Sent used phone in for trade in. My device was sent in perfect condition. They contacted me with a reduced offer due to supposed pre existing scratches on my phone that did not exist prior to me shipping my phone to them. They obviously damaged my device and are refusing to take ownership of their actions. I want them to either pay me the originally offered price for my phone, to replace my phone with one in the condition that mine was sent in or to repair the damage they caused to my phone and return it to me.Business Response

Hello ******,
Thank you for your feedback and we apologize for not being satisfied with our services.
After checking your order details it looks like that your order has been adjusted due to light scratches on the screen and battery condition. For orders submitted as being in "Flawless" condition, the device must be "with zero scratches, scuffs or other marks. Looks like new. Battery health must show above 95%." Devices with traces of use and battery health of 88% would fall under our "Good" condition category. All this information is specified on our website when choosing the condition of the device.
We are very careful about our customer's devices because we understand that these devices are not our property and your device could not have been damaged in our office. We have tried to resolve and explain this situation and have provided you with a video confirmation of the condition of the device that was received.
We were able to reach a solution with you that worked for both parties and the payment for your device was made. We recommend waiting for a response from us before leaving the review so we can provide appropriate support.
If you have any questions regarding our condition guidelines, please contact us at ***********************************Customer Answer

I sent in my Apple iPad Pro, 13" m4 with 1 TB of storage on July 5th and received an email on July 8th from the company that they received my item. I am still waiting for an email on when my check will be mailed to me. I have not received any correspondence since that email. I tried contacting the company multiple times by email; no response. They have my iPad and I am waiting for my check for $1,427.00. Thanks for your time.*********************** ************************************************************************** ************Business Response

On June 8th I received two quotes for 2 Apple iPhone X Max phones that were in excellent condition. They quoted $532 and sent 2 labels to affix to the two boxes with our phones in them. They instructed us to take them to the usps, which we did that day. Weeks go by and we get this email from SWAPPA that they haven't received our phones and their closing out the quote/file. I traced the phones with the usps tracking number **********************.When traced, it says "shipping label created,USPS Awaiting item 06/08/2022 10:41 pm Minneapolis Mn *****". So it appears USPS lost or stole my two phones. I went to post office they gave me an 800# to call. After being shuffled around forever, I am informed there is no insurance or recourse to get my phones back! I write to this Swappa and they tell me it's my problem basically.I own a shipping business, 30 years now. If you ship with FedEx or UPS you have recourse if it disappears. Since Swappa utilizes a mail service that's cheap to ship but offers no liability coverage it is Swappas responsibility to pay us for our phones since we proved we did exactly what they asked us to do, with their carrier, using their labels! Swappa pay me for my phones. You probably received them and resold them, I have both serial numbers to search for them.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/08) */ Hello *******, First of all, we would like to apologize for this situation. Unfortunately, the USPS tracking number (**********************) shows "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item" which means that the parcel was not accepted by the post office and was not even shipped. The parcel is not lost in transit. We asked you to provide a receipt for sending the parcel, but you replied that you do not have it. Since there is no confirmation of shipping the parcel, none of the courier services (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc) will be able to start searching for the parcel or accept the claim. We have not received the devices and there is no confirmation that your devices have been shipped, in this case our company cannot reimburse or pay you for this offer. Also, we would like to admit that we are not "Swappa", we are "GadgetPickup" company. If you have shipped your devices to the other company, please contact them. Best regards, GadgetPickup Team Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/08/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I believe my phones were stolen from the post office we brought them to. I called ATT and turned off their phones so ha ha to them. too bad for me.
