Hi i signed up with company last year to have solar system installed at my house , the Sales person ***************************** came to my home went over the program how it works , how much it will , cost etc i said yes next step they applied for the permits and began installation about 6 months after **** ***** was in charge of the project once everything was installed i was advised all is installed up and running and you should have any issue .. i was told by ****** my bill with Fpl will go away all i have to pay them is about 20 dollars a month for the new meter and i was also told i would receive a tax credit from the *** for ****** dollars .. false information was given to me on how much i will be paying Fpl and my tax credit .. since the system was installed i am still paying Fpl over ****** a month and my tax credit came out to less than ******* .. this project is financed through the state and with my tax for 30 years - since this company got the money for this project they have all disappeared i have been trying to get in contact with ****** and **** i have left voice mails , text messages , email no one has responded back to me in over 10 months .. this was a SCAM its costing be double for my electric now compare to what i was paying before and i cant financially afford it .. it has been very stressful ever since this was installed .. i am leaving alot of the details out because i will run out of room .. My first payment of $ ******* in coming up in November they will pull out of my escrow and it will leave me negative .. i dont want this system they can remove it and have it back .. as this present time i am not sure even the system is working i have no one to call and speak to .. i really need your help this system installed was $ ****** and with it being financed it will be over ******. i usually dont fall for these companies selling their good but i believed it would be a good investment for my home but not the price i am paying for the fpl bill and the solar systBusiness Response

Thank you for taking the time to meet with us at your home and resolve the issues you were facing.
After installing your system in the summer of 2023 your system was up and running and producing the power you expected upon hiring us to install your system. Unfortunately, in February of 2024, you switched internet providers which disrupted the micro inverter system. All of our customers are provided with monitoring so they can alert us in real time if/when a issue arises. Once I was made aware of the issue in late September I immediately reached out to you to set up a time for me to visit with you, re-connect your system, and make sure you had access to the monitoring so this type of issue can be prevented again in the future.
We see, by looking at your FPL bills, that the system was still producing power, but with the monitoring system that collects its data from the micro inverters being down due to the internet being changed we cannot see the production between February 2024 through 10/15/24 when we got the system re-connected to your new internet provider.
As of yesterday 10/15 I see the system is back on-line and have spoken to you over the phone confirming that you are aware of the systems monitoring being live.

The company installed a solar electric system in my home. Afterward, it was noticed that 2 areas were leaking during rain. I spoke to them once, and there was no response. I called multiple times afterward, and now they hang up when I call, and I am unable to leave a message. All I am asking for is that they honor the warranty work for no leaks and repair the two areas to stop the leaks.Initial Complaint

My husband entered into a contract with Planet Solar Solutions (PSS) back in April 2023 for the roof installation of solar panels. The contract was signed by ************************* from PSS. Apparently, PSS subcontracted with another company in August 2023 to work on and complete the project. They (PSS) were paid in full and the work was completed by the subcontractor. However, now the subcontractor has served us with a Claim of Lien on our house due to the contractors (PSS) failure to pay them the remaining balance. My husband has called Planet Solar Solutions several times and was told that the lien notice must be a mistake and that they would take care of the issue. With nothing resolved and the lien still active in February 2024, Planet Solar Solutions has now stopped taking my husbands phone calls. He cannot seem to get anyone from this company on the phone to answer our questions. This type of behavior shows a lack of business ethics on Planet Solar Solutions part and we strongly urge other consumers to NOT use their services.Initial Complaint

Solar edge invertor stopped working in may2023. System has been running for a year only. I realized it was down end of july and called them in august. After numerous attempts i finally got to speak with someone and they said they would look into it. It is still in warranty. After many more calls and them saying i was next on the list in september they still not have even looked at it. Now all they say is the engineer will call me with an update, but no one does. I am losing around $300 a month.Business Response

Dear BBB,
Thank you for bringing this clients concerns to our attention. After investigating the issue, we found that one of this clients inverters has 12 panels producing no power and the other has no panels producing power. We have seen this happen with SolarEdge inverters in the past and it can be resolved with a site visit to perform electrical work.
However, this specific situation does not fall under any warranty and the client is responsible for covering the cost of the labor for the visit as well as any unwarranted parts that might need to be replaced while performing the service. This has been communicated to the client with no correspondence back from them.
We have since followed up with ****************** and would like to help. An estimate can be sent ahead of the site visit. A payment option must be on file prior to guarantee cost of service.

