$950 Refund for my deposit. I was a resident at **** ***** ** ************* ** *****. I was forced to sign the lease 7 days June 24th, 2019, before I moved into the residence. I requested to move in July 1st, because my lease at my old apartment in Minnesota ended June 30th, 2019. Mind you my girlfriend got the keys on the 24th and the townhouse wasn't ready if I was ready to move in that day. The dishwasher wasn't installed (still in box), backyard not cut, roach problem inside, wasp problem in the front yard. I requested for those things to be fixed. The office manager named ***** had an attitude when I put in the work orders. They came and sprayed, but told me I would have to pay out of pocket if they had to come back out and spray. ***** also told me to buy wasp spray and would give me a credit if I brought the receipt in showing I paid for it. Well I was credited maybe at the most twice. They refused to do anymore credits. There was a leak in one of the bathrooms upstairs. They took weeks to come out and fix it. Which led to a higher water bill for the month. They refused to credit the amount. So I provided bills showing proof how the water increased the month of the leak. Eventually after putting up my concerns, the credit was issued. Faulty garbage disposal, blamed me and had to pay for the plumbing bill. And finally replaced it just this year after numerous issues. I paid my rent on time and never had any noise complaints by any means. Now to today. I moved out of the residence 10/31/2021. The week before moving out **** the leasing manager told me these exact words, "You will have your deposit money within 14 days." My girlfriend had the walk thru with ****. He wrote down scratches on the countertops in the bathrooms. **** said he will have to speak with the owners to see if they want to charge for the damages. Never heard back. He now says 60 days. Not telling me the damages or costs. Disabled Veteran on a fixed income. Company known for keeping deposits.
