We made reservations at the Sheraton ************ on Sept 3, 2023. It was arranged through our Marriott reservation desk. They placed us at the Sheraton ******************* .When arrived, we were asked to attend a presentation. We were introduced to *******, who "specialized in working with Marriott owners of higher levels of ownership." He presenting us with the visuals of Marriott ownership. Then, he suggested that we could change from our level of Presidential owner to Chairman to achieve new benefits. We expressed we were not interested. ******* then offered a statement that really hooked us. He said.How would you like to never have to pay dues ever again? This really caught my attention. ******* then explained that ******** was taking money from us every year and we now had an option to pay up-front and eliminate the annual dues forever! He said we are so fortunate to have this opportunity though ********. Documents were presented. I was concern that this looked a lot like other past contacts in the sense that this is a mortgage. ******* returned and said this was just a formality." I questioned why the documents were Sheraton. He said that ******** just had not yet supplied the updated papers. He stressed that Sheraton was owned by ******** and these documents were temporary while they were waiting for new documents. I charged $8000.00 up front and the balance came to about $53,000.00. My understanding as I signed was this would eliminate any and all future Marriott dues. A couple weeks later, we were shocked to find that we were not signed up with ********, as discussed. The "temporary docs" were only for Sheraton, The documents that ******* provided while discussing only Marriott, were Sheraton Flex.Both of us felt that we were deceived. I followed up contacting ***************** at Marriott. After 2 months, he offered only a deed in lieu. It's unsatisfactory. I feel deceived as there was no dues relief and not *********************
