    This is in regards to Mattamy Homes *****************, the Brokers/builders and the sales person **** *****. These folks have been deceitful from the start, and yet I was foolish enough to continue until I couldn't anymore.I feel they also took advantage of a senior citizen.I looked at ***** Livemore in ****** a couple of weeks ago. They had a golf cart in front of the property and advertised online, saying buy the house and get a free golf cart. I then, prior to signing anything, spoke with the lender to get prequalified, who said I didn't qualify for the *****I then decided to pursue outside financing and even though the advertisement small print said I could use my own lender and get the cart, **** told me that was "Against Their Policy". Someone was telling a ****** I looked at other places, and still decided I like this the best, so I went back. I was out of the country, but let **** know I would like the property and we settled on a price of $462,390. She sent me the agreement on Friday 11/22 and pushed me hard to sign it, but I wanted to wait until I got back in the country.When reading through the contract, I noticed buried deep in the fine print was a notice that I had to pay $749 for a "Builder's Fee" or in essence, the pleasure of doing business with them. This was never discussed or brought up, and was another act of deception.On Monday, the lender asked when I was expecting to close and I told her that **** and I agreed on 12/30 or 12/31, and she informed me that Mattamy closes down 10 days from 12/24 and it would be impossible to close. I called **** and told her that was a deal breaker, I then followed up with an email Monday night telling **** in writing that we were rescinding the offer. I got the signed addendums this morning but not the master.I then checked my bank, and the check I wrote Sunday had already cleared Monday. I asked **** to have Mattamy cut me a cashier's check by the end of the day and have heard nothing.

    As the owner of 2 properties 96 and 41 at ***** by Mattamy Homes, it's very disappointing to have to take this issue a step further because employees and management of the company ignore communications and refuse to follow up. This has been an ongoing problem since closing. On 5/28/24, I contacted ***********************, VP of Operations, who replied with nothing but excuses and lies telling me his employees would complete some of the work on 5/31/24 and nothing was done. My house on lot 96 has lots of unfinished work that was recorded during the warranty walkthrough. *****, a Mattamy employee, has worked with me to get some of the issues resolved. ******, a warranty rep, has not answered my calls or messages and has not acted on completing the remaining work that needs to be done- my sliding door where the stucco was fixed has never been painted, my garage has a greater than a quarter size crack, my pavers along the driveway are discolored due to the accumulation of water because of drainage issues. Surrounding houses have had their drainage and sidewalk fixed except mine.The property on lot ********************************************************************** the house coming from the ground which was tested with a moisture meter. NOTHING has been done. ***** was contacted and no reply. The pavers are tilted inward towards the driveway and the drainage cause the water deposits.************** gave me an excuse for every listed issue on these properties telling me the issues are normal. For instance in his words: "Within 2.5 hours of the rain stopping the sidewalks in front of both homes were completely dry. There should not be an expectation that they will be dry from the sprinklers in the overnight or **** hours." Had ************** done his homework he would know that sprinklers come on in this community at various times. I have contacted him with further details including pictures since 6/5/24 and have not received any correspondence from anyone from the company.

    I closed on a new construction home on September 15th, 2022. I've had many problems since moving into the house. Every time it rained, our backyard got flooded to the point water almost got into the house. When the grass is watered, it made a big puddle of water in my backyard and all around the the house. It takes days for the water to drain away. Water stand at my house without any other way to let the water out because drainage issues. My driveway is not functional on raining days. Mattamy Homes is not emailing me back or keeping me informed of what's being done to address the problems. I received an email from our HOA ******************* stating my name was added to list of people that Mattamy Homes will reach out to. It's been months and I have not heard from Mattamy Homes. I've sent countless emails and made multiple phone calls, but I have been ignored. The whole situation has been overwhelming. Mattamy Homes keeps all of the reports a secret when everyone in the community is having drainage problems. Who will address these issues and when? I need an answer. My family deserves a safe place to stay.
