1 starMy wife and I were completely misled and pressured into buying what we thought was an investment property from Westgate but turned out to be a worthless timeshare. The sales team, led by *** *****, never once mentioned the word "timeshare." Instead, they called it an "investment property" that we could sell for profit and pass on to our kids. They brought in multiple supervisors to pressure us when we kept saying no. When they found out my wife works at a school, they suddenly offered a "tremendous discount" that was supposedly only available that day. After hours of manipulation, we felt forced to buy just to escape. They rushed us to loan officer ***** ****** without explaining the high interest rates or that we had a right to cancel. It was mainly focused on just signing to get us out quickly. We were never told this was actually a timeshare until it was too late. Two years later, we've paid $2000 in loans and fees but haven't been able to use the property even once. The promised "unbelievable" benefits through ********************** were completely false, and we discovered we'd have to pay yearly membership fees that weren't disclosed upfront. This company uses deceptive ways to trap people into contracts they don't understand. Stay far away from Westgate Resorts!Review fromDee S

1 starMy room was not as advertised with stairs. Food was in the freezer and the couch was peeling with hard white stains on it. The carpet was dark with spots. I called the front desk told her I wasn't happy with the room that it was not as advertised and she told me I had to spend more money to get what was advertised. I was harrassed by someone asking for my time to talk about a time share. I paid full price for the room. I took pictures and told the front desk what happened as I was checking out at 5 am. I asked for a supervisor but she gave me an email telling me "he" could help me but it was her work email so I did not send the photos. I did however email her asking for managerial staffs phone number and email address. No response. I called again later that day after leaving the resort and spoke with someone named ****** who says he was a supervisor. I asked him for a credit b/c the room was not sanitary and not as advertised. He would not even after he heard a recorded conversation with the front desk that I wasn't satisfied with the room. This happened July, 2025 at the Westgate Resort Town Center in ********* Florida.Review fromAshtan D

1 starWhile I was working for Westgate *********** in ***************************************, I had just got done working 48 hours that week and I had my last 12 hour shift. The next day went into work like it was nothing worked. The first couple of hours went on my 35 minute break And when I came back from my break, I was going into a heat stroke and when I contacted my supervisors one, ****** thought that I was lying was communicating with me, as if I was lying to him about what I was feeling, and then ****** **** he put a bag of ice all over me Because I was having a heat stroke and if anyone knows smart, you dont put anything ice cold on anybody who is going through a heat stroke because when they did that my body then went into shock I could not move. I was stiff. They left me under the sun all I have to say is dont ever work there and dont go there for a vacationReview fromBrian C

1 starOur decision to buy at Westgate Resorts was based on misleading information, outright lies, and promises that have already been broken. What we ended up with is a financial drain that provides no value whatsoever to our family. Five hours of relentless pressure. Every time we said noand I cannot count how many times we said itthey came back with another offer, supposedly lower prices for smaller units. They would not take no for an answer, and frankly, they wore us down with tactics that I can only describe as predatory. They told us that Westgate resorts were exclusively for owners. This is completely false, and I can prove it. When I tried to book our Orlando property using my timeshare points well in advance, Westgate told me they could not accommodate the request. Yet my wife was able to go online and book the exact same resort through Westgate's public websitenot only did she get the reservation, but she got it at a rate that was actually cheaper than what we could access through our supposed "owner benefits." How does that make any sense? The pattern of misrepresentation I have outlined here shows that this contract was obtained through fraud and should be voided immediately. I am hoping Westgate will do the right thing and resolve this without forcing us into expensive and time-consuming legal battles.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

Dear Mr. ***************** thank you for your patience while we reviewed your correspondence. We apologize for the delay in our response and for any inconvenience this may have caused. Westgates response is as follows.
First and foremost, with respect to your concern with the value of the timeshare interest, we ask you to understand that the purchase of a timeshare should be based upon its value as an investment into a lifetime of future vacations.
Additionally, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced due to the length of the presentation you attended, and if you felt pressured or uncomfortable in any way. Since there may have been offers presented on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the available inventory, the representative may have expressed some urgency regarding the offer. Notwithstanding, please know you were never obligated to remain past the agreed-upon time or to purchase a timeshare.Ultimately, you had the right to inform the sales staff or closing officer of any discomfort to ensure proper action was taken, or refrain from purchasing if your concerns were not addressed to your satisfaction.
As for your claim that you were allegedly advised that resorts are exclusively for owners, please be advised that, while we can confirm that owners do book from an owner-exclusive inventory pool, this claim is verbal. Further, please understand that there are two allotments of inventory: sold and unsold. The Developer pays the *** on all unsold inventory just as owners, such as you, pay the *** on sold inventory.Because of this, each of you has control of the usage rights, which will allow you to rent, sell, or use the property any way you see fit based upon availability. That being said, the Developer chooses to use the unsold allotment toward growth (e.g., marketing, third-party rentals, etc.), which results in offsetting resort fees. That being said, to be clear, this unsold inventory in no way affects your sold allotments availability.
Mr. *******, ultimately, the final decision to continue with the presentation after saying no, and to subsequently purchase, was solely yours as the consumer. As such, Westgates position is that your contract is valid and enforceable.
While we are appreciative of your concerns,Westgate is available to help. We encourage you to contact our **************** Team at ************** for further assistance regarding your ownership.
We thank you for the opportunity to be of service.
Respectfully,

