On 3/21/2023, Derek Alford's Tree service was hired to fully remove (3) oak trees in front yard, trim palm tree by driveway and remove cherry laurel saplings by fence. The company made a mistake and tried to cut down the 20' queen palm tree they were hired to trim leaving a 14'' cut that was 3" deep. When I spoke with Frazier on 3/28/23 @ the company, they admitted that Derek (Owner) misread the invoice. Frazier offered to come back and remove the palm tree for liability purposes. He would not address a tree replacement. On 3/31/23, I called Frazier back because no one had come to house to take care of the tree. He told me that Derek would be calling me. On 4/2/2023, I had to reach out to the Derek to see when they would be removing the palm tree. He said that he would be coming 4/4/23 to remove the palm tree but refused to take care of the stump. I told Derek that I shouldn't have to pay to fix his mistake. He said that he would take care of the tree 4/4/23 but the stump would have to be the following week. Tree was removed 4/4/23 but never came back to do the stump. I reached out to see when he would be coming and how did he want to handle a replacement. Derek changed his mind and wasn't going to take of the stump and stated he didn't owe me anything. I had another company take of the stump and I also got a quote for a Queen palm tree replacement with installation. I tried twice to send a certified letter to Derek with a copy of the invoices. Both returned saying undeliverable. Derek Alford claims to be fully licensed and insured. I went to Volusia County building to see if I could obtain additional information about his license/address and didn't have any luck. I paid the company in full $2k via check
