1 starMy AC Blower went out after 7 years. Carrier would not cover it under warranty and they design to have you repair there systems. Choose a different brand with higher quality. My system was installed in 2016.Carrier Corporation

Dear *************************,
On behalf of Carrier, I am very sorry to learn of the problems you have experienced with your equipment.
I have checked our customer service records and do not show any prior communication from you, nor a matching product registration under your name. The standard warranty Carrier provides is a 5-year parts only warranty from the date of installation. In 2009, as an incentive to encourage our customers to register their equipment, we offered should you purchase equipment using Puron (R410a) refrigerant, have the equipment installed in an owner-occupied residential dwelling and register the eligible equipment within 90 days from the date the equipment was installed we would provide an additional five-year warranty enhancement. The warranty enhancement would be provided to only the original owner of the equipment and any subsequent owner(s) would receive the original five-year parts warranty coverage.
We appreciate you reaching out to share your experience, should you have additional concerns or feedback you would like to share with our team. Please contact our customer relations at ************** and have your equipment serial number available.
Thank you,
*******************

1 star*********************** Hello I'm a home owner since **** & the house was build in ****. The house had 2 A/********* Units Carrier a 4 tons & a 2 tons. In 9/24/18 I desired to replace both A/********* Units with the same brand Carrier since the units did not give me any major problems for 18 years & the experience I have were excellent. I got the same 4 tons & a 2.5 tons. On 4/8/20 I had a major problem with the 4 tons unit, the condenser coil leaking & fail. On 2021 I had another problem with the same central unit again, this time the capacitor went bad. On 11/4/2 again it was not cooling. I had a company & a dealer company from Carrier come to check the unit both company diagnostic the unit wrongfully & without any confidence. I decided to called IRSRESCUE ROOTER to come & check the unit. After the diagnostic the technician told me "You have a leak in the system & the leak it is at the evaporator coil. The cost for the labor repair it will be $2827. The evaporator coil it is on the warranty we will deal with Carrier Corporation to get paid for the part. the A/********* unit was working in the following date after the job was done. I got in touch with Carrier trying to reason with them about this central unit. it seems like it is a second hand unit or a defected unit since I have so many problems in four years. I have more that enough mayor problems with this unit than I never have with the old units for 18 years. Carrier answer was the manufacturer warranty does not include diagnostic fees, labor, refrigerant, maintenance, etc My complaint it is about the poor performance of this CARRIED A/********* unit 4 tons. Model CA16NA048-B Serial **********. I paid good money for a good brand units. I still paying for these A/C system. I did not buy this unit at a discount or promotion neither did I won the unit in a lottery. It is not my fault that this unit it is not working as it suppose to work without any major problem.Review fromMarjorie P

1 starI failed to ask for drivers license and registration from ************************************* after it backed into me, knocking me off my bike and flat on my back in the road in front of ************************************************************** on Monday October 17, 2022 at 11:30 am. I have had no luck getting any information from carrier.com. It has been almost 2 weeks of enforced rest - I have been unable to take my usual pilates, dance and yoga classes at the ******** and cannot fullfill my normal volunteer ushering assignments at ** symphony and Zellerbach Hall and could not make it to ******** where I am a volunteer gardener ! Went to urgent care on day of accident - and again 10 days later for x Rays. No broken bones, nothing is dislocated. The driver gave me a phony name and phone number. I am enraged that someone who is driving a van professionally would LIE. Carrier shifted the blame to local UNNAMED companies - saying they (carrier) subcontact to local companies who run their vans. This sounds like b.s. to me. I emailed the chief legal counsel at Carrier and posted on carriers FB page. Both these avenues have now blocked me! ANY Information about carrier.com - especially about their van * ***** will be much appreciated. I am furious that after knocking down an elderly woman into the street with their vehicle, that driver deliberately avoided taking responsibility for his actions. Who knows what other misdeeds and accidents he may have caused and then shucked his responsibility. I have filed a police report and will file a small claims.Carrier Corporation

1 starMy system was installed 7 years ago and since that time, the iphone app to control the thermostat has never worked properly. Judging by the reviews on the App Store, there are many people with similar problems. I have tried to contact Carrier about this and have gotten no response. The iphone app does not match what the wall unit says. The wall unit will say Heating Mode, and the app with say Off. They really need to fix this. The weather information is both incorrect, and it does not match the wall unit weather information. The wall unit itself in one place will say Heating Mode, in another Off. Unbelievably bad.Carrier Corporation

