I am rejecting this response because:

When someone makes a mistake, they should own up to it and do what is right, especially when it affects their client, financial matters, and potential legal issues due to their own incompetence. First World Realty Group, led by ********************************* (******) and ******************* (listing agent), did everything but. They preferred that their own client and I spend money and time on lawyers and courts rather than accept responsibility and work out a solution. Not even an effort

I am not personally acquainted with ******************* beyond the brief period during which my agent and I worked with him on the property I am currently leasing. Unfortunately, this experience was unsatisfactory, marked by numerous delays and a lack of attention to detail.

Here are the facts in response to their statements:

    1. Misrepresentation in *** Listing: They were indeed the listing agent. However, from the initial setup of the listing in the *** system, ************ failed to convey that no pets were allowed per his client's direction. He entered the listing into the *** indicating "Pets Allowed /No Restrictions." This was the first major error.

    2. False Claims about Pet Restrictions: This claim is entirely false. We have provided copies of all the offers stating that pets were allowed (some signed by all parties), copies of the *** listing that stated pets were allowed, and numerous conversations with my agent about the dogs. ************ clearly knew and, at the very end, sent out the lease agreement, checking the box indicating no pets allowed without informing anyone. For *********** and his broker to claim they knew nothing about the pets is completely dishonest. If true, it means that my agent, their customer, and I are all liars. It also means that ************ never reviewed the *** listing or the offers and pre-contract paperwork, all of which stated pets were allowed.Additionally, ************ was at the house when the dogs were present.

    3. Knowledge of Bathroom Leak: ************ was aware of the bathroom leak, as he provided a dehumidifier for the homeowner. The problem is that he never disclosed it and turned his head to close the deal.

    4. Poor ***************** This response exemplifies poor customer service. The agent avoided direct communication and hid behind his broker, failing to address and resolve the issue. The broker was immediately defensive, refused to accept any responsibility, and suggested that the issue be resolved in court. Clearly, he spent no time researching or accepting any responsibility.

This situation illustrates the problem with some real estate agents and firms in *************, which tarnish the reputation of the industry. This firm and this agent are prime examples of such unprofessionalism. They should not be in the real estate business. This experience was highly disappointing and far from what one would expect from a professional outfit. It strained a great relationship between their client and the client's renter and almost sent us to court, incurring major legal fees, time, heartache, and stress. Thankfully, my agent (who jumped on things immediately and went out of her way to assist), the homeowner, and I were professional enough to work out a solution.

Is this the type of agent and firm you want to work with?Nope.

    Sincerely,

    ParisAnastasios

We empathize with **************** and the issue being faced; however the issue at hand is out of our control. As previously mentioned to **************** when he initially made us aware of his dilemma, there is a huge misconception as to the role we play as a company as it specifically relates to his issue.

    1. We listed the subject property for rent and we represented the landlord on the transaction as the listing agent. **************** was the tenant on the transaction and had his own representation from another unrelated *********** Brokerage of his choice.
    2. The lease agreement was reviewed by **************** representative and was agreed to, and signed by all parties. The said lease agreement clearly states that pets are prohibited. We are unaware of any alleged instance where our company or landlord knew of any pets prior to the lease commencement.
    3. We are also unaware of what **************** is referring to as breaking legal protocol by hiding serious health concerns. When **************** initially reached out to us, he was upset about the landlord opting to terminate his lease based on a breach of the no pet policy. We addressed his initial concerns and did advise him that the situation was a landlord and tenant matter and he should reach out to his initial representative or seek legal counsel if he believes there has been any wrong doing.
    4. As to **************** claim of us being unprofessional and/or baiting and switching, we remain firm on our position that there was no wrongdoing on our part. Unfortunately, we have no control over the outcome as this is a landlord and tenant dispute. Again, we do encourage **************** to seek legal advice so he is fully aware of his rights and remedies in this circumstance.
