DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH QUINTON!
Formerly sky speed innovation now
Operating as superior smart homes for because of him scamming so many people in Florida he now is doing in Texas. Currently living in woodlands area
He is a scam artist! I met him through thumbtack and hired to do some work for my gym. Had some issues but he finally got the job done. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and hired him to do work at my house and this is where the major issues started. He asked me to ***** Him money which I did to order Control 4 products. He showed up with a third of the material and claimed the rest was on the way. He showed up at my house with Mario one time and got some things accomplished. he asked me to Zelle him more money or material which I did. Since then Quintin has lied 30 plus times about showing up at my house. He promised me up down “I’m coming today” and has never showed up. He’s sent pics of cars he’s buying that are well over 100k saying he was at dealership and was gonna make it right after. I’ve asked Quentin numerous times to either bring my equipment or refund my money. He has not done either. I then found out that he was asking people to ***** and cash app him money because he was ordering from control 4 and not paying his bill all while pocketing the money. So now he’s no longer and distributor for them and can’t even get the material to finish the job without paying again. Even before writing this I asked him to please refund money and I would leave this alone. He never responded. After researching his companies I noticed the trend he has done this all across Florida and Texas with numerous negative review.
I hope this review helps someone not get scammed by him like so many others have.Business Response

We had this company do some work at our house. We foolishly paid for a receiver that Quinton (the owner) said he would buy and install. We are pretty sure he never bought the receiver and pocketed the money. After 2 months of outlandish excuses and not returning phone calls, he stole $2553.95 from us. We gave him every opportunity to pay us back and was more than patient with him. We found him on Home Advisor with good reviews. That's why we hired him. But turns out Skyspeed has the worst customer service and will take your money and run. That considered, a Class A Misdemeanor in Texas, punishable by up to one year in jail and a $4000 fine. Theft between $2,500 and $30,000 is a state jail felony. We hope this review helps others to avoid this company and find another company that is reputable and local to you. By far the worst experience by anyone in AV we've ever dealt with. Don't let the positive reviews on the web fool you like it did us. We hope this finds Skyspeed InovationBusiness Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/30) */
I had previously done work for *** and*******. They bought a home that another company had worked and on and did not finish not exactly sure what happen between the 2 party's. What******* explained was not the case at all they where missing a bout 15k worth of equipment and other companies had already made them aware of what it would cost to complete the job. The job was broken down in phases. I explained that the last phase of the job they had an additional 4 to 8 zones of audio. The amp that was ordered I explained to her what the cost would be and that amps are on back order at the time they paid half and the other half close to time for the amps to come off back order. I had another customers amp in my position I explained I could give them months later if the customer was willing to wait. He wasn't willing to wait. I then was rushed to get a amp to them and they could not work around my schedule. Then I was threatened by them they would seek legal do to the fact they borrowed the money from a family member. I think the issue is they could not afford to complete the project and had financial issues and seeked money. I explained up front that all sells where final I was willing to make an experience but******* use some remarks and comments via text and at the time I decided to stick to what was agreed upon. They have now went to social media taunting me with friends my children and work partners I have at this time I the original contract stands as final they can wait until the equipment is available of of back order. I will not tolerate the social media fake pages and bars ment they are issuing. The only are telling part of the story not the ful story
Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/31) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
To be clear, the issue is NOT that we cannot afford to complete the project, the issue is that we have $2553.95 tied up in the purchase of an item that we have not received. We can pay someone else to complete the project tomorrow, but that does not negate the fact that you have $2553.95 that was not honestly earned. The work that was to be done was part of an ongoing project as the project was not ever completed to have ever been considered "previous work". The status of the equipment that was on hand has no bearing on the argument in question which is that you were paid for a product that was not produced and that you admitted you had used the money to procure, but never produced a viable product to our residence. The communication that you sent that prompted the payment of the remainder of the money was that the item was no longer on backorder, that is why payment was given, not because of a lack of patience. Any follow up that came after the initial down payment had been made was simply in inquiry to the investment that had already been entrusted to you. It was initially stated that tracking information would be provided for the amplifier, and when it was not, despite numerous requests for such, that is when the doubt grew. You then had an appointment to come install the equipment on three occasions, none of which offered any follow through on delivery. At that time, you stated that you had obtained an amplifier through an alternate means and that it did not work and that you were essentially out the money. That decision was yours to make, not ours, therefore, we are still entitled to the $2553.95 that was paid in good faith for an item that was not provided. At this point, it has become theft as money was paid for an item and that item was not delivered. It would be like someone walking in to a store, paying for an amplifier and, after payment, the store refusing to give the customer the item. While you may have stated that all sales are final, you also stated that you had used the money to purchase an item that we have yet to receive. When you stated that you could not produce a viable item, you agreed to a refund. There is nothing anywhere stated that all sales are final, only an invoice for an item which, again, was paid for and not delivered. It seems that you are unclear that this is not a demand for refund on money paid for a service that was provided, this is a demand for recuperation of money used to purchase an item from a vendor that was not delivered. ******* has never been disrespectful to you in communication, and we have the documentation to prove that. She was simply stating that she did not need yet ANOTHER excuse as to why you could not follow through with the refund that you agreed to provide in the timeline you stated it would be provided and did not make an attempt to follow up on your progress towards rectifying the situation. The posts on social media are in no way a form of harassment, rather education and warning for others. Upon deeper research into your previous business dealings through a simple google search, that I guess we should have been more privy to check, we are by far not the only family that has fallen victim to payment for items never received. Posting our experience on social media and reviews was in no way a threat, it is doing exactly what those platforms are intended for, to educate others and prevent further harm from being done at the benefit of a crook. These posts reference only you and your business and have no mention nor implication or indication on or of your friends and family. Furthermore, no communication has in any way been threatening, simply forward motion in search of a resolution. Based on the level of professionalism offered thus far in our interactions with you, the hope to see either the money or item by any means other than going to court does not seem likely. My wife offered you several chances to make good on your word, and your word got us nowhere but here.
