuff left behind.

I called and spoke to Caitlyn at the leasing office of Cypress Ridge apartments on 4/19/2023 at approximately 9am. I asked her if the HUD housing voucher was accepted she advised me yes and the apartment application fee was 50 dollars per adult, I explained I have 3 dependents in my household 2 of which are 18 and older. She said your application fee would be 150.00. I arrived at the leasing office with my 20yr old daughter around 11am 4/19/2023 and completed the applications. I submitted my income and my sons school income, ID's and social security cards for everyone as well as my RTA (Request for tenancy Approval) for HUD and the new voucher by email I have receipts for all. I called the next day and spoke to Ms. Carrie and was told they do NOT accept HUD after I explained what happened she told me my application was approved and she will accept my HUD voucher due to the situation but she could only send the RTA once the deposit of 1500 is paid and its non refundable. HUD has to process the RTA they don't know until its process whether its approved or not. The normal process is once a person pays application fees and the application is approved the landlord sends the RTA to HUD for processing( turn around time is 24 to 48 hours) once its approved then the landlord request the security deposit or leasing agency request deposit be paid in 24 hours. Caitlyn and Carrie were very nice and professional. How is it legal for the company to require the deposit be paid before RTA is even submitted and if the RTA is not approved you keep the tenants deposit. A deposit is for damages to the property how can you keep the deposit if I never occupy the unit, application fees are to process the application. All I need is for the RTA to be completely filled out sent electronically, once approved which only takes about 48 hours I will happily pay the deposit I know the unit will pass inspection and thats the last step. If this cant happen refund my app fee of 150.00
