Received a quote from handyman for $700 to install a new prehung door. I was quoted from Matt all would be done, including stucco work and drywall repair, to the point where we only needed to paint to finish the project. They sent Larry and Frank who seemed very confident it was not a hard job at all. In the process of removing the old door and frame they chipped our interior tile. During install I had to ask many times why does it not look straight or square and the older man said well what can you do. Larry cut the door frame much more than needed, and matt the manager mentioned that wasn't done correctly. Larry cut out the header and installed it under the threshold raising the door significantly above the interior floor. They decided the door had to be installed crooked to close correctly. After Larry said the job came out perfect he handed me an additional bill for $350 saying he was charging for the extra cutting and header work he didn't have to do in the first place. I told him the finish work was unacceptable. the stucco repair was already cracking, the interior drywall repair was done by loading the excessive gaps with caulk and the 1\4 round he said was going to make it look clean and straight was not even finished. Talking to Matt 1\4 round trim wasn't even to be installed. Larry was trying to cover up his poor job. Additionally he drilled numerous holes in our door frame and left them exposed saying we can fix that. Made holes in the threshold which were not supposed to be drilled making an eyesore. Finished with great stuff foam and caulking all over the door frame making it unsalvageable. Need a new frame and a company to come in and fix their mistakes. We were assured by the manager Matt we needed a new door and we gave him the build sheet and receipt. Told would be fixed and now are getting excuse after excuse over a $2,246 door. Waiting now for over a month. Customer service had laughed and belittled our concerns. Promised to call and never did
