I have had Maximo as my provider for monitoring and repairs for my panels. Speaking to them has never been a pleasant experience and they are not reliable at all. Well starting in May they stopped even answering their phone. I have left countless voicemails and nobody ever responded. I finally got a hold of someone last Friday 7/14/2023. They told me they would send someone out to evaluate the problem today 7/19/2023. I waited from 8AM to 5PM. Nobody came. I have been calling non stop since yesterday and nobody picks up the phone again. This company scammed me. I now have to pay my electricity bill and the loan payments for the panels. This is so unacceptable.Initial Complaint

LACKING CUSTOMER SERVICE/NO RESPONSE When I bought my house, it came with solar panels that Maximo Solar installed. I had my roof redone in 2021 and Maximo came out to remove and reinstall the panels once the roof was completed. At the beginning of June 2023 I noticed wet spots on my ceiling and contacted the roofers to do an inspection. It was discovered that the problem was how the panels are installed to the roof. The tight fasting’s/bolts are what is allowing the water to seep through. I reached out to Maximo on June 9, 2023 and spoke with Alondra who was informed of the issue. She stated that they will send a technician out to repair the problem and that someone will be contacting me within 24-48hours to schedule the appointment. It is now going on a month and I have not received a call back or any correspondence from Maximo as of today July 6, 2023. I have called them virtually every day since the 14th of June and left messages to no avail. It is even more frustrating because we are in the rainy season/ hurricane season with a leaky roof.Initial Complaint

1. Maximo Solar misrepresented the tax credit to me. I asked my sales person via text why my payment would go up after x number of months. The salesman called me right away and said if I did not pay my tax rebate back to the loan the cost would go up. That was a lie.
2. I have had and still have 13 microinverters out for over 2 months. I am now paying on my $55k Solar loan and paying a FPL bill of almost $200. I am a teacher and I cannot afford this. I am going to end up losing my house over this company.
3. I have called and left messages every few days for the last month (once I figured out that the panels were not working). I have emailed. I even went to the Maximo office in Orlando just to find out the business is no longer there. I even called and emailed the Fort Lauderdale office. I even tried to call the installer for more information.
4. This company has salesmen who do not tell the truth and they do not provide service after the sale.
5. I want the company to come get their panels and cancel everything. My contract was entered based on misinformation by slick sales people.Initial Complaint

April 26 my panels were disconnected for a main electrical panel replacement. They were supposed to be reconnected on May 3. May 3 came and went with no contact. I called May 6. I was told that the service man was at the home, but a part that is crucial to operation failed. (every other time they called or knocked and required permission to work on the premises) Warranty Item. Called back left message after message. Finally got a hold of a person on May 15. Part was in and I told they would call me back that week to schedule installation. No call. I have not been able to get a call back or live person since. 14 voice mails, 5 texts. No response. My solar panels are inoperative, leaving me with a very high electric bill AND the payment on the panels. Every extension goes to voice mail.
Maximo is also supposed to be monitoring my system. They have never monitored. I have to call every time a panel goes out. Before the disconnect, I informed them that I had a panel out. They did not check the panel before disconnecting the system. I suspect they would like a new $350 service call for warranty work.Initial Complaint

I currently have two loose solar panels. On May 4, 2023, I called the Maximo Solar company and Alondra made an appointment for May 12.
She informed me that there would be no charge for this service.
The service was canceled the same day of the appointment by them and that in 24 hours they will call me to make a new appointment.
More than two weeks have passed and no one has called me, I have made more than 15 calls, nobody answer the phone. I have left numerous voicemails and have not been able to contact anyone.
Maximo, please I need a solution to this issue.Business Response

False advertising and misleading information: the sales rep for our solar equipment reiterated multiple times that the IRS would refund 30% solar credit to us and we would use it to pay down our loan in order to keep our current rate. I talked with the sales reps numerous times and was always told the same. Except that is NOT how it works at all. The IRS holds that credit. So now I have to pay 15,000 out of pocket to keep my rate the same. The sales people all tell the same story and it is a lie.Business Response

Maximo Solar is an experienced company with more than 10
years in the renewable energy market. We care for all our customers and take
their concerns very seriously. For the ITC, the sales representative informs
the customers about the government credit for the solar panels. As a renewable
energy company we always recommend our customers to contact a tax professional
to confirm the eligibility. On the proposal signed by Mrs. Kelly ********* mentions the following:Not everyone is eligible for credits, incentives, or
rebate or can fully use them. Please consult your tax professional or legal
professional for further information. The actual amount can be higher or lower
than what is quoted and may not stay at the fixed rate over time. It can also
change based on the tax bracket you are in.Attached you will find the signed proposal signed to refer on

