We had a vinyl flooring bought and installed by a contractor 11 months ago at a 1-bedroom apartment, approx. 800 sq ft. Flooring was sold as waterproof with lifetime warranty. Not only it's showing water damage in multiple parts where water is present (bathroom and kitchen), but also on other parts of the house. It looks like it's cracking on the edges, bending, and spacing between planks. It's losing color and outside the shower, it looks rotten (making sure that we mention that the shower has a curtain and a rug outside). Contractor that installed referred us to Orlando Floor Depot that sold them the product. In contact with Orlando Floor Depot, they mentioned that they no longer sell this product due to many complaints since they started selling and steered us to look for Compass Flooring which is the distributor here in Orlando FL. In contact with Compass Flooring, which claims to be representing an Asian manufacturer in the US, I was informed that to claim warranty I must hire a private company (that they refer) to inspect and determine if their product is defectuous. This flooring has been installed June 30th, 2021. At this point I have no idea of how much would be for an inspection, or if I even would trust an inspection on their product done by a partner company. I believe that if they represent a product that offers warranty, they should be the ones performing inspections and taking care of warranty claims. Over the telephone they were very brief and not able to provide me with a solution. We are looking for a replacement of a bad product. I have attached pictures, but they are not very clear. The product in question is: Clear Springs Collection, St. John Oak color.
