After an ER visit in 2024 the Emergency Physicians of Central Florida, according to them, expected a payment of roughly ************************************************** Nothing in my email which has been the same for 15 years. No physical mail to my address of 1.5 years and no calls made to me. When they told me the number associated with my account, it was not mine, nor was the address. On Monday (5.12.25) of this week a collections alert on my credit report displayed for the first time. I have never missed a payment on any account and was deeply confused as to how this could have occurred. Their ****** reviews are littered with people having the exact same exact same issue, no notice before being sent to collections. I, like many others it seems, had no idea that there was a separate cost to specifically pay the ER doctors especially because no information was ever successfully sent out. This immediately tanked my credit score at a very crucial time in my life where I am trying to purchase a home. It seems that there is a pattern of this kind of behavior at Emergency Physicians of Central Florida and while my priority is to rectify my credit report, I hope something can be done to prevent this in the future.Initial Complaint

This organization has posted a collection account on my credit report. I have asked on multiple occasions for it to either be proven or removed. They have done neither. I am suffering extensive financial loss from the damage they are doing to my credit report. No attempt to collect or identify a debt has ever been made, despite multiple requests, other than the "credit report extortion" described above. If there was a legitimate medical expense incurred (which does not appear to be the case), they have waited far too long to respond to my requests to identify the debt. Today, I would have no chance of engaging the medical insurance I carried at the time this collection was "opened" (over two years ago).Initial Complaint

I received a collection notice from ********************************** in the amount of $558. The date of the service was 3/22/24 at ****. The dispute is that I never saw anyone that identified themselves as a PA, nurse practitioner, or doctor. I visited the ** and only checked in to determine the wait time. I never left the waiting room, never saw anyone and did not receive any treatment. Once I was advised the wait time was over 8 hours I advised that I will see my ************ Physician. After informing **** of this situation they waived their patient responsibility bill. Emergency Physicians of Central Florida has listed a collection claim on my credit.Initial Complaint

I contacted them and indicated that this is either erroneous or fraudalent and asked to have the bill corrected. I have continued to recieve statements despite several calls. I have contacted the No Surprise consumer complaint as well as written Emergency Phy and email and now sent a letter. They need to zero this balance and update the billing correctly.Initial Complaint

On 9/23/2024 I visited *********************** due to an health issue. I was not able to pay the total bill at the facility and was granted Financial assistance write off due to my household financial circumstances. I'm now receiving a bill from EPCF saying I owe for ER Exam and ER Charge when I was charged at the facility for all tests and exams. I do not have the money to pay nor do I recognize these charges as they're separate from the facility that service was rendered in.Initial Complaint
