      Magellan is by far the worst PBM I've ever used.First off, it took MONTHS to get my specialty medication through Magellan's ridiculous and wasteful authorization process.Second, Magellan tried charging me almost $2,000 for a four-week supply when my plan document clearly states out of pocket max is supposed to be only $150.Third, six months into taking my specialty medication, the authorization for it apparently expired. However, Magellan didn't tell me until THREE WEEKS AFTER, so now here I am overdue for a dose, suffering from major withdrawals and pain.Fourth, Magellan tells you a different story almost every time you contact them.I'm beyond tired of Magellan. At this point, they've screwed up my prescriptions more times than I can count and have caused me significant physical harm because of it.

      This is quite possibly the worst company that I have ever dealt with. I would give negative stars and i feel bad for anyone whose company has switched to this provider. They will put you on hold for over two hours and still not be able to help. I have been on the same medication for years and now that my company decided to use them it is impossible to get the medications that work for me. they don't tell you when pre-authoriztions expire and will not notify you when they deny your claims. they make you go in circles with the local pharmacy and your doctor. on multiple occasions I have missed my monthly prescription because they make you jump through hoops to get medications that you need. The new voice recognition can;t understand me and hung up on me twice. it makes you answer several questions and then says there was an error locating my account.

      This company is terrible to deal with and denies important prescriptions other companies approve solely based on their biased internal review.

      If I could give zero stars I would. I have been trying to deal with this incompetent organization for over a month now. I have probably dealt with no less than 10 people. Each pointing fingers and other organizations trying to work for me. They expect me as a patient to be the middle person. They tell me I need to resolve the hold up with these people but do not tell me what the hold up is. One girl even told me to pick a specialty pharmacy and when I asked who she said "I guess I can ****** one for you..." No one communicates. It was the worst experience ever. I had to have another company ********** get on the line with us to show them they were wrong. After being on hold for what seemed like forever, they finally agreed that they made the mistake. This has been going on for weeks now. Today I get a text saying its ready and to schedule my delivery, when I call they again claim that its still on hold because of Paid Health. This company is full of incompetent people and BS excuses and there should be an overhaul. Especially when you are dealing with peoples medication. Maybe they are just hoping you die before you can get it.

      My husbands union switched to this pharmacy in January. It has been absolutely terrible dealing with this company and I have spent countless hours on the phone. They need PAs for refills which is absolutely ridiculous and theyve made it almost impossible for my doctor to prescribe my life saving medications. Used to have Express Scripts and they were a million times better than Magellan. I cant wait until the union drops this company. Magellan is the worst!

      I have cancer and I get my chemo meds mail order through Magellan. Their nurse ********* is very rude and controlling. When I have to do my survey with the manufacturer, even though I am done with the pharmacy end of things, she refuses to leave the line and remarks she'll just stay in the background of the call to say bye to everyone. I am not comfortable with this but she never bothers to ask if it is okay. I can tell the folks helping with the survey are uncomfortable too because they always ask if I am needed back implying it's not necessary for her to stay. I feel like my HIPAA rights are being violated because she has no reason to be on the line any longer.

      If I could give this zero stars I would. I have never in my life experienced such awful service, both customer service and the actual **********************. I am a type one diabetic and unfortunately my mom's company does not offer any other insurances that would be available for my medications. Over the past 6 years we have been using I have spent a ridiculous amount of hours on the phone with Magellan. My prescription has not changed once in the past 5 years and should always be on automatic renewal, meaning I should not have to call to renew my prescription because it is the exact same every single time. Somehow however, once the time I should be getting my insulin (which is something I need to live) comes around, it does not arrive. I then would have to call and request to have it sent. Since it should be on automatic renewal there is always some sort of issue and effs up future prescriptions and the current one. I have been left with only one vial of insulin left for two weeks, which is very dangerous and should not happen. Each time I call they claim that it was somehow taken off of automatic renewal and that they will put it back on, which does not ever happen. This is the same case with my Omnipods and Dexcoms. In addition to this headache, talking to the automated voice that allegedly has great voice recognition takes an absurd amount of time, never understands me no matter how clear and loud I speak, and always directs me to the wrong department. This week I had the displeasure of calling because I was sent the wrong amount of insulin. I sat on hold for about an hour and was sent to the wrong department by someone who found it very funny, taking me back to the first person I spoke to. Even after this my issue was not resolved. I was told by ******** that my prescription has been decreased. After hearing this I contacted my doctors office who told me that this was not true, and when I called Magallen back they had no answers. Worst service of my life.

      This company is the absolute WORST. Like others have stated, no one seems to know how to resolve issues, the hold times are long, and resolutions take multiple phone calls. Each and every time I need to order a medication I have to start from scratch as no notes are captured in the system. I cannot believe my workplace, ***************, uses this company and hope that we end the contract with them.
