      I went to receive a carwash from Curlew Car Wash located at 2545 Curlew Road, ***********, ******* on Sunday, March 10, 2024. The time stamped on the receipt was 15:05:12, but It was actually 16:05:12. Sunday was daylight savings time switch over. I had waited in line for 20 minutes for my turn. The truck in front of me was getting a wash. I put in my info. and credit card and was waiting. All of a sudden the lights on the signs went out. The kiosk said "wash not currently available". The man in the truck finally drove out. I feel the wash stopped in the middle of his wash. Then the kiosk said it's normal text, but there were no lights on the sign. I drove in anyway. I sat, but no wash started. The phone number on the receipt keeps saying "failed call". I found another phone number online, but it just rings and rings. I have no idea who to contact, but they have my $18 and I have no clean car.

      I used to use this car wash often before they changed the equipment and it always did a good job. Went back today, 9/22/22, wouldn't accept my credit cards 3X, had to pay cash. The "wash" did absolutely nothing. My car looked exactly the same as before. When I got home I saw that the cover to my antenna had been ripped off. I went back to find it and the manager happened to be there. I showed him my car and he told me it never would have cleaned it, the dirt was oxidized on and would need to be waxed off. It didn't even clean the windshield. I asked for my $15 back and he refused. He was really rude. He had the antenna, i grabbed it from him and when I got home I washed my car myself and the dirt came off with no effort. Aside from my $15 I'm asking for the money it will cost me to repair my antenna. I just got the estimate from the KIA ********** at $761.21, not including the cost of transportation and inconvenience of having to wait 3 hours for the work to be done. Photos show my car AFTER the wash. You can see a small section of the hood that I washed myself.

      **************** did come to see me last week regarding her car wash. She had purchased our Ultimate Car Wash. The car wash washed and came out clean. She did have many oxidation marks on her hood. I showed her how these would not come off in a car wash. I rubbed them with my finger and could not remove any of the oxidation marks, my finger however was not dirty as I showed her because the car was clean. A car wash will not detail a car and remove oxidation. This would require a complete detail to remove. I suggested she have her car detailed and then I offer her a free Ultimate Plus car wash code. She did not want our free car wash. She also  complained about the wiper tracks on her windshield and I pointed out that our car wash could not remove these either on a vehicle that was so badly oxidase. She also asked if I could find and return her antenna shield, I found it in our lost and find and returned it to her. I explained that we cannot control lose items on any vehicle. This is explained on a sign before you enter our car wash. She grabbed the shield got into her car and sped off at a high rate of speed. She was right, we had no credit card capability and had a sign up telling customers to use only cash. We were waiting on ******** Communications to come and replace our router so we could again use credit card sales. I am very sorry **************** was so irate and angry. I would still be willing to give her a code for an Ultimate Plus car wash. I do suggest she gets her car detailed soon, the oxidation will eventually ruin her paint if left untreated. It appeared her car had not been washed or cleaned in quite a long time.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Dirt does not "oxidize" on a car. He rubbed the hood of my car with a dry finger to "prove" that the car wash would not have cleaned it. As my photos show, I was able to come home and wash my car myself and the dirt came right off with no special treatment. I have never been through a car wash that did absolutely nothing to the dirt on my vehicle. I have also never been through a car wash that ripped my antenna off. As I previously mentioned, I used this same car wash facility for years before the new equipment was installed with no complaints and no issues. As you can see in my enlarged photo of the car wash (attached, which happens to include the owner), the sign says it is not responsible for "telescopic antennas" and "*********** Installed Items". My car, a 2017 KIA ******** does not have a telescopic antenna, as you can see in my previous photo, and it was most definitely factory installed as it came with the vehicle. Probably close to 100% of newer SUVs have that type of antenna, they are not removable, and it should not prevent an owner from using a car wash. It was not loose, and should not have been affected by a "Touch-Free" carwash. The owner admitted he had my antenna and gave it back to me, so obviously it came off at his facility. He seems to be more concerned with my attitude than with the issue at hand, and takes no responsibility. Why would I possibly accept his offer of another free "wash" and risk any more damage to my car given my experience? I stand by my initial request to be reimbursed for the cost of the $15 car wash as well as the $761 to repair my antenna, in addition to the cost and inconvenience of travel and time spent to have it repaired by the KIA ********** in *********************. If I had not gone through the Curlew Car Wash, it would still be on my car.

      I want and had my truck washed 2016 ram 1500 there's a big sign saying equipment coming. I've been using this drive through wash for years. I paid by c.c to prove time stamps and pulled into wash n got red light to stop like normal. The long arms circled the truck and covered truck with soap and on 2nd turn it angled and started smacking and bouncing off the body of my truck at this time I was forced to wait for rinse because I couldn't see out of my windows or windshield it circled and banged and bounced ,scuffed my truck severely. I got the first rinse and pulled truck out still covered in 30% soap. I wiped truck down by hand at the Publix next store in. Y dress cloths. I had truck cleaned by hand next day and saw multiple scratches few ding multiple scuffs along quarters, mirrors. The extent of damage is $5000 for body and paint on my truck I want my truck fixed immediately due malfunctioning equipment, or I will sue immediately in civil with my attorney and I will go after the max. This is a $40,000 truck used not it looks like **** I'm super ***** This is base coat clear custom color changing metallic paint factory color. I want my truck entire truck n all body damaged fixed immediately you have my contact info. Your business line is a land line that just rings n rings your not gonna use the landline disconnect it. Horrible customer service and no way to contact owner very very ****** service. I will never be back to your carwash again!!

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/23) */ Mr.****** did wash his vehicle on 01/18/2022 at my car wash. What he did not know is that my wife and I were in the vehicle right behind him. He entered in at a very sever angle (30-35 Degrees) to the stacking line. Its customary to enter the lane in a reasonably straight line to follow the machine's path. He came into the wash bay at this sever angle and this is what caused the machine to hit his vehicle. I have contacted my insurance carrier, Nationwide to investigate liability on my behalf. They will be contacting Mr.******. We very much appreciate your past business and hope you will come to us. My business phone number is on every receipt that comes out of the entry system when you purchase your wash. It's 727-351-1970. You did not take your receipt when you purchased your wash, it was still in the entry system when you left. Thank you, John K. O.

      On 6/26/21 I took my car into the Wash On Curlew, Inc. DBA A Plus Car Wash & Lube on XXXXX X ************ *** in ****** ** to get my oil changed and car detailed. When i got my car back i noticed a huge 14-16" long gash in the side of my quarter panel, so I called the owner over to discuss the problem and he told me they didn't do it and walked away. So I calmly asked him to come back and examine it closer and he said stop trying to blame it on them I clearly damaged my car on my own and are trying to blame it on them. Complete falsehood and no-way shape or form how you conduct business. No I have to file civil suit against them for repair of the damages.
