I have been a Hyatt ************* owner for about 30 years, owning two Gold properties. I booked as usual through their website for the Aspen ***************, which is presented by Hyatt in the same way as its other properties. I was extremely disappointed to learn upon arrival that the resort charges an extra $40 resort fee per day, plus an extra $40 valet fee per day. Neither of these fees were disclosed on the Hyatt ************* website when I booked. I have stayed at Hyatt resorts for decades, and NEVER been charged extra fees other than the $41 Hyatt fee which is fully disclosed. It is wrong, and embarrassing, to arrive at a destination only to find that I am being gouged through extra fees that were not disclosed upon booking, nor listed on the website. Is this what Hyatt is going to start doing? They've now started selling *********** ***** and it seems now they are making their long time owners pay for something that is not supposed to be charged. I intend to look into our original purchase contracts, which I believe do not permit extra fees. This could be a good opportunity for a class action lawsuit by Hyatt Club owners, It's not the money, but I am tired of bait and switch scams.

Thank you for your feedback and for being a loyal Hyatt ************* owner for 30 years. We apologize for the unexpected fees you encountered at the Aspen ***************. Please note that these fees are agreed upon by the resort ****************** and not by Hyatt *************. This is not the experience we aim to provide, and we appreciate your understanding.

Filing a complaint with BBB today and will be taking legal action. Sold us Portfolio points two months ago, took our money and have yet to see our points. We've been HYATT owners for 20 years. Marriott buyout has been bad news for Hyatt owners.Member ******

We have stayed at Hyatt windward pointe in ******** every year since our purchase over 20 years ago. This past vacation from 6/11/24-6/15/24 was a nightmare. Our family of 6 all got head lice in room 5422. Took 3 phone calls to get manager to call me back. They basically dont care and insinuated we had the lice when we arrived. I pity the next guess in that room!

Thank you for your loyalty over the past 20 years. We're sorry to hear about your recent experience. While it's difficult to determine the source of head lice, we regret that our response fell short of your expectations. We will review this matter to improve our service.

Me and my wife and brother-in-law and our 15 year-old dog checked in at the Hyatt Regency at the Riverwalk in **************************. One of our favorite places to stay when we go to the Riverwalk we were approached by salesman named. *****************. He told us about a great deal at the ************** Hyatt resort it was $199 and we get $100 back if we sign now and is it dog friendly and he said yes of course. So we purchased it for our anniversary, almost a year later. We confirmed the appointment twice and even move the schedule date a day and ask again if it was dog friendly and they said yes. So we drove all the way from *******, ***********************************, which has the worst traffic Ive ever seen in my entire life. It was a scheduled 5 Hour Dr. that took a 6 1/2 hours . Of course we had to pay $100 for gas and then also all the tolls that we had to pay because you cant get around them punk kids that were running the place because nobody was there. Were anxious to get our credit card. Ask if we had any pets and we said yes and they said theyre not allowed. We have to board them for you ****** to be your cost . We said thats not what they told us when we bought it. They were no help at all so we had to turn around and drive back to ******* that night. Another 4 1/2 hours without traffic and scam has ruined our anniversary. And I demand that we have our $235 back. Of course theres no phone number or anything else to get a hold of anybody. Its a total scam and Ill never stay at another as long as I live and I hope the place floods , lose all your money because you deserve it. If youll treat me this way youll treat anyone that way. There was no way to board our pup at this late of a date because hes 15 years old. So theyre asking me to risk our little baby after 6 1/2 hours . Its just a worthless scam and dont fall for it.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ****/HYATT!! My wife and I have paid that awful company over $70,000 for absolutely nothing in return, not to mention the enormous maintenance fees that have risen to $4,600 yearly and keep rising. Paying almost $5,000 right at the beginning of the year is a hardship. Right after the holidays, that is a big chunk of money to not be able to vacation. In 8 years we have only been able to book 1 trip using our points. We have ******* points and still do not have enough to travel where or when we want. Hyatt pulls on your heart strings, promises the world, and makes you believe that upgrading your points is the one and only choice to get the most out of the timeshare. Hyatt does not care about their owners. Period. Even though we have paid the timeshare loan in full and were always on time paying their high yearly fees, Hyatt denies allowing us to cancel. They claim the company has no exit option or hardship program, but also revealed that exit options are at the discretion of the company and can change at any time. If that is the case, then Hyatt has full control and the freedom to decide what should be done in a particular situation. They are choosing to deny us even though they have the power to cancel us whenever they feel like it. This just proves that Hyatt only cares about our money and doesn't care that the company misled and deceived us. They hounded us to attend an "owner update" to go over how to use our points more effectively, but when we got there, we NEVER went over any sort of "help." Instead, it was half a day of persuading us to upgrade our points to get the most out of our timeshare. No one ever explained how to actually use the points we already had. It's an vicious cycle of no availability to book, fruitless meetings in hopes of fixing the issues, offers for 3-night stays to show "new" options, and ending with more money lost and nothing worthy gained. We trusted this company with thousands of dollars and they betrayed us.

