    On 6/13/2024 Friends Plumbing replaced a garbage disposal. I was not able to obtain a phone estimate as noted on website. The tech arrived and informed me the estimate for the service call and diagnosis was $99 whether or not he replaced the disposal. The final estimate included service call diagnosis, parts and less than one hour labor at a cost of $437.34. I asked the cost if he just removed the disposal and connected the plumbing and i was told the same or more. I chose to replace the disposal. The tech went to his truck no less than four times during the service call to retrieve missing parts and warranty for a product out of the box. The invoice was emailed. No information other than date, and total amount was provided The invoice is not itemized. The warranty card was definitely handled and did not look like it came out of a new box. I completed the warranty online and was asked for the dealer code/license. I requested this information and an itemized bill three times and i was just informed they don't do that. The part model can be found at hardware and home improvement stores for $140 retail and icludes all parts required to installed with out scavaging parts from a truck. I am currently working with the manufacturer to honor the warranty. I am a retired forensic fraud investigator. I informed Friendly Plumbing I was filing a complaint with the BBB. I find Friends Plumbing billing and accounting policies out of complince with best practices. I find their customer service lacking and absent. I cannot recommend their business in good faith. Beware of businesses that are not transparent. I called them because they installed the original disposal in 2006. Bad business practices are bad business for the consumer.Retired MBA

    We did the work as customer requested in full, there are no issues with the actual service. When it came time to pay this customer was dissatisfied with pricing of invoice, we cannot break it down any further and do not ever break it down any further than the amount listed on the invoice. The estimated cost was explained in the estimate, this is a pricing issue because they did not like the total invoiced amount. We deserve to be paid for our time, they appear to be trying to dispute paying the total.