1 starI only stayed at Westgate because the Salsa Super Congress was being hosted here. They were running a special promotion which seemed affordable until I realized I was signing up for a one-lifetime-subscription-for-regret.The 90-minute Presentation = Half Your Day Gone This was advertised as a quick 90-minute presentation. In reality? Expect to spend 23 hours minimum. They check you in, make you wait in the lobby, ask you to eat before starting (why?), then bring you into an endless upsell loop where one manager after another tries to get you to buy their product. When you say no, they wont let you leave. They literally block you with sales tactics and pressure. Because of this nonsense, I missed my entire morning plan, including a long-anticipated visit to The Sphere. This isnt a presentation its a lifetime subscription to regret. Please dont fall for ***** Security on Guest Floors There is no keycard access or security on guest room floors. I received multiple flyers for massage and pizza discounts slid under my door every single day clearly from random people walking through the hotel halls. Thats not safe. Any outsider can just take the elevator up.This made me feel uncomfortable.Late Checkout = $45 I asked to check out just 30 minutes later (11:30 AM instead of 11), and they said it would be $45. Seriously?Aggressive Vibes All Around From the staff to the overall vibe, everything here feels like a hard sell. It honestly feels like, because I got a discounted room rate through the promo, I was nickel-and-dimed at every step toothpaste, late checkout, everything costs ******** warmth, no hospitality. Just relentless selling and marketing.I will never stay here again. The only reason I came this time was because the Salsa Congress was here and that event was amazing. But the hotel? Never again.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

1 starMy husband and I are writing this review to warn others about the absolutely appalling experience we had with Westgate Resorts in ********* in February 2025. Despite repeatedly telling sales representative ***** and his manager that we only had $100 to our name and could not afford a timeshare, they subjected us to relentless, high-pressure tactics that made it nearly impossible to leave without signing. We were fed outright lies about this being a "valuable investment" that we could "easily resell or rent out" when the reality is there's virtually no resale market and renting is extremely complex. They deliberately downplayed or completely hid critical costs like high interest rates, maintenance fees, and limited peak season availability, leaving us completely in the dark about the true financial burden. When we tried to cancel just two days after signing, our calls went to voicemail with no response until they demanded payment - meanwhile, we've never been able to access any promised benefits since we couldn't make the $1,000 payment. The four-day cancellation window is a joke designed to trap people, and their emotionally manipulative sales pitch about "dream vacations and family memories" is nothing but a predatory scheme to exploit vulnerable consumers. This company preys on people's financial desperation and uses deceptive, high-pressure tactics that should be illegal - stay far away from Westgate Resorts and save yourself the nightmare we're still dealing with.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

1 starDuring our stay at the Westgate ********************************, we were strongly encouraged to attend a timeshare presentation, despite repeatedly expressing that we were not interested in making such a purchase. We agreed to attend what was presented as a 60-minute presentation; however, the sales team confiscated our IDs at the beginning and held them hostage, extending the presentation to over 3 hours. Throughout this extended presentation, we declined their timeshare offers at least 5 times, yet the sales team relentlessly pressured us with various options and repeated price reductions, wearing us down to the point of agreeing to the purchase. The information provided to us during the sales process was deceptive. We were led to believe that the timeshare would allow us to enjoy stays at the Westgate ******************************** on the Strip for many years to come, making it a long-term investment for vacations with our family. The sales team sold this to us to achieve our dream vacation; however, when we check in, we never receive the room we were shown during the presentation, which constitutes a massive bait and switch. It wasn't until after the purchase that we learned the timeshare didn't include stays at this property until we paid additional fees. We were also misinformed about the stability of the maintenance fees, which have increased significantly since the purchase and have further exacerbated the financial burden we now face. We've basically stopped using the timeshare because of all the extra fees imposed on us, making traveling more expensive than necessary. Having paid more than $16,000 and receiving only 4 vacations is hardly the investment in vacations these unethical salespeople promised. Westgate Resorts presentations reeks of fraud.Review fromLeandra L

1 starMy experience with Westgate Resorts and its associated representatives has been highly disappointing, misleading, and has resulted in significant financial loss and emotional distress. To date, we have spent approximately $13,500 on this contract and have never been able to book a vacation. This has caused severe financial hardship, making it impossible for us to continue making payments to this disreputable company. The sales process was marred by a severe lack of disclosure, including inflating Maintenance Fees, Special Assessments, Truth in Lending and hard credit. Then there is the Perpetuity clause that puts your heirs in financial ***** way by associating them with your financial responsibility associated with the contract. Meanwhile, they neglected to disclose our legal right of rescission per Florida law (10 days). We can not book a vacation to save our lives, yet **** Q Public can rent the same units for significantly less.Review fromTanika W

1 starI booked this trip for my second anniversary, signed up for a timeshare incentive package while at a ****** race last labor day 2024. We were promised ****** tickets to ANY race and $100 in giftcards, as well as breakfast the morning of the 90 minute presentation. We booked our trip for April 2025 and attended the presentation. Of course it ran over well into 2 and a half hours before we were finally allowed to leave. We were sent to the rewards room afterwards to collect our incentives. The only incentive we received was $100 cash no ****** race tickets. The breakfast was basic continental (cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast). I was told to call customer service to retrieve the tickets. I started calling as soon as we returned to the room. They advised me i would receive the tickets via email. Fast forward 37 days and a dozen phone calls, still no tickets and each time I am promised they have escalated ***** addition to the extremely lousy communication and not following through with what they have promised, the room itself was absolutely awful. It was small, dirty, and severely outdated. I would have never stayed here in normal circumstances. They placed us in an area adjacent to the hotel where we had to walk behind 3 small businesses and lots of dumpsters to get over to the actual hotel property.Central Florida Investments, Inc.