1 starIn October of 2020 I had a mini split put in an addition. After 1.5 years it broke, tech. came out and service call was $100 and replaced a part, it broke again, tech. came out $100 and board had to be replaced. Yet again, it crashed and tech. said Carrier said the compresser is bad and fan wont spin. Its under warranty but installer said to replace compresser it is detailed and intricate and the unit seems to be faulty overall and a "lemon". They have been trying to get whole outside unit replaced because labor is not covered and it will cost another $1200 in labor but if unit is replaced it will be less in labor. He said it may crash again after the new compresser is installed because so far everything they fixed another part breaks. Its the least Carrier could do for supplying a faulty unit which should last 12 years but 1.5 years later dumping money into it and its not ****** used (2 times a month). I havent had air in that room since June and its terrible what they are doing. I have reached out to customer service 10 times and no one gets back to me. When I call Im on hold forever and was hung up on aka "disconnected". Model No. 38MAQB12R-3 Serial No. **********Review fromQuazavia G

1 starModel number 258CE4428003. I have had issues since the unit was installed now it's about 3 years old I replace the high and low pressure switches the defrost board twice another high pressure switch compassetor another High pressure switch and high and low voltage wires. Reached out to Carrier they were no assistance calling the number on the website send you in so circles I finally found a number from the local office where I was able to actually reach carrier all they do is do a complaint ticket and never really assist you with anything not willing to help additional $3000 in labor on top of the original $8000 that I paid for in-and-out Carrier does not care not willing to help And at this point after 3 different companies coming out basically I'm forced to do a new install this week on a unit that's only 3 years old and always been broke Also just as a FYI authorized dealers for Carrier pay to be on their authorized dealer list they're authorized dealer list doesn't really give them any special understanding or any additional knowledge on being able to work with Carrier or any advantage of helping you work with Carrier just keep that in mind authorized dealer means nothingReview fromjohn s

1 starWe added a new addition to our home in Summer of 2020. I had a recommended Carrier Mini Split HVAC system installed by a local Carrier Installer and Distributor. The unit has two zones located in very rarely used part of the home. One of the head units failed before two years with less than 20hrs of operation. The warranty covers the defective part only and for the installer servicer to replace the part labor is more than an entire new unit negating the warranty. I spoke to Carrier **************** with no assistance from them. I ended up having to replace the whole unit with a new one as well as understanding the system we had has already been discontinued and the replacement is a different model. Carriers Warranty and customer service is useless if they make an item that a replaceable part is more to repair then an entire new unit installation. I would highly recommend not purchasing or recommending their products to anyone if this is how they stand behind their equipment that is very costly.Review fromEduard F

1 starI wish there was a zero star option available for my review, but clicked the one star because this is the only way to post it.With over 50 years experience in the technical and customer service fields, I am perplexed how this company is still in business after si many complaints, even from their own dealers. In the past three years I experienced several problems with the two Infinity units servicing my house, and every single time has been a huge straggle to fix them, one time because the parts sent to the service people were not correct for the serial number of the unit, the the part was right but the tray was missing from the box. Other time the Carrier technical support did not call back their dealer service guy for more than two hours, and when calling could not help with a simple problem which other technician fixed second day. But by far the worse experience was few days ago when I called the executive office at Carrier and complained that three of their dealers in my area could not fix the second unit in my house for four days, and I need desperate help from Carrier to save my house from being ruined by humidity (I live in FL). After few hours being transfered from one insensitive attendant to another, their final conclusion was that I "must replace the 2008 system because is too old" I asked them to connect me to their best dealer in FL instead, because I want to fix my old systems, but denied it saying that I already had the best Carrier service provided by *******************, their best dealer in **. I decided to use my electro-mechanical background and at 68, struggling a bit physically I found the problem and my AC system is back working beautiful now. The problem was a broken pin into a socket on the control board. And Carrier wanted to replace my whole system!!! I will keep this system as long as I can, servicing it myself, but never buy Carrier. Please do the same!Carrier Corporation
