I am a 77 year old veteran. In March, 2023, I was sold a Club 365 ***** package by Travel Points International. I was told that Club 365 was created so timeshare companies could help owners get more out of their units because of Covid. I was told *** was affiliated with ***. I told the salesperson, that I hadn't traveled since 2018, because of Covid and because I had been in physical therapy and needed a cane to walk. The sales people said that even if I didn't travel, I could get $1,400 a year by selling my RCI points or renting my unit. I can rent my unit through my resort. But I purchased the plan because of the selling points feature. Months later I called *** and complained that I was not getting opportunities to sell points. I was told that I was on a priority list and offers would come soon. Shortly after I found an opportunity to sell my points in my email. I didn't know that I had only three days to contact the resort where the potential buyer of my points wanted to go, check if there was availability and get back to TPI. None of this was explained to me at the time of sale. That was the only request to buy my points that I received. Reading the other BBB complaints about ***, I understand why I had only one opportunity. Complain and they will generate one. Now I understand that the sales effort was focused on selling the travel Club 365 membership. The sale of points option was used merely as an inducement. Even the name Travel Points International is misleading. I am living on a fixed income. I cant afford to give up $2,995 for no value. I saw this as a way to earn more income. I am still in physical therapy and there is no chance I will be travelling any time soon. I asked for a refund to no avail. I will not stop pursuing this until I receive a refund. Note that there are multiple complaints about *** that sound the same.Initial Complaint

In Oct 2023, we paid $2995 to travel points international. We were led to believe 2 things. They would provide 1400 credits that we could use to pay for hotels airfare etc and they walked us thru their site showing all the great deals. We were also told we could place up to 8 weeks of our timeshare time with them for possible rental. They kept saying that it was absolutely guaranteed. I called several times since then to ask about possible rentals of our weeks and were always told to be patient. I finally reached ****** our **** who by the way is constantly in meetings, gone home or other excuses) and she said we could not use those points to "pay" for anything except for the difference between the actual cost of a hotel and the sale price on club 365s website. In our case, we were looking at a place in the dominican repub. and the only thing it would count for is $31 and change per night. Cruises you could get onboard credits. When I said that most cruises offer onboard credits she said they would be doubled. (very doubtful) So I have no idea of why they list shopping and other attractions when you could basically get those sale prices on your own. She absolutely denied that was true. Also I was told that I got a rental agreement on April first but it was never acknowledged. This is an absolute lie!!!! So I then asked about other rental agreements and was told that she would put me back in the queue. I asked why I wasn't in the queue already and her response was that because I did not acknowledge the last one I was taken out. I would like my money back for this blatant misrepresentation. She kept saying that I was recorded on all calls. If that were true I am sure that a listener would see how I was misleadBusiness Response

Backin December 6, 2021, Travel Points International staff name ****** called me and promissed to rent out my Timeshare points at rate of $1,400 per week. Based on my points balance, she promissed me that I could make between $8000.00 to $11,000.00 a year. She told me that all of her line was green meaning company had a lot of rental requests thats why TPI needed timeshares owner like me to do business with. To get into this program, I had to pay upfront to Travel point International $ ********. After I allowed TPI to charge my credit card, I did not hear from her. When I called her, she asked me to be patient. She told me that She will put me in a rotation. when rotation to get contracts soon. She will email me or call me. When rental contracts came by the end of the year 2022, I asked my money back. She transferred my case to her supervisor ***** who continued to listen to me, process my request and ask me for patient. After so many calls from me, ***** told me my complaints went litigation. When I calling her, she told me to be patient to allow her to put me back to rotation. Despite my patience, I never received a completed contract. When I insisted to give me my money back, she told me that they registered me to another web site called club 365 which was a extra benefit to sign up with TPI. This is a FRAUD that I want BBB to report in hope that BBB can make a difference in my quest to get my money back. They are acammers. They are professional liars.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to address this customers complaint.TPI is committed to customer satisfaction and strives to resolve any and all concerns our customers may have. TPI has worked closely with Mr. ******* regarding the concerns he has brought forth in his complaint. Throughout our discussions,Mr. ******* has misrepresented the details of what he purchased on more than one occasion, the Club 365 membership was the actual purchase, not an extra benefit as he stated in his complaint to the BBB. The details of his purchase were discussed in great length during his initial call and further stated on the contract he signed. Regarding the issue of the complimentary rental program, several rental requests were sent to Mr. ******* thru the email provided to no avail.
This member enrolled December 6th, 2021. A signed copy of the enrollment agreement was mailed to the consumer within 7 days of enrollment and were given access to their online account on December *********. Mr. ******* had 10 days from his date of purchase to cancel his membership without any penalties and did not do so.
The decision has been made to deny this request. We cannot authorize a refund of our services as requested, inasmuch as they took ownership over two years ago, did not cancel during the timeframe stated in his contract, and failed to remit annual dues as outlined in the enrollment agreement. This consumer's comments regarding the matter have been noted.
We encourage Mr. ******* to contact us with any additional questions.

