I needed two ear molds made for a ************* headset. **** had very specific instructions on the material to use and which parts of the ear needed to be molded. ******** made the molds and I ******* them immediately as I needed the ear fittings as soon as possible. When the vender received the molds, they send an email stating that they were the wrong material and the molds very completely unusable as they were wrinkled and she did not follow the instructions, missing crucial parts of the ear. They restated the instructions and emphasized the silicon foam to use. I forwarded the email to ******** at HearUSA. She told me to come back Monday. I drove over 30 minutes Monday morning for a 9 am appointment. When I arrived, I asked her if she had the correct silicon. She did not and she said she read the email, but missed that part. She then attempted to get the silicon from the dentist next door and they told her "we don't have enough to share" which I am guessing is indicative of their relationship with her next door. She told me she would need to research the silicone and that I would need to come back a third time. I left and went to another audiologist nearby and showed them the attached picture of the mold ******** did. They said "What in the world is that? That is the worst mold I have ever seen." They then passed the picture on my phone around the office amazed at the poor attempt at an ear molding. However, they were unable to get me in that afternoon. They recommended another audiologist in **********. I drove 45 minutes to his office and showed him the picture. He immediately guessed ******** did the mold. He then looked at the instructions and made the mold with the correct foam which apparently should be a common item at an audiologist's office. I called HearUSA and asked to be refunded $65 for the terrible molds. She emailed me and stated that she only charged me $65 for an office visit and I had an office visit so she wouldn't refund me that fee.
