    I was working with a realtor to find a home to rent and this realtor reached out to this company and told them my scenario thatmy credit wasn't good but that I didn't have any rental evictions or any background or any problems with landlord and that I was willing to pay two months rent upfront The people said OK they'll be approved with the two months and they made me pay $100 fee for the application and then they came back and said nope that I'm denied because of the credit because they got another application and they decided to go with it. They misled me. I would've never filled out the application if they didn't tell me that was gonna be approved. As long as I pay two months rent I'm asking for my hundred dollars back.

    Hello BBB,
    We are a rental management company, and as part of our standard process, all applicants are required to submit a rental application for us to conduct a credit and background check. Please note that the application fee is not collected for profit—it is used solely to cover the cost of these third-party screening services.
    At the time of application, we received multiple applicants for the same property. After a thorough review of all submissions, the landlord selected another applicant with better credit score and history.
    It’s important to understand that submitting an application does not guarantee approval. Our system, AppFolio, clearly states during the application process that the application fee is non-refundable, and applicants must acknowledge this before submission.

    All potential tenants are required to undergo a background check. We have informed them that if their credit score is not strong enough, they may offer a two-month security deposit to improve their chances of being approved. However, this does not guarantee approval. If multiple applicants apply at the same time, the landlord reserves the right to choose among them at their discretion.