The Travel POInt response clearly shows that they are committed to frauds. They pretend to have a succesful Timeshares rental program through which they prey on timeshares owners like me. Once they can not deliver what they had promissed to customers, they ask customer to be patient. They lie again and again without remorse while they have been given to their scheme a legal face. The real reason for me to gave them my money was to rent my timeshares points not to get into club 365 which is another travel company when I have been travel with Holiday Inn, IHG, RCI etc. It does not make any sense to any reasonable person. ******* one of their employee, my councelor, who called me several times to offer me Travel points rental program assured me that I will be having the opportunity to rent out my points several times per year making at least $8000 to $11000 based on my points aivailable. When I questionned ****** about club 365, She told me " Don't worry Mr. ******** That's how the program works. The club 365 is a extra benefit to encourage Time shares owners to get on board' You can sign it" Otherwise, I would not be giving them that much money $2995 for free. I received only one offer that was declined after I had accepted it. After that They never snet me any real offer. Again, the scammer is laying. There was another email sent to me but that was cancelled shortly. The reality is they do not have any rental Program. They had been usung it to fraudulently reap money from Timeshares Owners. They are scammers who need to be stopped in their evil deed. ******, my ccouncelor, told me that I allowed to call her only 3 times a year regarding my issues. When I called to expressed my frustration with lack of rentals, a supervisor named *****************, advised me to be patient. I will be having rentals contracts. IShe will be putting me in a rotation. "The line was green" meaning they have a lot of rental requests. Howvever, they did not deliver not a single rental contract to me. It is purely a fraudulent entrprise that BBB must flagged as such. I included also my certified letter that I sent them last month and they did not receive it. Thank youInitial Complaint

My complaint is against Travel Points International (2295 S. Hiawassee Rd. Suite 313, Orland, FL 32835, (407) 544-3830, (855) 444-4104 Toll free). I purchased a platinum rental program agreement to rent my time share on 11/1/21. I was told with the points I had (19,000) with RCI, they would guarantee 8 rental week rentals at $1400 each in the coming year. Ready to regain some money for my timeshare, I paid their up front fee of $2995.00. I called them back a few days later about my second thoughts and spoke to a manager who assured me I had a written guarantee. To date I have received one offer for $1400 for nearly all of the available points. I have not found any language that looks like a guarantee in the agreement. Although the marketer and I discussed RCI points, the agreement states the points are with Hilton. Their "pitch" was laden with references to RCI but they are in no way affiliated with RCI.They prey on people's desire to get out of their timeshare contract or at least recoup some of the money spent on the timeshare. Clearly, this was a bad choice on my part as they didn't fulfill what they said and the agreement does not contain the language (guarantee) the marketer said it would. Their business tactics are akin to scam artists.Business Response

Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/10/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The problem is not resolved. Travel Points International has not honored their "guarantee" to get me offers for 8 weeks of my timeshare. I have had only one offer to consider and they and I agreed it was a terrible offer.
One representative contacted me. I called back and left a message. The presentative called me back, left a message, to which I returned the call and left a message. I appreciate the effort and look forward to being able to connect.
