In May 2023 we booked a condo rental from Best Beach Getaways “BBG” via VRBO website. They processed a $454 deposit May 2023. Jan 5 2024 we were notified by voicemail by “Mike” of BBG the property owner has decided to remove the listing and our reservation has cancelled. In his vmail he requested my address to return deposit via check. I replied via phone and left vmail with my mailing address for check (we paid online by credit card but they decided to return deposit via check). I received no confirmation and on Jan 10 sent a text message. No response again. Jan 17, Jan 21 I attempted again to call Mike and left two vmails requesting confirmation and refund status. No response. Today I contacted VRBO as their website shows payment was refunded to my credit card company and that is not correct. VRBO said I need to contact the property manager. I contacted Mike again by phone and received vmail. I left a message. I also contacted “Tiffany” at extension 111 per Mike’s vmail in his absence. As i explained to Tiffany she cut me off and said “Well Mike is out today and you can call him tomorrow”. I further explained it has been a month I’ve been chasing this and I’ve had zero replies. Therefore I ask she relay my concern to Mike in addition to my vmails and texts. If I didn’t hear back I’d…. Then she hung up on me. I called the main phone number and asked for the owner. I was transferred to the owner. As I began relaying my concerns and frustrations to him he said he’s in his car and would call me back shortly. This company keeps delaying me and pushing me off and avoiding returning my refund.
