We regret buying into a timeshare with Legacy Vacation Club. When we originally purchased, we were told we were getting a prime deeded week in *****************, ********, during Christmas and New Years. Later, we were convinced to switch to a points package because we were told theyd be more flexible. What they didnt tell us was that we were giving up our guaranteed prime week. We didnt even realize this had happened until four years ago. By then, it was too late to reverse it. The resort blamed ***, and *** had no idea what we were talking about. Meanwhile, we were left with nothing close to what we thought we were paying for.Weve paid so much over the years. The maintenance fees have doubled in just the last two years, and now we cant even use the timeshare because we cant keep up with the constant increases on top of everything else weve already paid. On top of that, were being harassed by a collections department saying we owe $6,044.27. After everything weve already paid, this is outrageous. Were sure theyre going to ruin our credit, even though the only reason were in this position is because we didnt get what was promised. We rarely took family vacations because of how much this timeshare has cost us. When we were ready to use it, nothing was available. This was supposed to be an investment in making memories and spending time together, but instead, its been years of broken promises and constant payments. Now, we feel stuck with something we cant even use, and we wouldnt trust a thing they say after all the lies we were told.

My husband and I received a letter from Legacy Vacation Resorts, Reno Spa Resort ****************** billing us for $14,498.45 for a special assessment because a growing number of members have failed to pay their annual assessments. My husband and I have paid every assessment including the 2025 annual fee with the due date of 01/01/25.and can not afford this.special assessment. This letter states for us to remit payment by May ******* to retain our ownership or convert to their points-based vacation club program or DEED BACK our Time Share Week to the Association. We purchased this time share more than 30 years ago and WE WANT TO KEEP IT. The amount of this assessment is outrageous and we can not afford it. Also, we have not received any thing in writing explaining their points-based vacation club program. Thank you, in advance, for any help that you can give.

We bought an interval week timeshare with Ramada now Legacy Vacation Resorts in 2001. Our account has been paid off for many years and our annual fee is current. We received a letter stating that the ****************** (Reno Spa Resort ******************) because of other owners not paying fees had assessed a "special assessment of $14, ******" in order to keep our resort ownership. We could alternatively convert to a point system or surrender our deed. When I emailed about this being unfair I received an email saying that to surrender our deed we have to pay $1500. Please advise. We have an address listed for this as Kissimee Florida but also remit payment page has address of **********.

This timeshare company has garnered some of the most negative reviews I have encountered. The photographs available online are unimpressive, and my parents have invested 15 years of their lives and annual maintenance fees into this timeshare. Despite their consistent payment history, they recently received a letter informing them that numerous members have defaulted on their yearly dues. The company is now facing a staggering $70 million in debt and want my parents to pay $14,000 in special assessment fees. Members have the option to pay the dues or face collection action. Alternatively, they can transfer their points or transfer the timeshare for $500.00, which my parents would be responsible for along with a notary fee. However, this transaction would result in parents no longer owning the property, and they would no longer be responsible for the annual fees, but since the year is cut short they should be refunding my parents My parents, who are elderly, were never informed about the financial difficulties of the property. As owners, they certainly should have been made aware of these matters. Despite the pressure they are under, they felt compelled to pay the quick deed fee to avoid further complications. But we are outraged that this company has no consequences for their lack of transparency, or their mismanagement of the property resulting in bad debt.

My daughter and her boyfriend went to stay at the legacy resort in *************** and after checking in they were giving a dirty room with bugs in the bed. They went to the front desk to complain about the room and told them they didnt feel comfortable in staying at their property and the hotel stated they need to call Priceline to receive their refund and once they did the hotel told Priceline they will not refund them their money back for the five day stay. I believe this place is fraudulent people and not keeping their resort in good standard. I want them to be investigated in what they are doing to people who travel out of state. My daughter has asthma she cant be in area with dirty and poor air quality. The hotel need to fully refund their money immediately

I feel it necessary to warn others of the unethical practices I have endured with my timeshare at Legacy. Several years ago, I was assured that my timeshare was sold and my name would be removed from my contracts. However, I have recently received a collection notice from Pinnacle Recovery for $30,716.17! How is that right? I was assured that I would no longer be held accountable for anything that has to do with this timeshare! And, after multiple attempts at communication with Legacy, I have received nothing in response, which is why I am turning here. What kind of business is this?

I called Legacy Vacation Club telling them I was going to pay my annual dues in March when I was paid my bonus. They said that that was ok. I paid them on March 14th and I received a letter from a collection action named pinnacle requesting the original balance plus an extra 350 fee.

Bluegreen sales team *** ********, ******* *********, ***** *******, and ******* ****** are ******! I cant believe I fell for their lies. Im beyond upset right now and I cant believe I was tricked like this. Ive been trying to get out from under bluegreen for a while now because scheduling a vacation is a nightmare. You have to plan so far in advance and I just cant do that. Plus, maintenance fees continue to increase every year. Currently, its $1,375, which is basically the cost of my entire vacation. They also lied about extra costs. For example, on my last trip, they told me that parking would cost $50 a night or $150 for three days. But they said if I did a site review, which would take about an hour, theyd credit the parking fees. So, I go to the desk at the end of my trip, ready to do the review, and they tell me it was canceled and Im on the hook for the full parking fees. When I asked about selling the timeshare, they promised they could help me, but guess what? They dont. Then, on top of everything else, I lost my job right after my mother-in-law passed away. I had to cover the funeral costs, and my father-in-law had a serious health scare that required two surgeries. All of this left me in $10,000 of debt, but I still had to pay the maintenance fees and other payments for the timeshare, which only put me deeper in the hole. I had finally heard from them about an exit plan, but when I reached out to follow up, they told me the offer was gone, and now their settlement department doesnt even exist anymore. So what am I supposed to do now? Reselling the timeshare isnt an option. This company is a mess, and I seriously regret ever signing up for it.

I am writing to formally request the termination of my timeshare ownership with Legacy Vacation Resorts due to ongoing challenges and extenuating personal **************** wife, *****, and I originally purchased a timeshare with Legacy Vacation Resorts (formerly Ramada Timeshares) in December 2001 during a promotional presentation in *****************, ********. In the earlier years, we enjoyed family vacations and utilized the *** exchange program to visit destinations like *********, *******, and ************However, over time, our ability to use and enjoy the timeshare has significantly declined due to serious health issues. I have been diagnosed with severe neuropathy, resulting in a significant loss of sensation in my legs and feet. Additionally, I have faced prostate cancer, pneumonia, and complications from major open-heart surgery. My wife has also endured severe medical challenges, including debilitating knee problems that required double knee replacement surgeries. These health conditions make travel impossible for us.Given these circumstances, I respectfully request that Legacy Vacation Resorts release us from our timeshare obligations. We can no longer utilize the property and cannot sustain the associated financial burden in light of our current health and limited mobility.I kindly urge Legacy Vacation Resorts to consider our situation and provide us with a compassionate resolution by terminating our agreement.Thank you for your time, understanding, and consideration.Sincerely,**** F. ***** Contract #****** Trust/Account # ***************