I am rejecting this response because: They have not contacted me at all. I have not seen them at the house to even look at it and i have security cameras. If the panels are at fault they have a 25 year warranty. If they say it is something not covered i would like it in writing with estimate. This system has only been running since Feb 2022. It took them 3years to complete and they even destroyed the meter box during that time. I had to file a complaint with the bbb to get them to complete it. (Complaint ID#: ********* I feel it is very unprofessional they could not answer my calls months ago.

Buyer Beware!! Planet Solar Solutions will sell you a complete Solar solution (will work for less than 6 months), give you an awesome warranty (complete BS), tell you that any issues they will be handled promply (complete BS, will never happen) and that their customer service is above and beyond (if there were customer service).DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!! BBB Rating is an "F" for a reason and we learned the hard way. System barely worked for 5 months and has been down for over a year now. We have called countless times to be told that they are shorthanded but someone would be out (NO ONE SHOWS EVER). *** and ****** is customer service are a complete joke and dont care (EXCUSES AFTER EXCUSES, IF THEY ANSWER).*** spent $54k for something to be installed on her house which doesnt work. My husband and myself purchased the system in April 2021. We had to give them half the amount of cost up front. In July 2021 they started installing the panels, halfway through we get a call from our sales rep that he would be by the next day to get the rest of the money. I said No I'm not paying the balance until the job is done and up and running. He said he was told they were done, and I said they have only installed half of them and haven't been back for a week. He called us back and said he would send the installers back next week, he's sorry he thought they were done because they sent them on another job. they finished installing them the power company came out and put the new meter in, in July 2021. we waited a week to call them and said the panels are not working, we called for three months with no response, finally the head of that department called to find out what the problem was after I threatened to call BBB. It was a *****************************, He said nothing is wrong they are working, and we said they were not, the breakers keep popping off. and he said he was insulted that I had no faith in his product, I said someone needs to come out to fix the problem. a week later he himself came out and saw that all the breakers were burned up and had to replace all the breaks and sum wiring, which he never apologized for his system was installed wrong. Finally, sept 2021 we got the system up and working. On April 2022 one of the panels went dark and it says not responding , we called the office to let them know , for nine month no call back or any ******* to fix the panel, so I called again and threated, to call BBB and **** called and said he ordered the part and is having it sent to my house when it gets here to call and he would come himself and fix the problem. It arrived January 17, 2023. I called and emailed him to let him know it was here, we have not received a call back or anyone to come fix the panel. Now for the past three weeks (today is May 15) thirteen of our panels don't work and it is popping the breaker off again every day. we have called every day and after I threated again to call BBB I got a call back from a *** and he said I would need to pay a 200.00-dollar service call for someone to come out. I said I was not paying them that the panels are under warranty they need to come fix the problems. So, they have left me no choice but to report them to you. please help us resolve this problem, we are sorry it had to be done this way, we tried to be patient and do this nicely. but it seems this company doesn't honor their warranty. thank you ****** and ***************************Initial Complaint

I have hired Planet Solar Solutions to install my Solar panels. They did and they come with 20 year warranty. However, there is an issue with the panels and they have not worked for the past 5 months. I have contacted Planet Solar Solutions over 20 times and they keep saying they don't have workers to service the panels and are hiring them. For 5 months I am paying the payment for solar panels and also electricity, so double paying. 5 months and apparently they haven't been able to hire a single service person who can come and fix the solar panels. I don't care that they have worker problems, I paid for the solar panels with 20 years of warranty. If they cannot provide the warranty part they should refund the cost.Initial Complaint

Planet Solar Solutions is the company that installed and services my solar panel system. My system is under warranty as per our original contract signed when the system was installed in my home. In mid-Decemeber of 2022, I noticed one of my solar panels was not producing electricity. I contacted Planet Solar Solutions to report the malfunctioning part and a desire to have a technician come out to my home to troubleshoot the problem. I was originally informed that this would be no issue and that the company could come out to my house to see what the issue was with the defective panel. However, I have yet to receive a call back from the company with any guidance on when I can expect someone to come out to the house to fix my concern. I have contacted the company multiple times and I am repeatedly told that I am on a list to be serviced. Furthermore, I have requested multiple callbacks or email correspondence to be updated on the status of my service request which I have received neither. I kindly request assistance in resolving this issue as I am simply asking for the company to service a part that is under warranty.