We apologize for the frustrations you have experienced with Hyatt ************** We understand your concerns about the high maintenance fees, which are set by the owners' association, and acknowledge the financial burden they cause, especially at the beginning of the year. Regarding your difficulty in booking, we recommend planning further in advance or considering different seasons and locations to maximize your points. We also apologize if you felt pressured into upgrading during sales meetings. We will review our sales practices to ensure they are transparent and informative. Concerning exit options and hardship programs, we currently do not have such programs, but your feedback will be considered for future policy reviews. We are committed to improving our owner update meetings to ensure they provide genuine assistance rather than focusing solely on sales. We regret not meeting your expectations and will use your feedback to improve our services. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I'm sharing my experience to caution others who are considering a timeshare with Hyatt ************** While the allure of vacationing in luxurious properties worldwide can be tempting, the reality of owning a timeshare can be far from the idyllic picture painted during the sales presentation.First and foremost, the financial commitment is substantial and long-term. Despite what might be promised by enthusiastic sales representatives, the costs associated with timeshare ownership extend far beyond the initial purchase price. Maintenance fees, which are subject to increase, can become a significant financial burden over time. Additionally, the flexibility to use your timeshare when and how you want is often overstated, with availability during peak periods being particularly challenging to secure.Furthermore, the resale market for timeshares is highly saturated, making it difficult to sell your timeshare should your circumstances change or you decide that timeshare ownership is not for you. This reality starkly contrasts the impression of easy sellability and value retention often suggested during sales. My advice to anyone considering a Hyatt ************* timeshare is to thoroughly research and weigh the long-term implications of such an investment. While the properties and destinations may be appealing, the constraints, costs, and challenges of timeshare ownership can significantly detract from the overall vacation experience. Don't be swayed by high-pressure sales tactics or promises of exclusive benefits without first doing your due diligence.Remember, vacationing should be about relaxation and enjoyment, not financial stress and regret. Consider alternative vacation options that offer flexibility, affordability, and peace of mind. Your future self will thank you.

Thank you for sharing your experience and cautionary advice regarding Hyatt ************* timeshares. It's important for prospective buyers to thoroughly review all purchase documents provided at the point of sale, as these contain details about financial commitments, maintenance fees, and usage flexibility. The 10-day rescission period offers an opportunity to carefully evaluate these factors before finalizing any decisions. Your insights highlight the importance of informed decision-making and considering alternative vacation options that align with individual preferences and financial goals.

If you plan to vacation, its a great option. My family and I have been utilizing the program for over 8 years, and yeah, there are some things they can work on, but the experiences outweigh the negatives. Dont book last minute, buy enough points to accomplish what you want. They work with you. Its really just a lot of negativity on here and as an owner, I had to say something. Nothings perfect but if you have traveled with Hyatt before, its a deal.
