I contacted Orlando WebPro for service as a Web designer. ** was the one assigned to do the work. After some negotiation, I told him that I was not sure if I want to pursue. He convinced me and even lowered the price from $890 to $200. He then told me to give a deposit of $50.00 by ***** in advance. That was last Friday. He also told me that he would call me on Tuesday, which is today so I can give him access to the website. After much reflection, I realized that the website may not be a good idea at this time. I canceled my subscription with the company called ***. I then asked him to give me a refund since I dont have the website anymore. He refuses to give me my refund and claimed that he alreaddid work on the website. That is such a lie because he never got access to my website. I just want him to give me my refund. That is an act of being a *****. Thank you!

    Dear BBB,

Thank you for the opportunity to address the complaint from our client regarding the services provided by Orlando Web Pros. We take all customer feedback seriously and strive to maintain a high standard of service.

    Summary of Services and Payments

The client engaged Orlando Web Pros to rebuild their website and optimize their ****** business listings. The total amount paid by the client was $1,140, not $1,500 as stated in the complaint. This payment was divided as follows:

    $600 for website development
$540 for ****** business optimization services from February to May
    Website Development

We completed the website according to the clients requirements, as documented in the project specification sheet. A screenshot of this sheet can be provided upon request. The website was made live for the client to review progress, and the issues highlighted in the screenshots shared by the client were from the under-construction phase. We are prepared to make the website live again or provide the necessary files and screenshots to demonstrate that all specified requirements were met.

    ****** Business Optimization

Our team successfully optimized the clients ****** business listing, resulting in a noticeable increase in calls and directions from February to March. This improvement can be verified through a screen recording of the listing's performance during that period, which we requested from the client. Unfortunately, the clients listing became unverified due to a re-verification request from ******, which is beyond our control and can happen to any business at any time.

    Client's Behavior and Allegations

Throughout our engagement, we maintained a professional demeanor. However, the client exhibited inappropriate behavior, including unfounded accusations of dishonesty. Despite this, we continued to offer support and requested evidence of any issues the client experienced.

    Our Commitment and Reputation

Orlando Web Pros is committed to client satisfaction.

    Resolution Offer

We are willing to cooperate fully with BBB and provide any additional information required, including screenshots of completed tasks and records of communication. We also offered the client a refund for the month we didnt optimised the business contingent on verifying the performance metrics during the service period, which the client has yet to provide.

We respect our clients and value our reputation. We hope this response clarifies the situation and demonstrates our commitment to resolving this matter amicably.

    Sincerely,

They are not a legit business. They are just scammers that are taking advantage of people in this area and theyve been doing it for a while without anybody noticing, now the problem is that they stole money and time from me and Im pretty sure Im not the only one thats gone through this problem. We need immediate resolution because it is not about the money. It is about the time and the effort spent to try and get a resolution for what was initially contracted for and theyve been giving me the runaround for weeks if not months, they want to say that I had agreed to the parameters that they had made for the website in question and played it off as if I had agreed to what they had made when in reality thats not what happened. We actually had a conversation over video chat where I exclusively told him that I was not happy and I told him that he needs to fix it. Otherwise I need a refund. What did he do? He did whatever the h*** he wanted to do however he wanted to do it and then on top of it all, I dont get my money back and I dont get the website that I hired him for two months later , this needs to end now.

This is not a business or company. It is a scam in Orlando and a ************************** is the culprit.

Do a simple ****** search on them

    Orlando Web Pros

Look at the reviews and then get back to me. They will not respond to you or anyone for that matter. This is an illegal business running a scam poised as a website developer.

    Business Response

    Date: 05/06/2024

I am writing to address the complaint filed against Orlando Web Pros. Please find a detailed account of our interactions with ***********************, which underscores our commitment to client satisfaction and the legitimacy of our operations.

    Initial Agreement and Contract Adjustments
On January 23, 2024, ****************** contacted our representative, *******************, requesting the development of a WordPress website. An initial agreement was made for $600, with a $300 advance payment confirmed by an email agreement, detailing the scope and terms of the project.

Subsequently, on January 25, ****************** requested an expansion of the project to a Shopify platform. Acknowledging the additional costs associated with Shopify, we mutually agreed to adjust the project scope and budget. The revised agreement, documented via email, increased the total project cost to $1,100. ****************** confirmed his agreement to the new terms via email, which included an enhanced scope of services and a revised payment schedule.

    Project Execution and Communication
Throughout the project, we maintained regular communication with ******************, documenting all interactions and approvals through WhatsApp. Proof of these interactions, which show consistent satisfaction from ******************, is available and can be presented if required.

Despite an agreed deadline of February 25, 2024, ****************** demanded early completion on February 22, 2024. Our team worked diligently, adjusting to his requests and successfully implementing the changes within the stipulated time. The project was delivered, and setup for PayPal integration with Shopify was completed, which ****************** acknowledged as satisfactory.
Issue of Outstanding Payment and Subsequent Communication
After project delivery, ****************** unexpectedly ceased communications and withheld the final payment of $150. Following attempts to resolve the payment issue amicably, we received an unprofessional response via email, and later, a demand for a refund without justification.

    Conclusion and Offer for Mediation
We are a legitimate business with a history of satisfied clients, and we take complaints seriously. We are prepared to provide further evidence and discuss this matter through mediation to reach an amicable resolution. Our intent remains to ensure client satisfaction and uphold the integrity of our services.

We respect the process facilitated by the Better Business Bureau and are committed to resolving this misunderstanding promptly.

I truly apologize for not seeing the first message. It strikes me a little odd that you gave the business two attempts to respond and I only got one attempt, nor did I receive any other messages through email, text or phone number and it's very concerning that you're siding with the business that has fake ****** reviews and has the same business listed under 3 different addresses on ******. Yet they all share the same number to the same two scammers. Basically they are turning around the story and making it seem like I'm the one that messed them up when in reality all the stuff that they mentioned during that message is basically incorrect none of it is correct at all, from any standpoint, it's just twisting the story to make it seem like I'm the one that messed him up but you know what none of this is worth my time and it's clearly not worth any of your time either because all ot takes is an AI generated message to convince the BBB that a business is operating legitimately under the law when there wasn't even a formal contract signed during this whole interaction. The due date was 8 days from start time not the 25th. The 25th was my launch day and yet somehow these morons thought that was the time frame of delivery. I'm not going to waste my time with an agency that has no legal power to do anything about scammers that can speak eloquently over text and sound like idiots over the phone. Have a good day. Thank you for doing nothing for this community and allowing scammers to have their way. Good day.
