On 9/6/2023, Fence4U salesman **** came to my residence and provided me a quote for $2,999 for fencing. I initially attempted to have him come back after thinking about it, but he was very pushy and insisted that I sign that day and put a deposit down to reserve the material and date. He didn't go over the contract and due to him ******* me I signed and initialed the contract. I made a $1,499 deposit on 9/6/2023 via Zelle phone number **************. I submitted the drawing/markup **** provided to my ***. During that time, he advised me not to mention the company when submitting my approval request to the *** and I could bypass the city for a permit if I wanted to save money. I later decided I did not want to bypass the permit and would like to add an additional fence to have the fence properly installed. This new request brought the estimation to $3,319. I did not place any additional deposit. **** asked if I was going through the city to get a permit and requested I not mention Fence4U. My *** denied the request on 10/2/2023 stating that additional information was needed. **** provided pictures of the vinyl fencing to provide to the ***. I, instead, called him to cancel the contract on 10/9/2023. He called and stated that he'd already placed the order and that they would keep *****% of the initial contracted amount. I asked why didn't he mention that before ******* me to sign the contract. He stated the information was in bold letters and no one could miss it. It was in the fine print not bold letters. He stated that since he placed the order, the material could not be returned. I inquired why the material could not be used in another order since the vinyl fencing is all universal. He did not respond. It is now 11/17/2023 and two attempts were made to have **** with Fence4U refund the deposit and no response has been received. This salesman is a fast talker and all his action that day was intentional to keep my money for services that have not been rendered.
