    On 5/17/19 I purchased a solar pool heat system with eight panels. On 8/4/21 the first of all eight panels failed (panels bulged, blistered, and spewed salt water onto the roof and grass below). Two more failed two weeks later. I was charged $115 to replace the three panels. There is a 10-year non-transferable warranty on the panels and a 1-year warranty on service. The $115 was their service fee for coming out and included the techs replacing the three panels. On May 5, 2022, the rest of the five panels failed. I was told that it would cost $575 to replace the five panels. I questioned the substantial increase in price and was told the original price was wrong and those techs were fired. This was not true, their lead tech, Brian replace the three original files (and these last five) and I was told (from two company people) that the $115 original price was their normal charge for warranty work. When I complain once again to the tech on the day the last of the panels were replaced and asked them (once again) to charge me for just the service charge (as was done before) I was told that it was recorded that I agreed to the price. This is true when I talked to the receptionist to verify the appointment, but if I hadn't agreed I would still have a nonfunctioning system. If they recorded my multiple conversations it will be proved that I completely disagreed with the price and let them know I would be filing a complaint with the BBB. They didn't care. The panel manufacturer took responsibility, but the company refuses even after a complete system failure. I have at this point paid twice, in less than three years' time, to install these 8 panels. I am willing to pay their current service fee amount of $125, anything more is price gouging, laying the risk of the purchase completely on the customer, and taking advantage that I am required to use the company per the warranty and don't have a choice.

    If there was a 0 star rating, I would have chosen it. There has been one problem after another with my install and every time it's someone else's fault. After waiting for weeks and hearing nothing, I'll call up and ask for an update and they tell me they will call me back. I have never once gotten a call back from them. I have always waited a minimum of 24 hours, and usually more than a week before I call again, and am told "We'll call you back". But they never do. I've been waiting for 4 days to schedule the technician to come out and get it working and cannot even get them to give me a date when they can schedule the visit, let alone actually get the work done. Of course, "it's not their fault" that they don't know when the technician will be available long enough to schedule a visit to finish the install. The equipment has been on my roof, and I have been making payments on it, for over two months and it still has never worked.
