After reading the information about New York State notarization on ************ website (****************************************), I choose your service to notarize an affidavit. However, my employer (the *************************************) did not accept this notarization, stating that according to New York State's law and regulation, the online notary public must be physically located in the *****************. This contradicts ************ claimed, and as a result, my notarization is not recognized.I sent them ************ webpage and argued my case, but they insisted that New York State law requires compliance with this rule.I am very frustrated and had to find another notary in ********, since the information on ************ is misleading, I've contacted online customer ********************** twice to request a refund, but both times I was denied. I also emailed the company and have not received any response. The wording on ************ (****************************************), which was 100% certain, misled me into believing that this notarization would be fully valid in **************. This resulted in me losing the corresponding notarization fees, and I hope the company will refund these fees.Thank you very muchBusiness Response

Dear Sir,
We are not ************ nor do we have your name in our system for any purchases. Our website is www.notaries.com and we are a bonding company that helps people become notaries.
Thank you.

I got certified as a General Notary Public using ***** Notary services back in Sept 2020 and then renewed again in Feb 2024 for the upcoming expiration in September. At that time, I sent my request in by mail and with my payment. After I received my stamp last week, I contacted the company due to not receiving my embosser seal which I would need the updated stamp to go inside the previous handheld stamp I purchased. I was told that I selected a "e notary seal" and that is why I did not receive the embosser seal. I must've been confused thinking the e meant embosser notary seal when I made the purchase, as I am not an online notary, which is what I have been told the e-notary seal would be used for. Their records in general, but even with the paperwork I sent to renew and purchase the seal, would have reflected that I am not a remote online notary and would not have use for the e-notary seal and should have prompted them to at least check to see if I made a mistake when I selected that. It is not made very clear on the form what that means and I would think others have made this same error. I explained the situation and asked for a refund, or to exchange for the embosser seal and was told they would not honor either and I had to purchase the seal and could not be refunded. I paid $25 for the enotary seal that I cannot use and find it to be pretty disappointing they won't understand the mistake and refund me or allow me to exchange, especially when they did the paperwork that would show I can't use that as I am not an online notary. I respectfully request either a refund of $25, or to be able to put that $25 toward the embosser seal I should have selected and I can pay the rest that would be owed since it appears to be $39 for the one i meant to select.Business Response

DO NOT BUY THIS COURSE!!I purchased an online course through this company, which was to take a course, get a background check completed and a certificate for notary signing agent to further my new business. The course was not a course just a short reading to be completed then they issue a certificate. It was a joke. No course at all. No background report issued.Purchased on 3/18/24 for $149 and once I completed the so called "course" I emailed requesting a refund for this "course"I was informed that since the certificate was issued, no refund would be issued.DO NOT BUY THIS COURSE!!You can read what they offer in their "course" on line and obtain more information.Business Response

Please remove this inappropriate review or we will cancel our our BBB memberships. Her statements are a lie. All of our courses are approved by various state departments and audited regularly.Business Response

Dear ******, It's unfortunate that you were unhappy with your purchase of the course and background check. Many people take the course as it is accepted nationwide and learn a lot from it. Regarding a refund, it does state several times on the website and in our terms and conditions that education courses are non-refundable. We did email a link for the background check on the same day you purchased it. We are not showing that the link was completed so that money would be refunded. Since the charge has been disputed, we will have to wait for an answer from the bank which is expected by May 17.Initial Complaint

Started process of renewing my notary on 5-11-23 and stamp was not shipped out until 10-6-23. I paid $205.95 for renewal and supplies (attached). Every step of the process with this company has been difficult. I have had to call numerous times and follow-up on every step of the process. The customer ********************** has been less than accommodating and most times very rude. Due to the process taking so long by the time my stamp was finally mailed I had moved. I called and they told me to contact **** I contacted *** and was told the stamp had been delivered to my old address and that Notaries.com filed a claim on it the very next day. The claim covered cost of stamp and the shipping. So Notaries.com got all their money back and then some and I still have not received my stamp. I have tried to contact the company and have been hung-up on. I have sent an email complaint and have received no response. My client ID *******. I simply want to get what I paid for and receive my stamp. I intend to file a complaint with the state as well.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We do not want to ever treat our customers like they are not important to us. I have spoken to the notary on the phone and apologized for the miscommunication on our part, sent her a refund and overnighted the order to the correct address with tracking.Initial Complaint