To whom it may concern,
I am writing this email because I have not receive any solution for my solar panels with Maximo solar.
We have issues with the sales agent that Maximo Solar hired to give us the first consultation, most of the things that he told us was a lie including the $1000.00 to remove and reinstall the solar panels in case we needed to replace the roof. See below emails between us and Maximo solar about several incidents.
We had issues with the roof and incorrect information from your employee. I am pretty sure that Maximo also have all emails as well.
When I talked to Aleisha 2 weeks ago before the technician was coming to my house, she told us that Maximo will give us a $1000.00 discount to remove the panels. After the technician inspected the system, he had to seal the panels for the 2nd time, the first one was back in 2020 and the 2nd one a week ago on January 2023. I asked Maximo to waive the fees for the panels that are damaging the roof and she told me that her supervisor will give us $1000.00 discount which is the same offer from 2 weeks prior before the technician came to my house.
My problem is that before Maximo installed the panels, my roof was inspected and according to you, it was no issues and the roof was in good condition, a year and half later my roof started to have leaks and some of the areas are from the solar panels.
Who did the roof inspection prior to installation? Do you have a report? I always knew that at some point I will need to replace the roof and that was one of my questions during the consultation and I was told the cost will be $1000.00.
I haven't hear anything from Maximo Solar since last week, I was told that my case will be escalate it to management and you will call or email me back within 48 hours. I am still waiting with no word from Maximo Solar.
I can prove the leaking of the roof back from 2020. They came and sealed it, then leak again and I try to contact previous employees and they never answer their emails.
I hope that everything will get resolve in house between us of us and Maximo.Business Response

Maximo Solar is an experienced
company with more than 10 years in the renewable energy market. We care for all
our customers and take their concerns very seriously. The solar system for this
customer was installed on November 6, 2017. At that time, the roof complied
with the requirements for installation. The
customer requested a quote for a removal and reinstall on January 13, 2023.
After we sent the quote, a phone call was received from this customer stating she
will not pay the amount. After that, she requested a service for a roof leak.
Our technician visited the house on January 16, 2023. On this visit our
employee took pictures and verified the roof leaks. Just one of the leaks was related
to our installation, others were in areas where there were no panels installed.
The technician proceeded to fix the leak. That day our technician explained to the
customer that they need to replace the roof since it was very damage and old.
Maximo Solar as a an act of good faith can provide a discount of $1000.00 of
the removal and reinstall, taking into consideration that this property is located
in Tampa, also she has 33 panels to be remove and reinstalled. On our contract
or on any of this sale documents do not mention that the removal and reinstallation
price was for $1000.00. As per our contract the workmanship warranty for roof
leaks is for 2 years. This period expired in November 2019. It is important to
mention that the visit back on January 16, 2023 was provided with no charge,
even though the warranty was expired. As written above, Maximo Solar is
willing to provide the discount for the service requested and work this at the
earliest convenience. For reference we attached the
roof pictures and the agreement signed by the customer.Business Response

We bought the system for the solar panels around 5-6 years ago in which currently we have a problem with the monitoring system with the company Maximo Solar. They have not answered our calls and when we ask for help in writing, they will not give it to us. No solutions were given and they tell us to call directly to the product maker while in contract they are the ones to help with this sort of problem. We cannot call any other companies because they will invalidate our warranty which means our hands are essentially tied.Business Response

Maximo Solar Industries cares for all our customers and take their concerns very seriously. Regarding this client, our company have been in contact by phone calls and emails since March of 2022.This customer's monitoring system is through a third-party company. In March, we contacted this company to assist this client with his issue. They agreed to visit the property to take care of the problem. From our understanding this issue was resolved. Few months later, we received an email that no one went to the client's house. This third-party company does not provide information unless the customer do the call or three-way call. To solve this, we will be visiting the customer house to verify the meter. If we are not able to fix it we will install a new meter.

This problem was reported in February 2022 by me, not by a third party. Yesterday (10/28) Maximo staff came to my house to take pictures of the problem again. I am waiting for a response, since they had done this process in February and there was no response nor did they solve the problem. They told me again to wait for an answer. Conclusion, the problem is not solved.
Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/11/02) */
As we communicated to the customer, we sent the technician on site as the third party informed us. Also we let the customer know that if in the service the issue was not resolved we will be working with the third party to do the arrangements. We have been in communication with the third party to solve the issue. We called the customer today to provide status of the case. All the emails will be forwarded to the customer for evidence. We are waiting on the third party to send us information regarding the new meter. We will maintain the customer informed.
